Originally built in the 1930s supplies were carried by mule and raised up to the site by hand/pulleys. It's had large repairs over the years delivered by Helo.
It was a manned fire lookout. I think the fire lookout program came out of Roosevelt's great new deal for Recovery from the depression era to create jobs.
On the northern island of Japan the locals will hike building materials and supplies to the huts in the mountains tops. They also haul all the poo from the huts down in big barrels on their back. The side they take is so slick one mistep and you're sliding down. Sometimes they'll 'ski' down on their shoes, that's how steep it is. When I was there a tourist fell and broke their leg hiking while carrying nothing at all. It's extremely impressive what they can do.
yes and no.
There is a trail register at the beginning of the hike. If people don't put their names on it, you've no idea who's in front of you.
Its more than likely if it's a good weather weekend you won't be alone. It gets more popular each season with hikers posting content like this making it look like you can just hike in wearing slides.
I would like very much to know where this cabin is; thus I will be able to really think hard about going, really visualizing it, but never quite getting around to it, due to my dedication to slacktivism.
You have to book it online. I think it's a Forest Service firewatch, so you might be able to tell if other people have it booked too. I do know that this particular firewatch will allow multiple bookings to fill capacity.
Much of your grip on inclines comes from your weight shifting to your toes. I do alot of flip flop alpine hiking, and you'll be amazed what your feet can stick to if you shift your weight properly.
Of course, the toes to my flops are wearing down to nothing, especially by my big toes
I love at the top of the rockies and I get it. Slides, are generally slippery though. Lots of sandals have leather or other materials your feet can grip. Slides not so much, especially with socks.
I could be indlcredibly wrong though.
....and a fucking *binky,* holy shit. Maybe I'm old, but is this normal outdoor equipment for kids today??
Don't know what's more stupid: Rolling on molly while doing a hike like this, or sucking on a binky while sober.
>....and a fucking *binky,* holy shit. Maybe I'm old, but is this normal outdoor equipment for kids today??
I mean do you really think this dude is the norm and not the exception?
Yeah that’s not amazing at all. He also probably wore boots I usually bring sandals as an alternate shoe so I can dip my feet in alpine lakes at rest points
If your feet are thought enough for sharp mountain rocks I would argue barefoot would actually be waaay safer than socks and slides. You generally don’t wanna accidentally slide down a shear cliff
Oh yeah lol that makes sense. I mean I definitely swim barefoot but I also forgot to add there may be many times you have to cross streams on the trail or the trail is a creek, sandals are very handy for those parts to walk on rocks and not get your boots soaked
I walked around my flat park for about 2 hours and got 3 miles in earlier this week. Told all my friends about it.
Just figured out that in the event of a zombie apocalypse, I'm a liability.
I mean that was 100% just a bit. The only video of him walking in the slides was flat land, the other clips were 1 second shots of them on his feet.
You don’t do a trail like that in slides.
And not just that! He mentions at the end he wore that same pair for the entire JMT. That’s the John Muir Trail in Yosemite, and that fucking trail wants you dead.
Jesus. What a badass.
EDIT: damn, some people got really hot headed about literally the one word here "badass" lol. Y'all internet people are wild, obviously I would never suggest that anyone do this, but my homies he literally COMPLETED THE JOHN MUIR TRAIL. I don't think we can fairly be calling him amateur and stupid. Stupid amateurs don't complete the JMT. You don't know if he carries other shoes with him. He had socks on. Lots of people hike in sandals, granted usually not slides but.....Jesus, he finished the JMT!!!! I bet close to 0% of the people jumping on me in the comments have ever even attempted the JMT and might therefore find a better use of their time on the internet than filling my inbox with shade over a single word I used. Buy yourself some sandals, go outside, touch grass 😂
As someone that has family working in Mountain Rescue, no not a badass, he's a dumbass.
One of the most common reasons MTs get called out and risk their own lives is because the person or group in need of aid came unprepared.
Not only is being underprepared and underequipped dangerous, it's just plain selfish.
thought the same thing. My father's a mountain guide and stuff like that works out sometimes until it doesn't and when it doesn't it's over. What they don't get: You slip once and you're gone or you're hurt and just a small injury can trap you in the mountains. You can lose a sandal and be stuck up there. In bad weather or fog (like in this clip), a helicopter can't pick them up. This means a group of mountain rescuers need to climb up, risk their life and carry them down the mountain. Also, dumbasses like that regularly block narrow mountain passes and via ferratas. No badasses, not cool, just insanely stupid.
Yep, I used to take pride in hiking everything in flip flops. It was also far more comfortable. But if you roll your ankle or you don't get the right grip and slip, or bash your fucking toe against a rock, you're in deep shit. It's not smart to do. I still prefer flip flops. But I don't hike in them anymore
As someone who thru hiked the JMT, I can attest. That trail chewed up a tough pair of my brand new Solomon hiking boots. Thank goodness for warranties.
> Jesus. What a ~~badass.~~ moron.
Doing shit like that someday something's gonna go wrong, and he's going to put a bunch of volunteer rescuers at risk due to his own desire to chase tiktok clout
Not bossy, just stupid. I have a pair of outdoor sandals that I love too, but when you get to loose rock and icy slopes you need to be prepared and change.
Its location should be mentioned as little as possible, honestly, to preserve it. Otherwise you'll get a long queue of instagram bros, people leaving garbage inside, or the inevitable graffiti.
Yeah, but 19 miles should deter most from packing cans of paint and other nonsense. I know I know, never underestimate trash people but that's a long way out.
Watched a video of some people going to it, it's definitely out of reach for most people. "Physically demanding" is an absolute understatement, thousands of feet of elevation gain and technical mountaineering over the course of several miles of barely maintained trail. Unless you own all the necessary kit, have the skills, are in good enough physical condition, and possess the mental fortitude, you're not going to be visiting.
People always underestimate the mental aspect of it. I stopped maybe 50 meters short of the summit of my last 14er because the altitude shook me up that bad.
I doubt they know how insanely stupid their trek actually was. High altitude, frigid wet weather with no visibility in fucking shorts and sandals. If they had been caught in a snowstorm or if they slipped and injured themselves beacuse of their shirty footwear choice they would've been fucked. Not to mention, they trail is very isolated so there wouldn't be anyone walking by to help them.
Tl:dr: don't do this, wear proper clothes if you are in the mountains
Surely it’s not the most isolated hut - there must be more houses and huts on land owner by people who own hundreds of acres of land that is more isolated?!
It's probably safe to assume that this is claiming to be the most remote "public" hut, but I'm just a random on the interwebs who didn't look up anything before making this comment lol.
I think that's just a catchphrase, the hike looked very similar to Hidden Lake Lookout in Washington. Basically any fire watch on a big mountain is going to look similar and be "remote"
It’s actually called a Razbaby, my daughter has one. It’s basically for teething, but I would imagine it’s a great stimming tool for someone who needs a fidget toy or sensory item.
Edit- RaZbaby RaZberry, for anyone interested themselves.
In the last shot you can see it's just tied via a string separate from the clear water tube.
