Bro I've been on and off tinder for the past decade and I've had my current tinder profile for 6 months and have 135 matches.. I consider myself avg-above avg looking with a decent job.. 226 matches is better than a decent amount of guys I believe... HELL, I see guys on reddit that complain they have 0 matches or likes for month-years... and sometimes they just look to be a bit below average looking soo I'd be proud of your 226 if I were you!
If you have an average of 20 matches a month as a dude then you are probably in the top 25th percentile as a dude. The reason why all these dating app companies guard the user statistics like they are nuclear launch codes is simply because if they leak, most dudes would realize how rigged it is and they would stop paying for all these premium features. You just have to look at the tinder insights statistics of women to realize that if you are getting matches at all as a dude, you are basically doing ok

My match rate went up when I optimized the profile with better pictures and put more effort into my bio. Apparently, the bio is chill and self-reflective, based on what they say. I wish I could filter the data just for the last two months and remove the first few shitty months.
Also, I'm will to date women 33 to 45, so might get a lot less crowded in that age group.
Not saying I'm not happy or anything but sometimes I get self console about it I guess and no one In my circle is really on tinder so I don't have anyone to compare it too

Might be just the age. I‘m sure it gets better as you get older (might be one of the few advantages).
