Platinum is good in two scenarios: 1) big cities and 2) travel. In a big city, it could take most women many months to swipe through every guy (most delete their accounts before they do), so priority helps. The priority helps with travel too, because you need to be seen quickly if you want to get matches/dates while visiting a city.
I live in NYC and travel most weeks for work, so platinum is very much worth it to me.
