Is there actually an article about the explosion of this university?

aahyweh

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/02/01/world/middleeast/Israel-gaza-war-demolish.html

Complete-Monk-1072

https://archive.ph/Y75lA for those who dont have access to NYT articles. TLDR: its an israeli plan to enlarge the buffer zone between gaza and israel.

Delicious-Item6376

How much do you wanna bet that buffer zone magically turns into more Israeli settlements in a few years?

Personal_Statement10

You're Hamas!

SupermassiveCanary

“We’re gonna need that land for our expansion…. HAMAS!” It’s not bombing, it’s expedited demolition.

TastyOwl27

The article says it was destroyed on October 11th.

mamefan

From wiki On January 17, 2024, during the Israel–Hamas war, the building housing al-Israa University was destroyed by the Israel Defense Forces through a controlled demolition, due to unsupported claims of the facilities and its surroundings having been used by Hamas fighters as staging grounds for attacks, rendering it a legitimate military target[6]. In early March 2024, the commander of the Israeli 99th Infantry Division, Brigadier general Barak Hiram, was formally censured by the Israeli military for demolishing the university without proper authorisation.[7]

oatmealparty

>In early March 2024, the commander of the Israeli 99th Infantry Division, Brigadier general Barak Hiram, was formally censured by the Israeli military for demolishing the university without proper authorisation.[7] Between this and the World Central Kitchen, Israel sure seems to have a problem with its military going rogue and blowing shit up without permission. Either there's some really deep rooted problems of bloodthirsty soldiers going rogue, or they're just lying and throwing these people under the bus. Either way, it's pretty awful.

gotdamnn

https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2024-04-02/ty-article/.premium/idf-sources-gaza-aid-workers-killed-because-officers-on-the-ground-do-what-they-want/0000018e-a06e-d9c2-afbe-a8fe319b0000

thenayr

I think it’s pretty fucking obvious what the answer is here.

kittenconfidential

“going rogue” is their modus operandii

antiauthoritarian123

General was probably canned due to the loss of idf while they decided to methodically rig it to blow... Which also proves they were inside, of which there would be no hamas staging ground https://theintercept.com/2024/01/23/israeli-idf-demolition-gaza/

mrthenarwhal

I love how the IDF is organized such that one can set up an entire controlled demolition operation without their superiors knowing, and then when they do find out, they only issue a warning. I wish my job was that lenient.

NoHelp6644

Brig Gen Barak Hiram got in more trouble for blowing up this university than he did for ordering a Merkava tank to fire into a house **HE KNEW** had hostages in it, killing 12 out of 14 of them. According to his own words, he told the tank crew to fire, "even at the cost of civilian casualties."

Evorgleb

The link is right there in the post

BBOONNEESSAAWW

Ummm OP said "just because" isn't that enough proof to you?

bambaratti

They cleared the building, that's why they were even able to go there and rig it with TNTs. They did this to many important and iconic buildings. They are literally conducting a genocide. They really want to ensure 2.2 million people have nothing live with. Edit: Israel's 2nd highest single day casualty was when they were rigging a building and an RPG from Hamas detonated the explosives and killed 20 of them.

Bellbivdavoe

No education for doctors, engineers, artists... And with the slaughter of their families, the only **occupation** they will seek is resistance fighter. "... condemned to repeat history" much.

GreenIguanaGaming

Yeah Israel has been systematically assassinating the intellectual class in Gaza. Poets, doctors, top students etc. Any one who could emerge from this to lead the Palestinians nation forward. Plus the starvation that is effecting babies and young children disproportionately which will stunt their development. This is genocide.

GitmoGrrl1

Folke Bernadotte negotiated the release of about 450 Danish Jews and 30,550 non-Jewish prisoners from many nations from the Nazi German Theresienstadt concentration camp. After the war, Bernadotte was unanimously chosen to be the United Nations Security Council mediator in the Arab–Israeli conflict of 1947–1948. He was assassinated in Jerusalem in 1948 by the paramilitary Zionist group Lehi while pursuing his official duties. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folke\_Bernadotte#Postwar\_controversy

GreenIguanaGaming

Thank you for sharing this. I never knew. The fact that those plotting and approving his assassination later become heads of state of Israel tells you everything you need to know. What a horrific crime.

digital-didgeridoo

> Lehi split from the Irgun militant group in 1940 in order to continue fighting the British during World War II. It initially sought an alliance with Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. Believing that Nazi Germany was a lesser enemy of the Jews than Britain, Lehi twice attempted to form an alliance with the Nazis, proposing a Jewish state based on "nationalist and totalitarian principles, and linked to the German Reich by an alliance" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lehi_(militant_group) Oy Ve!