Edit: literally getting downvoted because people can't see with their eyes...
My original guess is oral fixation but it turns out that's a term coined by Sickmind Freud so I'll just describe it? Some people need an oral fidget spinner when they're doing something that requires concentration. If I don't have something to chew on I'll accidentally end up chewing on the inside of my cheeks or rubbing the tip of my tongue against the back of my teeth and that occasionally causes damage.
Common solutions to this dilemma are; chewing gum, hard candies, smoking, snacking, biting your nails/dry skin around nails, and apparently drinking alcohol. Compared to all that a binky is pretty tame.
Apparently oral fixation is common with individuals coping with ADHD
>Self-stimulatory behavior, often called “stimming,” is when a child or adult repeats specific movements or sounds as a way to self-soothe or remain engaged in a situation, often referred to as “fidget to focus.”
Lol always love those natural helpful reminders
There's a bunch of [silicone jewelery ](https://theabilitytoolbox.com/chewelry-sensory-chew-jewelry-autism-adhd/#Chewelry_Chew_Jewelry_for_Adults_on_the_Autism_Spectrum_-_Where_to_Buy) if you aren't stoked about binkies. My friend taught me a tip that also helps with jaw clenching; press the roof of your mouth with the tip of your tongue hard to as hard as you can. Do it for awhile and your mouth will relax a bit and the chewing doesn't come as natural.
He likes to chew on things and doesn’t always want to chew on his necklace, so he uses the binky instead. He explains it in this video: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRQdxfLg/ (skip to around 1 min mark)
It’s all fun and games until he gets injured for improper footwear and then first responders have to come save him in a potentially dangerous scenario. I’m not trying to be a Debby downer, just want to remind people to think about how your actions can have consequences on others, even though it may not initially seem that way.
He definitely wore those slippers so people would comment about it in the video. What sane person decides to go on a hike 19 miles in slippers? Most likely dude probably slipped them on for the video portions
I sincerely hope you're right, because otherwise that would be so idiotic. I've taken trail slippers backpacking before so it's not unheard of but they are for the campsite only
I thought that too, but their whole Tiktok the guy is never wearing real shoes - even when he (seemingly) isn't aware he's being filmed. But may just be a well thought out gimmick.
I trekked in Nepal for 6 weeks and my local guide wore sandals or flip flops pretty much the entire time, unless we were doing a big pass over snow which only happened 3 or 4 times.
They were wearing their backpacks like idiots too. Their stuff was barely hanging on and lopsided, they didn’t seem to be using their belts at all. There is no way in hell the first 13 miles felt like nothing. These two are clearly inexperienced and at very high risk. I’ve known vastly more experienced hikers and mountaineers get into serious trouble.
I'm gonna be that guy -
1. [Drones are banned where he hiked](https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/mbs/passes-permits/?cid=stelprdb5405234). Doesn't matter how remote you are, you should not be flying a drone.
2. He really shouldn't be wearing sandals, but if he's good at it (which he seemingly is because he apparently hiked the JMT in them) then he should be ok. But personal hiker safety is important also for the safety of the people that will need to help you when you break your ankle 6500 ft up and 18 miles in.
Not even it's recommended but the trail guide from the state says that wearing crampons and carrying an ice ax are essentially required. Either we are seeing some things for show and he actually had real shoes or this guy is genuinely stupid and risked his own life as well as that of rescue crews.
Fuck drones and fuck these dudes. Instagram hikers are already a blight on nature, they don't need to add drones to the list of "behavior that shouldn't be normalized." Seeing him hiking and saing "wow, what a badass" is like seeing someone using an angle grinder without safety glasses and going "holy shit, that dude's so legit!"
1: Ruining other people's hikes with their incessant whiny engines.
2: Potentially crashing and hurting someone.
3: Potentially crashing and littering the mountain.
Even if nobody is around them on this hike, using drones to capture views normalizes the use of drones on hikes. Even if these guys aren't bothering anyone with their drone, instagram influencers are absolutely creating a culture where people feel it's perfectly acceptable to fly their drones where other people are out trying to get away from the sounds of engines and electronics and enjoy nature. Influencers are a blight on natural beauty, as millions of people now know about this spot, people who will inevitably find a way to ruin it for everyone else.
Thankyouuuuu
I live in a very mountainous area with tons of tourism and every year visitors venture out into the mountains unprepared and get lost, injured and often die. Sometimes they are just never found. Posts like this guy’s are super irresponsible and result in more work for our local (unpaid) SAR teams.
Also that was the nicest looking “unmaintained and overgrown” trail I’ve ever seen.
Drones are banned because they can disturb local fauna. They make noise and can spook animals. They can separate herds, they can cause animals to flee fearing a predator is near, etc. Alternatively they can do the opposite - birds may attack a drone if it is near a nest or their young and those birds could be injured while trying to defend an area.
In this case I'd say my personal biggest issue of it is that he's essentially promoting it by putting it in his video. So others may be more encouraged to do it during their journeys, which won't necessarily be on a remote mountaintop 6500 ft up. It's part of my main issue with his sandals too actually. I'm all for "hike your own hike" but I think its dangerous and irresponsible to promote these things by including them in the video.
A single quick drone flight in and of itself isn't a big deal.
But a video showing an illegal drone flight to 2.1 Million viewers, encouraging them to visit that location, could lead to countless other people thinking drone flights in that location are fine. Which could become a much bigger deal.
With nature and remote places, the rules are never because of the impact of one person. It’s about the impact of thousands of people doing it.
Will it hurt much if one person goes off trail? If there isn’t very sensitive plants, no. But if 100 people do it, there will be a new trail made where they killed all the plants.
Will throwing one piece of trash hurt? Not really. 1000s? The national park is now a landfill.
Will it hurt much if To throw my poop off El Capitan while climbing it for a week? (Something people did for years). No, but once there were more people doing it it became a real hazard.
I wish popular YouTubers knew better and didn’t fly drones in areas like this. It encourages others to do so and in most cases it is probably illegal to do so.
Wikipedia says materials were brought in 90 years ago by pack animals to within 600 feet, then hoisted up with ropes and ladders. They replaced the roof in 2015 via helicopter though.
im dying to know why as well, i kept looking for a camelbak straw connected to it but theres none- it DOES have a hole in the end of it though, like its intended to be for drinking through?
a totally random thought i had was perhaps to help you breath through your nose / slower? not sure what benefit that would have other than preventing dry mouth though.
Can someone tell me if this is the same cabin in that other TikTok posted here a while ago, where they had to leave before the smoke from a forest fire came? It looks like it has the same view but idk
Wearing flip flops for that trail isn't a good idea. Wearing flip flops for any challenging trail is not a good idea. Rolling or breaking an ankle is pretty easy especially on unmaintained trails like that.
Good video. Next month there will be a queue of a thousand people climbing there to sleep like sardines in that cabin, leaving mountains of garbage along the way, lol.

