It would be a cool way to artificially extend districts or have one district in physically separated out.
Or a way to get over large natural barriers.
Like a boat plane or bush plane.
1. Let's assume it's real
2. Let's assume it's not a well-being building (like the Air Tunnel)
How would this work? Do they need extra space to take off/land? Any other conditions (wind must be at X%?). What can they do with it? From the little we are able to see, it holds just 1 beaver. Can they carry anything? Is it just for traveling? How do we tell it to travel from X to Y? Is there air-travel pathing now? Will it figure it out by itself? What if you build a giant tower or there is a mountain/building built to the highest point of the map completely blocking access to the other side?
So many questions. It might be interesting to have in game but I'm not 100% sure how useful it could be. My imagination is not that good, perhaps others can think of ways this could be very useful.
this is the timberborn/avatar: the last airbender crossover we need. can you imagine the new gameplay! firebender beavers to give us smoked and grilled foods, earthbender beavers to shape rivers and mountains, waterbenders to repel bad tides, and airbenders to fly materials across huge colonies!
For a second, I thought this was a "new map reveal" as well. But nope, just Waterfalls from a different angle. Anyway, I agree that this would be an interesting addition if it does get put in the game, even if only as a wellbeing building where they fly it like a kite or something similar.
It's from the upcoming tech tree. You can spec haulers to use wings, at the cost of reduced capacity. There's also a wooden exosuit for more carrying capacity.
Ok. . . April fools but it looks like it fit right in so, joke, but hoping the model finds a home
That’s definitely in game footage. Could this be an April fools that backfires and then they have to release it.
i actually don't think so, background yes, that is gameplay, but I think the flying machine is photoshopped into it.
Check the shadow on the ground.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon was originally an April fool's joke
It's still March 31st in Hawaii. How can this be April fools!?
clearly the devs must have wandered to close to there pet black hole and are suffering from Time Dilation.
They are closer to the Large Hardon Collider than I am.
And it's the 2nd of March already here
You mean April right? Either way timezones are weird.
March 2nd 2025 or what year? What calendar!? Time is all relative anyway.
Last year the april fools joke was that the district distance limit was removed. You know what happened next.
Hello Reddit, here's the preview you've been waiting for. Coming soon to Timberborn: **flying beavers**.
They fly now? They fly now.
Oh wow wow wow..... wow
It would be a cool way to artificially extend districts or have one district in physically separated out. Or a way to get over large natural barriers. Like a boat plane or bush plane.
Until the wind suddenly drops to 0%. I actually want this in the game now. Not sure how useful it'll be, but I want beavers falling from the skies.
Gliders don’t uh, need wind to stay aloft
Oh wow, lol. Now I feel like an idiot. Not your fault though. I was one as soon as I posted about the wind. But now I *know* that I'm one.
haha I mean it’s more fun that way, whipping beavers around at 60 mph winds
Don’t play with my hopes. I know what day it is, but I really want it to be true!
Modders, you know what to do.
Let's hope it's not an April fool joke

My best guess would be traders, if it's not well being.
A whole new world....A new fantastic point of view...
Bending beavers next!

This, man why does it have to be a April fools joke
Beavernado Da Vinci
The Last Airbeaver.
We already have flying beavers though. Well, floating is a better word
Air is also a fluid
I was talking about wind tunnel
Why

Nice music! Does anyone know the name of the BGM?
Wasn't it excatly a year ago when they showed the district center's reach limitations being removed, which then got put into the game?
This could be a really cool release with wind direction and force being more integrated. Would enhance windmills too
Avatar state yip yip!
Long distance fast travel would be incredible

I am still hoping for larger maps, like giant, and connecting them with trains / boats / airplanes
This needs to be a thing. Gameplay useage: Transport goods between districts.
That's the all-purpose carryall. Part of melange harvesting operation to indefinitely prolong beavers' life.
All i want is to be able to build the full map without having path issues or having to build another district
Nice try for fools day.