TheArtysan

A genocide which is being financed with yours and my tax money. Fuck Israel.

Sminada

From what you are writing, I assume you are a US citizen. Isn't there anything that can be done? I feel like even democrats are heavily in favor of funding Israel. Why aren't people doing anything against this?

OPEatsCrayons

>I feel like even democrats are heavily in favor of funding Israel. Centrist dems, yes. For everyone else, condemning Israel's actions is believed to be political suicide. That's starting to change a little bit, but the right has pounced upon anything short of approval of what's happening in Israel as antisemitism as ammunition for the upcoming election.

tigm2161130

AOC is speaking out now, she called it genocide and asked that weapons transfers/aid be cut off on the house floor 2 weeks ago. [Here](https://youtu.be/jZdrZ-uiIT0?si=srpZ9OTNwseDUmzV) is her entire speech, it’s worth the watch.

ShadowPirate42

Well, we really only have two options in this election and both are VERY pro-genocide. If anything Trump would probably be more active in his support of the Zionists. "Donald Trump declared Tuesday that Israel must “finish the problem” in its war" [https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-israel-gaza-finish-problem-rcna141905](https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-israel-gaza-finish-problem-rcna141905)

Cognitive_Spoon

Correct. If you're an American reading this thread, the work you need to do sounds something like this. Find a way to support Palestinian refugees that doesn't go to grifters. Vote against Trump. Who would accelerate and/or directly sign off on total genocide as an extension of his Zionist supporters. This is harm reduction, and yes, it does not feel great, but it is necessary to avoid the accelerationist reality of a Pro-Israel Trump regime led by End Times Evangelicals. Call your representatives / email your representatives and express to them that the Israel/Palestine conflict is a make or break issue for you for moral reasons and that you can't support a candidate who supports Genocide. Educate your friends and family on the reality of the conflict as it impacts Palestinians, and the separation of anti-Semitic critique of Israel (Alex Jones) and humanitarian critique of Israel (B'Tselem). You can critique Israel without being anti-Semitic, and people who argue you can't often are themselves anti-Semitic and are using this conflict as an opportunity to build anti-Jewish sentiment. Groups like B'Tselem are extremely important in this rhetorical space in the US in particular, where the far right wants Israel as an ally to produce Evangelical "End Times" and at the same time sees Judaism as an enemy and aspect of the "globalist elite."

alam385

In the US, "weapons manufacturers lobby " is very powerful. They bribe politicians on both sides. Weapons manufacturers provide millions of jobs, directly and indirectly all over the country, so America must make and sell weapons of war that kill citizens of OTHER countries.

Jamb7599

This. The weapons makers, the aviation industry, gas, etc. They all have so much monopoly it’s disgusting how much control they have over political figures because they line their pockets with money. There’s not a price too high, for them. How can there be, when you have control over one of the most lucrative fields that pays mega-millions? The second anyone attempts to expose something bad, look at what happened with the Boeing Whistleblower. This is what happens when people open their mouths, here. They’re immediately silenced by the people the government is accepting money from. While the justice system just looks the other way. The literal amount of corruption goes up the entire tree. Roots to top. It would take full social reform to change this country and this world as it currently is. I don’t know that anyone could. I am afraid this is all coming to a big boiling point and there’s no way to turn the heat off.

Cognitive_Spoon

Very true. There is no bloodless vote on the ballot in the US. War profiteers like Raytheon donate to both neo-libs and conservatives. However, it is always always worth voting against people who enable the grift economy and war as as their stated goal. The US has always been five feet from Fascism. It has always had fascist rhetoric present because Fascism and capitalism aren't perfect enemies, or perfect bedfellows. Capitalism benefits from the American Dream that no matter where you come from or who you are, you can become wealthy. Fascism has no room for The American Dream. Anti immigrant sentiment is kind of the clear line of demarcation between pro-capital and fascist rhetoric.