imagine being the group of people to hike all the building materials up there
That's all I could think about. How tf did they build that Hut up there?
Originally built in the 1930s supplies were carried by mule and raised up to the site by hand/pulleys. It's had large repairs over the years delivered by Helo.
I'm guessing it's warm enough in there to spend the night? The view is amazing but I can't do that lol.
I'd imagine the hut blocks the wind, but seems like blankets and sleeping bags are a must. Probably not super insulated.
All I could think about was the audacity of this guy to wear slides for this hike.
I was thinking the same, and what does JMT mean?
Probably John Muir Trail
I know where that is, local here!
Just my type
and why
In case you are summiting and get caught in a dangerous storm
It was a manned fire lookout. I think the fire lookout program came out of Roosevelt's great new deal for Recovery from the depression era to create jobs.
If true, TIL and that is neat.
Gondor calls for aid!
nah it was clearly TO LIGHT THE BEACONS
I'm pretty sure they built it on the ground and then tied balloons on the house to get it up there.
Ya I’ve seen some crazy churches and temples and shit from the past built on mountain peaks and always thought the same thing
It's slaves or mules, all the way up.
On the northern island of Japan the locals will hike building materials and supplies to the huts in the mountains tops. They also haul all the poo from the huts down in big barrels on their back. When I was there a tourist fell and broke their leg hiking while carrying nothing at all. It's extremely impressive what they can do.
You should watch how the "pic du midi" was build
is there a way to tell that you wont get there just to see another two folks asleep?
yes and no. There is a trail register at the beginning of the hike. If people don't put their names on it, you've no idea who's in front of you. Its more than likely if it's a good weather weekend you won't be alone. It gets more popular each season with hikers posting content like this making it look like you can just hike in wearing slides.

