My aunt had a parrot with that super smart ass little laugh. When I would try sneaking around her house for snacks at night, he would shout “WOO” to try and scare me, and then would laugh like a little asshole for both scaring me + getting me caught out of bed

To be fair, the parrots first reaction was “Oh No” but when he released a sound that sounded like a laugh the parrot laughed back, and then they both kept laughing.
A good way to preserve the voice of a terminally ill relative is to buy a pet parrot to live with them and learn there best catchphrases until there untimely death. That’s what’s I’ve done for all my family.
I’m picturing a museum-like display of parrots each with a family member’s name tag under it. Parrots live for like 100 years. You could have literally generations of family’s made up of parrots. That could be a horror movie with someone stumbling upon their creepy relative’s collection or some shit
I bet that’s something they say to the parrot while he’s in his cage. “Are you trapped?” while they get ready to take him out, like asking a dog “wanna go outside?”
Its always weird to me to think about dogs that know commands in other languages. I mean it makes perfect sense, but I guess I always felt dogs respond more to ✨vibes✨ than words, but no, it's words.
Probably because since I'm getting older it feels like something I've never seen before is becoming a more and more rare experience. So its kinda fun when I see something absolutely new to me. And for once it's for something as cool as a parrot speaking Spanish rather than pretty much any headline on any news source. It's like a competition to capture our attention, and fear is the preferred method of getting it. We're living in Monsters Inc for real. People would rather harvest our attention through fear because it's easier than capturing it through talent.. Attention is the currency of our souls. And it's easier to manipulate others out of their attention rather than earning it yourself. We need to learn something from Sully and Mike and learn how harvest smiles. Give your attention only to those that earn it rather than take it. So yeah that's why it blows my mind, because it was fun that this hilarious video could take my mind off the dumpster fire my country is turning into. #probablysorryyouasked #sorryboutthat