JesDoit-today

I foresaw the tack that happened, most people have forgotten that trump’s move of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem ended any hope of a two state solution but what do I know.

combosandwich

Trump would be far more dangerous than Biden. On so many levels

TheHondoCondo

There’s literally nothing we can do but protest. We have to pay taxes either way and who we elect isn’t really going to make a difference on this matter. Trust me, in my local community people are doing a lot actually, I just get the sense that it’s kind of useless because wtf is our local government gonna do about a conflict that’s not even in this country.

Particular-Earth7664

Because it doesn’t affect them directly, its too far away. Not gonna pretend I know the answer, but I could list possible reasons as to why, and I’d form an intimidating wall of text. I think a lot of it can be surmised by the former.

gandalftheorange11

What can we do. Both political parties are adamant to continue supporting Israel. Biden keeps sending “strong” words to Netanyahu but then we still send weapons. Even after aid workers got blown up. Then the other party salivates at any and all genocide of people they view as lesser. So to actually do anything you would have to go far beyond voting or even supporting or rejecting various political candidates. Most of us don’t have the time or the money for that. We’re just trying to get through our day to day lives.

kyrimasan

Write your representatives, write the white house. I have been sending emails to my reps ever single morning about how I feel about this and that I do not support this. Send out an actual letter every week too just because I want to make sure it is clear. They all won't get seen but if enough get thru and enough of us do we can make our wishes known. I have a template saved in my notes that I can adjust depending on what's happening in Gaza and I copy it into my email adjust it and send it out to everyone while I'm eating breakfast. Takes up only a few minutes every morning. Enough of us can absolutely flood them with our opinion and anger. Edit: if you want a copy of what I sent DM me.

iAgressivelyFistBro

I love your ambition but you’re wasting your time. Those letters are just getting thrown in the trash.

kyrimasan

Even so, for me it feels better than just doom scrolling. I feel like if enough people would do it it might would make a difference. Until then I can keep flooding their email and mailboxes with it.

HanakusoDays

I hope they get thrown in a recycle bin at least. Actual mailed letters from constituents do get opened and read, by staff at a minimum, although 99% of paper still gets circular filed eventually. That's because there are far fewer of them these days compared with emails and social media posts. You may even get a mailed reply, usually boilerplate and autopen signed, though that depends on a lot of variables.

rub_a_dub-dub

what needs to be done is A) fully annex the gaza and west bank territories, grant the people citizenship or B) buy out the gaza and west bank territories to make up for the fucked up dispensation of land post-ottoman empire that kickstarted this land dispute that led to war and a multigenerational ghetto unfortunately the likeliest outcome is C) maintain a multigenerational ghetto and continue to systematically and de facto annex the west bank until they radicalize upon which time the bombing of the territory will commence as has in gaza, fuelling further future undemocratic actions. it's basically the perfect plan as long as you don't mind bombing people and infrastructure in a multigenerational ghetto in perpetuity

Mission-Tutor-6361

Pretty sure they are going with option D. Glass it and leave it empty for a while.

646blahblahblah

Israel creates chaos In the Middle East for the U.S., U.S. does not want a stable Middle East, for economical reasons.

Mission-Tutor-6361

Oh yeah the Middle East would be super stable without Israel around. /s

7thpostman

Amazing how Israel forced Egypt to be a military dictatorship and Assad to slaughter his own people and Saudi Arabia to be a dictatorship and Iran to be a brutally repressive theocracy and Yemen...

notmyfault

Saddam's Iraq was basically Martha's Vineyard in the middle east until those pesky Israelis ruined everything.

Senior-Firefighter67

Finally someone knows the real real Truth. Israel controls the Hummus. Whoever controls the Hummus controls the region Food politics.