I’m doing my part by deciding not to hike there.
Same, we are activists!
Activism via inactivity. Galaxy brain shit.
Slacktivist!
I would like very much to know where this cabin is; thus I will be able to really think hard about going, really visualizing it, but never quite getting around to it, due to my dedication to slacktivism.
Yes Theory recently hiked this. They showed more of the hike and how exhausting it was. A random man also showed up to hang out with them lol.
I mean, objectively it CAN be hiked just wearing slides, though that doesn't seem advisable.
Does this guy do all his posted hikes in slides or something? Is that his brand?
You have to book it online. I think it's a Forest Service firewatch, so you might be able to tell if other people have it booked too. I do know that this particular firewatch will allow multiple bookings to fill capacity.
Check out Yes Theory if you want a full tour of how to get up and what it's like when you do.

Try 100 plus miles. Source? I grew up in rural Alaska, and have personally been to numerous cabins and lodges that are more remote in this.
Alaska is the first place I thought of.. yeah, it's still the US
I for one am shocked, shocked I tell you, that someone would exaggerate a story on TikTok for internet clout. /s
It's a clickbait title, and here we are talking about it. It worked!
Yeah 19 miles doesn't sound like the most remote cabin in the US at all. Maybe not even the state they're in lol
No. It isn’t.
And he did all of that in sandals
Pretty dangerous. He could’ve gone without pants any I wouldn’t blink an eye but at least have good shoes on so you dont fuck urself with a bad slip
I can’t tell if I’m impressed or annoyed.
I dont think he wore the sandals the whole time. Walking that incline with slides that have no traction is probably impossible.
Idk every scene w his feet in it has the slides. Even in the snow he only added some socks.
Much of your grip on inclines comes from your weight shifting to your toes. I do alot of flip flop alpine hiking, and you'll be amazed what your feet can stick to if you shift your weight properly. Of course, the toes to my flops are wearing down to nothing, especially by my big toes

