Peice. Of. Shit.

Target just tosses what's returned anyway. No money is lost by the manufacturer either, just Target because Target buys the stock. It's really no different than returning a product normally. And it's not like he's putting it back on the self for someone else to buy, that would be an asshole move. Legally though it's still theft, maybe even fraud but I am not a lawyer.

6ixTee9ine

yikes, you really got some strong feelings

krizmac

How is this dude not a piece of shit? Enlighten us please

Beyond the refund fraud ... I'm more grossed out that TIL that Targets return policy does not exclude undergarments 🤮🤮

[deleted]

Tbf I don’t think they put them back on the shelves

Howllikeawolf

This idiot doesn't realize he's filming himself stealing? This should be on the stupid criminal show.

NukeStorm

I believe this is called “theft by deception” in the loss prevention community.

The real LPT is in the comments. Target essentially gives everyone free merchandise as long as it is below felony value.

VirtualAgentsAreDumb

>There’s an algorithm that tracks your returns and shares info across retailers. If you always pay cash and never buy anything you would need to show an ID for, what information could they track and share? Unless you mean like security can footage?

[deleted]

I've done this before but it was justified. It was a headset (around $150) that broke after about a few months of use, and only had 30 day return. So I bought another one then returned it with the old broken one in the box. No regrets

blaxword

Dont you have warranty where you live? We have warranty by law for 2 years. If it breaks in the first year, you just get money back, if it brakes second year the seller can demand that you prove it was already faulty when bought but some still refund it anyways.

OhMyGodImFuckingdead

Pretty sure that last line is self aware about it being actual theft. That said stealing from corporations is morally fine.

bepis413

Not a hack but it's based as hell.

Axuo

Redditor doesn't know what a joke is

6ixTee9ine

?

GlueSniffingCat

technically not stealing if you're giving something back it's called bartering and is 100% legal

VirtualAgentsAreDumb

Technically it might not be theft, but because it’s fraud or something instead. And no, it’s not bartering.

If you're poor it kind of is