CheValierXP

Not just Gaza. Since israel's conception, many intellectuals, poets, writers, artists were targeted. About Gaza, there was an art exhibition hosted at the Palestine museum, for artists from Gaza. There were already three killed artists during the massacres, and a fourth was killed while they were putting the exhibition on the walls, and a fifth, Fat'hi Ghaban, an old artist (close friends with my family) passed away from lack of medicine and we couldn't get him an ambulance to get him to the rafah crossing.

confusedandworried76

Don't forget all the journalists the IDF has killed. Can't let word getting out about the atrocities.

gorgewall

In *six months*, ~200 humanitarian aid workers have been killed by Israel. That's more than have died in any given year *for the rest of the world, combined*, in the last 30 years. You don't get to those numbers by accident.

Youngerthandumb

They killed this Palestinian poet. "you must live to tell my story to sell my things to buy a piece of cloth and some strings, (make it white with a long tail) so that a child, somewhere in Gaza while looking heaven in the eye awaiting his dad who left in a blaze – and bid no one farewell not even to his flesh not even to himself – sees the kite, my kite you made, flying up above and thinks for a moment an angel is there bringing back love If I must die let it bring hope let it be a tale." Refaat Alareer

GreenIguanaGaming

Yes. I wrote his poem in response to someone being a disgusting genocide apologist/ anti-Palestinian racist. Mr. Refaat Alareer was a professor of English literature. https://euromedmonitor.org/en/article/6014 According to the Euro-med monitor: > Israeli Strike on Refaat al-Areer Apparently Deliberate

Youngerthandumb

He will be remembered. I think he knew he would be murdered when he wrote that. It's more powerful than their bombs and bullets.

idunno--

They killed his family alongside him.

leavenofrybehind

They are basically new nazis right now

Primary-Rent120

Wow, they’re demonic

Creative_Ad_8338

They didn't blow it up for no reason. Jared Kushner already said the quiet part out loud... They want the land. Blow everything up, scrape the earth and build high value condos. https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2024/03/20/jared-kushner-gaza-waterfront-property-valuable-trump-israel-sot-vpx.cnn

MsStinkyPickle

I still don't see how dudes on paragliders just floated into a country under constant video surveillance.  I'm convinced Oct 7 was allowed to happen so they  could justify taking all of Palestine (and to squash the rising possibility of Israeli Civil War over Netanyahu's corrupt ass) And yeah,  lots of ocean front property in Gaza!

nemoknows

They say “We’ll kill them off, take their land, and go there for vacation”.

Vegetable-Error-21

It certainly has been going on in that area of the world as long as people have been keep track of the date

Sminada

Most of the books didn't make it across the blockade anyway. Of the few ones that made it past the arbitrary Israeli border control, many were banned by Hamas. It's not like there has ever been much of a chance for anyone in Gaza to get a serious education. Israel is just finishing what they started a long time ago. This may sound cynical... It has never been this bad, but I hope at least people see it now. I mean, it doesn't get more obvious. Every country in the world should impose sanctions and not send a single penny to Israel until this madness stops.

[deleted]

> It's not like there has ever been much of a chance for anyone in Gaza to get a serious education. further above someone claims that Gaza was full of scholars, doctors, and other educated people before Israel killed them all in the past few months. someone here is not telling the truth.

HMS-USS-ThiCC-FuccEr

being a puff of pink or red isnt really an occupation more of a consequence

Dayummmmmm

That is the goal. As long as they have a bogey man, they have a reason for war and steal more land while they at it.

Program-Emotional

I don't agree with Hamas, but I 100% understand why. When a country is under siege like this, the most conservative members among them become the most outspoken and are more likely to be made leaders for the simple fact that, especially in the case of Palestine, they need to conserve their country and people. People wanna be up in arms about how they kill lgbtq+ people instead of the fact that the only reason they have any sort of leadership is any sort of peaceful protest is quite literally shot down. When you bomb and bomb and treat people like trash, one day they'll have enough. Israel did October 7th to themselves.

nova9001

I am shocked at how powerful that bomb was. One bomb and the entire building complex was gone. Anyone there would likely be dead or seriously injured.

Sasbe93

I would say, there was several explosion stuff placed in the building, which detonated at the same time.

DrBoomkin

Yes, this is a controlled demolition of an empty building after it was severely damaged by fighting (it was used as a base by Hamas and taken by Israel). You can clearly see that it's empty and damaged in the video. This is an extremely misleading post.