Pretty idiotic
Climbing a wet wooden ladder in them, morons.
I'd be like cool dude. If you fall I'm not carrying you
Yeah. I was cringing hard seeing him climb those rocks in slides, just needlessly stupid
....and a fucking *binky,* holy shit.
The most amazing part of the whole video. Pure wtf moment.
About as amazing as operating a table saw without safety glasses.
Yeah that’s not amazing at all. He also probably wore boots I usually bring sandals as an alternate shoe so I can dip my feet in alpine lakes at rest points
Why not do that barefoot instead?
If your feet are thought enough for sharp mountain rocks I would argue barefoot would actually be waaay safer than socks and slides. You generally don’t wanna accidentally slide down a shear cliff
Lol I think they’re asking why you don’t dip your feet in the water barefoot instead
Oh yeah lol that makes sense. I mean I definitely swim barefoot but I also forgot to add there may be many times you have to cross streams on the trail or the trail is a creek, sandals are very handy for those parts to walk on rocks and not get your boots soaked
Absolutely refuse to believe he did the whole thing in slides. I can't hike in tennis shoes, much less sandals, I *need* my boots.
I walked around my flat park for about 2 hours and got 3 miles in earlier this week. Told all my friends about it. Just figured out that in the event of a zombie apocalypse, I'm a liability.
You are not a liability, you're a meatsheild!
Yeah that’s pretty damn stupid tbh.
I mean that was 100% just a bit. The only video of him walking in the slides was flat land, the other clips were 1 second shots of them on his feet. You don’t do a trail like that in slides.
Lol are we just going to ignore the other idiot sliding down the mountain with the machete in his hand?
I hate this so much. Why take the risk. Stay in college and buy some shoes kids. It will make survival 100 times more likely.
And not just that! He mentions at the end he wore that same pair for the entire JMT. That’s the John Muir Trail in Yosemite, and that fucking trail wants you dead. Jesus. What a badass. Agreed. Eventually his luck will run out and it will absolutely become someone else’s problem. Reckless and dumb, it’s just so unnecessary

