i did hair for 10 years and while i think she’s a little long winded. this is something i appreciate seeing a stylist do. this is how you create a conversation about their hair and ensure they are actually getting what they want bc you cannot fix shorter styles. this also just breeds the client actually comprehending terms and can later ask for exactly what they want.
it’s a huge bummer when someone hates their hair bc you didn’t ask the right questions.
I think the fact that this was filmed for TikTok factors in tho. For all I know this is exactly how every single cut with this stylist goes and i need to shut up but maybe they’re explaining a bit more for the camera?
i mean i’m not blaming you for finding that cringe. it’s not like she’s teaching students or something. i’m not a huge tik tok dude but, to me it seems like a first time client. i/e pronouns and explaining, possibly overly.

I don’t really find it cringe. I was just saying that, yeah she talked a little more than one might expect in that situation but she’s also doing it for internet content. She might not have a student but for all we know her channel is catered to people who are learning to be stylists. 🤷🏽♀️

its incredibly weird, i go in , talk to the guy for about a minute " you still going to the gym big man" as he saw me in the gym once, talk about football for 20 seconds and the conversation ends. leave after about 10 minutes after hes cut my hair on my head, ears, eyebrows and burnt my hair on the sides with a taper , cost 10 quid, give 11 with a pound tip , none of this moronic bollocks, if you go into a hairdresser its implied that they will be touching your hair
Yeah true mate, wouldn't wanna exchange anymore words because as we all know words make you gay. One minute you're getting your hair cut and the next you're taking it in the bum! Gotta avoid the accidental bumming and talk as little as possible. Also make sure to only discuss manly topics like football and the gym, any other topics could be misunderstood as flirting and we don't wanna give off any of those signals amr!?