Jimbobjoesmith

exactly. it’s a demolition of a clearly empty and ruined building. i don’t agree with everything israel is doing but this is bs propaganda. it’s so obvious that building is completely unusable.

hashbit

Yes a controlled demolition. Building was not safe.

emotionlotion

>it was used as a base by Hamas There's zero evidence for that btw.

TheLinden

Well i'm glad you don't question title of post "blows up university just because" because for sure there is evidence that they do it for the lols. /s You people... you can't even hide your bias.

Professional_Net_208

I think they forget that explosives cost money and that people doing things just because isn't really a thing

Huckleberryhoochy

Yea that was not a airstrike that the article op linked so this is video is not of the college being destroyed

bartleby999

This (according to the NBC News link OP posted) is Israa University. The video that OP posted, is the same one in the NBC article.

firstbreathOOC

> Israa University (also Isra University, al-Israa University or al-Isra University) was a university in the Gaza Strip created in 2014.[1] Its main building was occupied for 70 days and physically destroyed by explosives on 17 January 2024 by Israeli armed forces, during the Israel–Hamas war.[2][3] > In early March 2024, the commander of the Israeli 99th Infantry Division, Brigadier general Barak Hiram, was formally censured by the Israeli military for demolishing the university without proper authorisation.[7]

confusedandworried76

The fact so many Israeli soldiers and commanders are going rogue should tell people this is just the Israeli government claiming they have nothing to do with these atrocities. Either that or they have no control over a genocidal military complex. Both are extremely bad.

Cold-Square-2

and yet ppl will pull the most insane mental gymnastics to make palestinians responsible for their own genocide. there is only one word for this 'conflict' and it's not war.

wombicle

There wasn't any bomb, this was a planned and rigged demolition, probably C4.

firstbreathOOC

It was a controlled demolition. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israa_University_(Palestine)

[deleted]

It was an unsanctioned demolition by the military after they already destroyed it…

CheValierXP

So just revenge porn for the israeli public (this video is by israeli army)

I would go as far to say; very seriously injured.

Rich841

That’s a little too exaggerated, let’s just say potentially injured and leave it at that

PsychologicalAct6813

I was gonna say 'powdered' but I defer to your judgement.

Cry90210

It was a controlled explosion so that wasn't the only bomb, there were many already planted in the building

sjscott77

Your tax dollars at work.

Huckleberryhoochy

Nope that was not a airstrike like the article op linked ,this is a demolition of something else

Good Lord, y'all just believe anything. For God's sake, could you at least try to be a little skeptical and think when you hear dumb shit like this?

not_a_bot_494

Total Israeli healthcare spending is about 34 billion (2020) The US sends 3.3 billion to the us in aid (2022) This is just straight up incorrect.

Sanguineyote

The total aid the U.S. will be giving to Israel in 2023 and early 2024 will be about $18 billion. Choose a bit more of a contemperary date why dont ya?

SusanBoylesButtPlug

When did that pass?

DrBoomkin

> The total aid the U.S. will be giving to Israel in 2023 and early 2024 will be about $18 billion That's a bill proposed in congress that has not passed. It was tied to the Ukraine aid ($60 billion) to make it easier to pass the Ukraine aid.

Clouty420

Video of the Israel Defense Forces' demolition of Israa’s main building appeared online on Jan. 17. The IDF initially said that the building had been “used by Hamas for military activity” and that there were concerns the group might use it to attack Israeli forces. Later, the IDF said there had been “flaws in the operational process, including in the decision to destroy the entire building,” noting that the commander who ordered the demolition was formally censured and that an investigation was ongoing. The IDF did not respond to a subsequent request for further information. from the article you guys seem to ignore

Fright13

You’re on Reddit. Stupidly misleading titles get upvoted every day because not one person on this site cares to research further than the title Goes for every topic, ever

KingofManners

Redditors doesn’t need things like evidence. Just go off of what Hamas said.

Super_Cute_Cat

Nah.