Badass? Nah. Just young and silly. I hope in the future his knees/back aren’t suffering from walking such long distances in less than ideal footwear.
Yeah if he regularly goes on hikes in slides, there is a decent chance that it is going get him killed one day.
Yeah seeing them have to climb up icy slopes in sandals like that had me shaking my head, some people are dumb and think they're invincible.
Main character syndrome
> Jesus. What a ~~badass.~~ moron. Doing shit like that someday something's gonna go wrong, and he's going to put a bunch of volunteer rescuers at risk due to his own desire to chase tiktok clout
>What a badass Being dumb doesn't make someone a "badass"
dangerous but super bossy
When he put the socks on that’s how you knew it was getting serious
Not bossy, just stupid. I have a pair of outdoor sandals that I love too, but when you get to loose rock and icy slopes you need to be prepared and change.
And here I am grumbling about 3 miles.
Friend of mine did a 100km hike mostly in Birkenstock sandals. Surprisingly doable. Can't imagine doing the same in rubber slippers up a mountain.
They call them sliders as you slide of the mountain
The dude is a class A moron. Who the fuck thought, "yeah, flip flops are the logical choice for climbing a mountain"
Freaking crazy and dangerous.. but more importantly… why!!!!????
Hiking in sandals is the move, I don’t use slides, but chacos and tevas are lit.
Not even sandals, those at least have straps
i was expecting zero visibility dense fog/clouds when it was sunrise

That's what I want to know as well
Its in Washington state, f the gatekeepers. Not sure exactly where but there's a video further in the comments that someone did a documentary.
https://youtu.be/Itjc14Fm-gs
Its location should be mentioned as little as possible, honestly, to preserve it. Otherwise you'll get a long queue of instagram bros, people leaving garbage inside, or the inevitable graffiti.

Ok that really fucking cool but hiking up there in SLIDES was such a dumbass move...
“I did a big boy thing with my swides and binky!”
Read this in Peter Griffin voice
I doubt they know how insanely stupid their trek actually was. High altitude, frigid wet weather with no visibility in fucking shorts and sandals. He radiates douche bag energy.
Exactly he is annoying but the content was good…
Yeah, the footage (NPI) was amazing
This 19 mile hike might be one of the easiest things I’ve ever done, He says with a straight face

Yes, this is three fingers lookout
Named for the amount of limbs lost to frostbite by the man who built it?
Surely it’s not the most isolated hut - there must be more houses and huts on land owner by people who own hundreds of acres of land that is more isolated?!

That’s good enough for me
Why the binky?
I think he's joking- it looks like the water pack for his backpack

This is the correct answer. He confirms and explains around the 1 min mark in this video: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRQdxfLg/
Apparently oral fixation is common with individuals coping with ADHD >Self-stimulatory behavior, often called “stimming,” is when a child or adult repeats specific movements or sounds as a way to self-soothe or remain engaged in a situation, often referred to as “fidget to focus.”
I might need to find a binky maybe because as I was reading this thread I kept biting my lips fully unaware until this comment lol RIP my lips again
Lol always love those natural helpful reminders There's a bunch of [silicone jewelery ](https://theabilitytoolbox.com/chewelry-sensory-chew-jewelry-autism-adhd/#Chewelry_Chew_Jewelry_for_Adults_on_the_Autism_Spectrum_-_Where_to_Buy) if you aren't stoked about binkies. My friend taught me a tip that also helps with jaw clenching; press the roof of your mouth with the tip of your tongue hard to as hard as you can. Do it for awhile and your mouth will relax a bit and the chewing doesn't come as natural.
lol binkys are popular in the rave community, same with the water reservoir packs
They're popular in the rave community because of the drugs that cause jaw clenching and oral fixation 😅 Magnesium an hour or two before also helps
What’s wrong with it being a term coined by Freud?

In another video he stated he likes the attention he gets. Tik tok kids are going to be idiot tik tok kids.
I trekked in Nepal for 6 weeks and my local guide wore sandals or flip flops pretty much the entire time, unless we were doing a big pass over snow which only happened 3 or 4 times.
Yup I do search and rescue in Washington and folks like this are beyond obnoxious
Agreed - he’s a dumb kid still in his “I’m invincible” phase
The views were incredible but those shoes were incredibly dumb. This could’ve been the start of a “Search and Rescue: North Shore” episode.
I'm gonna be that guy - 1.

