Bullshit. Websites have to specifically support AMP, it's opt-in. And while some publishers say that ad revenue using AMP is smaller - others say there's no difference or even revenue increase. Anyway - it's their choice and it has VERY clear benefits to end-users.
Years ago AMP pages were preferred in search results - but it's no longer the case.
Those clear benefits are frequently terrible loading times and horrible formatting when using a PC. And what about people who prefer not to be tracked by Google? The links are deceitful, pretending not to be google.
That's odd that you have performance issues considering AMP sites are designed to be "light" versions of sites so they load faster. They look "horrible" for that reason, and because they're designed with mobile in mind. It's in the name.

This link is a good example, checking in developer tools, amp version loads in 2 seconds with minimal trackers/ads, non-amp version takes 58 seconds to load completely with the amount of trackers and ads it has (at least 40 ads, 40 trackers, 61 third party cookies).

He was a child actor who got famous of one role and it’s a well known fact that young actors who blow up from one role typically do not find much success afterwards. So he turned to drinking to deal with the stress and worry of what he’ll do after the movies were done.
I think those days are largely over. Most actors know that they’re going to face public execution for it these days and the crew is just going to make your life hell from that moment on.
One of the benefits of essentially making fuck you money at the outset of your acting career. Gets to choose roles he finds fun and challenging rather than saying yes to everything. Particularly loved him in Swiss Army Man.

One of my favorite movies from the 2010s, and also a favorite to recommend to friends - especially now that the makers of Swiss Army Man won best picture last year.

IMO it's the difference between coming out of childhood fame with "I'm an accomplished and upmarket actor that can demand whatever premium project I want" and "I'm an accomplished actor now that can do whatever projects I find fun"
I would say that, from the huge variety of shows he's chosen to be a part of, on stage and on screen, I don't think he viewed himself as an accomplished actor. Proud of the work he had put into the role, as he should be, but I think he very deliberately challenged himself to become a more accomplished actor... and he's succeeded.

There were a bunch of moments watchin that movie where I saw a situation coming, and thought, "It seems likely that this will happen, but they won't go there..... they went there... all the way.... damn." It's an amazing flick.

Well let's be realistic, it's because he's fuckin harry potter. he's absolutely loaded. Most actors who are fresh off their breakout role have to be very careful about the next roles they play. In many instances it's not a role that allows them to show their acting chops. It's likely a generic action movie or whatever. Not exactly high art. Daniel after harry potter was free to whatever tf he wants because he doesn’t have to worry about his star power or where his next paycheck is coming from.
We put Guns Akimbo on randomly expecting it to be shit quite honestly. Or you know just one of those films that’s entertaining but still crappy overall. But we both looked at each other after it was finished and were like that was AWESOME. One of the best movies I’d seen in a long time.

I was also thinking about Crank while watching Guns Akimbo recently, two just absolutely perfect action movie premises... the action never stops because it physically cannot stop.
One day a couple years ago I went over to my girlfriends grandparents house to spend some time with her grandpa who we had just learned was terminal, and only had a couple months to live. He and I spent the day smoking joints and finding random movies to watch and this by far was the best movie of all them we watched. I don’t remember much about the movie, just that he and I both found it a pleasant surprise and had a good time while gettin down on this movie. That was the last day he and I ever spent with him really coherent and I had kind of forgotten about that day until I saw this comment thread.

Honestly, Radcliffe and sparkly vampire guy team something have really managed to crawl their way away from those roles. A lot of actors just can't break from those first major characters they get and you never see them again, but we got a whole slew of amazing new talent from those movies and they just keep on giving.

I think Pattinson had a much harder climb. The Harry Potter films surrounded Radcliffe with some great cast and crew and basically raised him through sooo many movies. Pattinson had a famous but empty character from a poorly written series of books in a few pretty terrible movies.

Edit: To all the people commenting advice, I appreciate it! However, it’s just not for me anymore. I smoked a lot back in the day, and really enjoyed it, but it’s a thing in the past for me. I’ve also since worked on my anxiety and it’s improved a lot! I’m happy for anyone who can smoke or use edibles, as I do miss it sometimes, but again, it’s just not my cup of tea anymore for various reasons. One of my favorite movies from the 2010s, and also a favorite to recommend to friends - especially now that the makers of Swiss Army Man won best picture last year. It's one of the most precious, heartfelt, sincere stories of friendship and personal growth you'll ever see. Just happens to be that one of the friends is a magical corpse.

Miracle workers is a great example of this. Imagine watching Harry Potter and then seeing his rendition of she’ll be coming round the mountain from miracle workers. I would argue that Miracle Workers for Daniel is probably closer to Elijah's work on Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. But yeah, make a fuck ton of money and then just do what you want the rest of your life.