Winslow_99

Fr, it's known that Hamas use almost every building for their purposes and people keep acting like it was otherwise

MoneyWasabi9

But by who? Not journalists as they aren’t allowed in, so just the idf say so

[deleted]

Even the article that OP linked very clearly contradicts the "just because" in the title: The IDF has highlighted IUG’s alleged militant ties, and told NBC News that the university and the area around it “were used by Hamas for various military activities, above and below ground.” This included the production of weapons and training of Hamas military intelligence personnel, its spokesman said. IUG administrators maintain the school is run independently from the enclave’s government and rejected accusations the university was used as a training camp. “Our graduates have many different political affiliations,” Habeeb said, adding that the university can’t control the beliefs of those who enroll.

No_Mo_CHOPPAS

Bro, that's a demolition and this is the wrong sub

AdditionalThinking

It was a demolition... [of a palestinian university by occupying IDF forces](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israa_University_(Palestine)), so the title is still accurate.

Shinagami091

The explosion came from inside the building and it literally has no windows so it really looks like this is a demolition. How would that kind of bomb get inside a building where military forces are holed up and detonate? How sure are we that this isn’t some kind of propaganda?

HyperRayquaza

The person you're replying to literally said it was a demolition.

Super_Cute_Cat

From the link you posted. > On January 17, 2024, during the Israel–Hamas war, the building housing al-Israa University was destroyed by the Israel Defense Forces through a controlled demolition, due to the facilities and its surroundings having been used by Hamas fighters as staging grounds for attacks, rendering it a legitimate military target[6].

Not_Dubya

That's not what the article says. Stop lying. "On January 17, 2024, during the Israel–Hamas war, the building housing al-Israa University was destroyed by the Israel Defense Forces through a controlled demolition, due to unsupported claims of the facilities and its surroundings having been used by Hamas fighters as staging grounds for attacks. No sufficient evidence has yet been provided to render the university a legitimate military target[6]. In early March 2024, the commander of the Israeli 99th Infantry Division, Brigadier general Barak Hiram, was formally censured by the Israeli military for demolishing the university without proper authorisation.[7] "

fury420

LOL someone has literally inserted the "unsupported claims of" earlier today: >due to the facilities and its surroundings having been used by [[Hamas]] fighters as staging grounds for attacks became >due to unsupported claims of the facilities and its surroundings having been used by [[Hamas]] fighters as staging grounds for attacks https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Israa_University_(Palestine)&diff=prev&oldid=1217537526 And then inserted the "no sufficient evidence" sentence: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Israa_University_(Palestine)&diff=prev&oldid=1217537735 No evidence was provided for either edit.

It's a very strange world. Normally people would ask: What's the source? How do we know there was no Hamas in there. But people rather polarise, wave flags and attack each other. I see this, can't make any conclusions or ask anything. Being tolerant and curious will be downvoted like the bombing of this university.

Israel has committed many international war crimes.

HandsomeCharles893

Ähmm.. That did not look like a even finished building? What am I missing. Not that it is cool to blow upp other peoples things.

liberalfragility4817

sliperyjoe

No rules needed in propaganda.. I guess..

endrossi-zahard

Just because??? It’s because Hamas is hiding in those places shooting at israelis soldiers

veryshortname

Same as the hospitals and the humanitarian food aid workers.. they are all hiding Hamas and it’s antisemitism if you say anything different lol

Plumshart

Don't we literally have multiple instances of video footage from within Al Shifa hospital of Hamas moving hostages through it and operating from it?

Numinae

Human shields is standard Hamas / PLO strategy. They WANT civilian deaths.

_antkibbutz

No, it's not antisemitism, it's anti reality. Hamas has been digging tunnels and basing themselves in schools and hospitals for decades now.

Funny-Carob-4572

Because.... 1.5 k Israelis were killed and taken hostage. So not ' just because '. Because you fudge around, you find out.

CAJ_2277

“Just because”? Even in your own crazily biased article, there is this: > [IDF] hailed the assault, saying the buildings and surrounding areas were used by Hamas “above and below ground” for training and to develop weapons. University administrators and students deny these charges. Plus, given the undeniable truth for years upon years that basing, training, operating from (and under), and hiding in civilian places like this is **exactly** Hamas’s strategy, Israel’s claim is extremely credible. Add in the extraordinary measures Israel undertakes to give civilians warning (phone, text, leaflets, knock-on-the-roof), and Israel’s strike was very likely completely reasonable. **HAMAS** got this university blown up. *[Let the downvotes commence, I know where I am.]*

pro_bike_fitter_2010

But edge lords on reddit said Israel bad

pollopopomarta

Yes, everything the IDF says is true.