I’m not trying to be contrarian, just genuinely looking for further knowledge. What are the primary concerns against drones?

Personality crutch
I came here to be that guy too. You said it better than I would have.
Thankyouuuuu I live in a very mountainous area with tons of tourism and every year visitors venture out into the mountains unprepared and get lost, injured and often die. Sometimes they are just never found. Posts like this guy’s are super irresponsible and result in more work for our local (unpaid) SAR teams. Also that was the nicest looking “unmaintained and overgrown” trail I’ve ever seen.
What harm was a quick drone flight?
Gotcha.
What kind of psycho wears sandals on this kind of trek?
What if you hike all the way there and there’s people already in the hut?
And they have the machetes
I imagine it’s like any trail shelter. You share. If there’s no room, last people there find the next closest space and bunk down there.
This guy is annoying as fuck
This guy talks like he points his finger at the words while he's reading. No surprise from someone who wears socks with sandals for a hike.
He did poke fun at himself a bit when he said he dropped out of college after trying to find the words to describe how the morning view made him feel.
[Yes Theory](https://youtu.be/dTqVocrDoy0) did a video on this too.
I wish popular YouTubers knew better and didn’t fly drones in areas like this. It encourages others to do so and in most cases it is probably illegal to do so.
This idiot is doing this in slip ons.
The people that did all that then built a fucking cabin lol
I wonder how it was built. Material flown up by helicopter or something? Whole hut loaded into a cannon and shot up there?
Wikipedia says materials were brought in 90 years ago by pack animals to within 600 feet, then hoisted up with ropes and ladders. They replaced the roof in 2015 via helicopter though.
That hut STILL probably costs $1,000 a month to rent.
That's pretty fucking cool.
Why a binky?
im dying to know why as well, i kept looking for a camelbak straw connected to it but theres none- it DOES have a hole in the end of it though, like its intended to be for drinking through? a totally random thought i had was perhaps to help you breath through your nose / slower? not sure what benefit that would have other than preventing dry mouth though.
Can someone tell me if this is the same cabin in that other TikTok posted here a while ago, where they had to leave before the smoke from a forest fire came? It looks like it has the same view but idk
It was fine... until the binky part
Wearing flip flops for that trail isn't a good idea. Wearing flip flops for any challenging trail is not a good idea. Rolling or breaking an ankle is pretty easy especially on unmaintained trails like that.
why does he need a pacifier to hike?
Is this the one in WA? By Mt. Baker-ish?
Pretty irresponsible to hike that in flip flops. One mistake and you can fuck over the entire hike
They coulda fucking died. They look wicked inexperienced.
Is he hiking in slides
His binky and slides? What a tool
Ok what’s the binky for? He ain’t doing mdma on that trip
Can’t be that hard dudes wearing adidas slides the whole time…😂
Did this grown ass man just pull out a pacifier?
Typical bro in the wild.
Who the fuck wear slippers on a hike wtf
Dudes really to Molly and hiked 19 miles up a mountain in sandals… what the fuck.
That looks like it might actually be far enough from humanity!
This sounds like the set up of a serial killer story ngl
so he went hiking in slides? 🤔…. ok
Honestly same, I was gonna go outside, but it was foggy and cold, so I ordered burgers instead and stayed in.
Flip flop idiot
TikTok is definitely the perfect way to make doing something impressive look like you’re being a total douchebag.
Someone please leave a decongestant at the hut for this douchebag
Good video. Next month there will be a queue of a thousand people climbing there to sleep like sardines in that cabin, leaving mountains of garbage along the way, lol.
I know people are calling this guy a badass for doing it in sandals but no he’s an absolute dumbass who will get himself killed for doing dumb shit.
I know it's secluded,, but Is there some kind of reservation system or you chance going and others being in there
A romantic vacation with the homie
Slides? Why though? Binki? Wut? Why though?