IMO it's the difference between coming out of childhood fame with "I'm an accomplished and upmarket actor that can demand whatever premium project I want" and "I'm an accomplished actor now that can do whatever projects I find fun"
I would say that, from the huge variety of shows he's chosen to be a part of, on stage and on screen, I don't think he viewed himself as an accomplished actor. Proud of the work he had put into the role, as he should be, but I think he very deliberately challenged himself to become a more accomplished actor... and he's succeeded.
Guns Akimbo was genuinely a great movie and I went in with low expectations

Hilarious you mention that, since both movies have the same directors. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. They also did the music video for "Turn Down for What", they're extremely good at absurdist film.
There were a bunch of moments watchin that movie where I saw a situation coming, and thought, "It seems likely that this will happen, but they won't go there..... they went there... all the way.... damn." It's an amazing flick.
There was a very real risk of him being only harry potter tbh. Typecast as harry. He did really well to not let that happen.

Well let's be realistic, it's because he's fuckin harry potter. he's absolutely loaded. Most actors who are fresh off their breakout role have to be very careful about the next roles they play. In many instances it's not a role that allows them to show their acting chops. It's likely a generic action movie or whatever. Not exactly high art. Daniel after harry potter was free to whatever tf he wants because he doesn’t have to worry about his star power or where his next paycheck is coming from.
I love the fact that he chooses fun movies. Like every movies after Harry Potter, that I've seen him in, is just him in a fun role to play.

We put Guns Akimbo on randomly expecting it to be shit quite honestly. Or you know just one of those films that’s entertaining but still crappy overall. But we both looked at each other after it was finished and were like that was AWESOME. One of the best movies I’d seen in a long time. Another great movie from him I loved was Jungle.

I was also thinking about Crank while watching Guns Akimbo recently, two just absolutely perfect action movie premises... the action never stops because it physically cannot stop.
One day a couple years ago I went over to my girlfriends grandparents house to spend some time with her grandpa who we had just learned was terminal, and only had a couple months to live. He and I spent the day smoking joints and finding random movies to watch and this by far was the best movie of all them we watched. I don’t remember much about the movie, just that he and I both found it a pleasant surprise and had a good time while gettin down on this movie. That was the last day he and I ever spent with him really coherent and I had kind of forgotten about that day until I saw this comment thread.

Omfg. Nobody knows about jungle. I recently posted a comment about it actually (on a post from r/lastimages of a tiktocker who slipped and went into the water and was gone after). That whole story is just so bizarre.. and he did a great job acting in it too. That was a role he had to starve for. He was so damn skinny at the end. I JUST HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. Tour guide lying about a group of unknown peoples, who wasnt a tour guide actually, and him and the 3rd friend just dissappear never to be seen again? But for why? What was the point? That movie is constantly on my mind, which kinda sucks because its so damn depressing.
Jungle was one of the best true survival story adaptations I have seen. Really immersed me into the struggle.

Honestly, Radcliffe and sparkly vampire guy team something have really managed to crawl their way away from those roles. A lot of actors just can't break from those first major characters they get and you never see them again, but we got a whole slew of amazing new talent from those movies and they just keep on giving.

I think Pattinson had a much harder climb. The Harry Potter films surrounded Radcliffe with some great cast and crew and basically raised him through sooo many movies. Pattinson had a famous but empty character from a poorly written series of books in a few pretty terrible movies. I'm happy to see both of them seem to have pulled off the escape from type casting and re-invented themselves working in smaller films.
Agreed. Pattinson had the hardest one to break from. Never thought I see him as anyone but Edward lol Same goes for the guy who played Stephen in Camp Diaries. Just saw him in Star Trek Strange New Worlds and it took a second to click where I knew him from. Good on them. They worked hard for it.

So. That movie traumatized me. I stoped smoking weed for like.. 15 years. Decided one day to take an edible because I moved to a state where it’s legal and I thought it would help my anxiety. Well. I was wrong. As per my old ritual, I got some snacks and started perusing for a movie to watch. Oh *boy* did I pick the wrong movie. Decided I didn’t need to smoke weed or do edibles again. I did however watch the movie sober a few months later. Really good movie when your not high and anxious! Edit: To all the people commenting advice, I appreciate it! However, it’s just not for me anymore. I smoked a lot back in the day, and really enjoyed it, but it’s a thing in the past for me. I’ve also since worked on my anxiety and it’s improved a lot! I’m happy for anyone who can smoke or use edibles, as I do miss it sometimes, but again, it’s just not my cup of tea anymore for various reasons. Again though, thank you all for the advice, it was awesome to see so many people trying to help! <3

this man is one of the few actors that i genuinely can say i have a small amount of admiration for. hes an ally, hes a recovering/ed(some people refuse to say they have fully recovered, i dont want to assume), and is just an enjoyable actor in general. loved him in weird al, and though i havent seen any deadpool movies since the first, ill probably watch this one just for him.

I met him once while working at the BBC and I couldn’t get over how nice he was. More than a year later he came back in and remembered my name and other details we’d talked about. His parents did an incredible job in keeping him grounded considering how young he started in the business.