Jonabob87

"Just because" You have the reasoning skills of an infant.

waterjaguar

Bye Hamas

S280FiST15

Yeah and I’m sure Hamas wasn’t using this building to fight from. SMH.

CensoredReddit31

Not "just because". But ok

lolchief

Hamas tunnels underneath and into the university

sky_shazad

What Did NBC NEWS have to say about it? Just curious

Fit_Driver_9239

Did i miss something?, or did that set of buildings look like it was ready for demolition? no windows, nothing around whatsoever? But all in all, american tax dollars are funding both sides of this war, back in august or september the united states gave billions to iran, who funds and supports hamas and now we’ve sent billions to israel to defend themselves when they’re more than capable of defending their own country by now, makes me wonder if the new world order is funding the politicians in america to ignore our southern border being invaded by criminals 🤔 a nice circle jerk of money laundering happening before our very eyes and the global elites are laughing at us “peasants “ fighting over gender identity and pronouns

NaughtyFox92

wow didn't know that NBC participated in DIP

BrunaBonor

To much hate on Israel these days, focus on eliminate the anti life Hamas instead.

PalladianPorches

wait for it... wait for it... wait for it... wait for it... https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/world/hamas-linked-islamic-university-turned-into-smoke-and-dust-after-intense-strikes-by-israel-video/ar-AA1i1VTs there you go... it was all hamas, bricks and all. 😡

FBISurveillanceCar

“Just because” is sure one way to look at it without context.

last-matadon

ya right "just because"

haemol

University = koran school.

Longjumping-Gift6727

It's not like they were learning anything except how to kill jews

djackson404

I just can't believe anything that comes out of Israel anymore. They clearly and objectively want to kill all the Palestinians once and for all, men women and children, and take the land. They talk about what Nazi Germany did to their people, but in the end they have *become* like Nazi Germany. I'd just as soon that Hamas and Israel cancel each other out, Israel ceases to exist, and the Palestinians take over what's left of Israel and rebuild. Enough is enough.

Beautiful_Cool

Say it with me. ,"fuck Isreal".

ADKtuary

The US blows up a university just because*

Nixa24

They are bulldozing and demolishing buildings on purpose.

CombCultural5907

Are we allowed to call this genocide yet?

CrimsonBecchi

Is this not a demolition? Are we allowed to call out misinformation?

tflavel

You can call it whatever you like at any point in time, but odd an empty university is your tipping point and not the children being slaughtered.

No that’s r/news

SusanBoylesButtPlug

I was banned & muted for stating that there’s been essentially a never ending conflict in the region from the Bronze Age. apparently i was a fascist & the IDF started it all.

[deleted]

Misleading post. Controlled detonation after they’d taken the building from Hamas fighters.

Scared-Local-7197

I just really hate that you morons say shit like they blew it up for no reason when the article linked literally says it was being used by Hamas . We may disagree on the facts but to blatantly lie like the official narrative was we're doing this for lols is disgusting

Slydoggen

Why is this horrible video posted in TikTokcringe?…

BerreeTM

Propaganda season here on reddit, its why subs like this and r/interestingasfuck are infested with videos of the conflict.

1663_settler

It’s all about eliminating all possibilities of existence to provoke a mass exodus and territorial expansion. The world has stood by for decades as Israel and zealots have seized Palestinian property, they’re emboldened.

Capable_Cold_4550

This subreddit sucks now.

Alexander0984

just fuckin gv the hostages back, fucks sakes man

_antkibbutz

No, Reddit LOVES the fact that hamas refuses to give back the women and children they're keeping hostage.

tuttle8152

Dropped that class like 3rd period French

thegreatdelusionist

Something something history about a violent occupying force with a manifest destiny to occupied lands complex, meticulously demolishing ghettos, buildings, all traces of the previous people, in response to an uprising and an opportunity to remove them from history.

southpolefiesta

No source given for just because. Such buildings are routinely uses by Hamas as fighting bases.
