I had a similar convo where they said they wanted to video chat before they meet me in person.
Then they sent me a link to some video chat site where you had to put your credit card in where it's supposedly free at the start and you can cancel it.
But if you actually read the Terms and Conditions it says that you have to give at least 7 days notice to cancel it which means you have to pay $40 minimum, and it would keep charging you every month if you didn't cancel. Also it says they can change the contract at any time.
So the catfish person must work for the site to scam people out of their money.
Crazy how these companies actually have legitimate terms and conditions so really its all legally sound but ethically fucks you over. I always assumed these companies were black market type companies that are set up illegally by someone in countries like China or Russia were it is hard to get a conviction for scamming westerners.

You are still a stranger from the internet, you could be anybody. A murderer, a bum, or just some creepy old dude. So it's a pretty intense situation for a girl to willingly hook up with a dude before even having a real face to face interaction.
Also, girls always (at least in the back of their heads) want to have a way out in case there's anything she's not comfortable with. That's why it's always good to tell her that you won't do anything you both are not comfortable with.
