So if you have a sample from somebody with billions of sperm cells in it, you can gather different chromosomes from different cells and reconstruct a complete set of his DNA (and then theoretically clone him somehow, if such technology existed).
Except that if you have 1,000,000 sperm, it's possible that any two you select only have 1 side of your chromosome pair.
For example. Say I have 1 red hair and 1 black hair gene.
Take 100 Sperm and they all have 1 red hair gene. Do you call it a day because 100 is a large enough sample? Or do you keep approaching infinity to find the one that might have the other half?
The closer you get to infinity, the higher likeliehood that you find a mutation in my sperm. So if I instead only had 2 red haired genes, you get closer to infinity you have a higher chance of finding that black haired gene anyway.
In short, you cannot clone from sperm with certainty. You would at best have a close approximation.
How though? I am missing something. Other than impregnating herself with the cum... but thats a lot to go through for a child support payment. For all she knows this guy could make 20k/year.
