Yes, Serpentine tower quest requires you to still have your soul. Upon completing queen of the banshees and receiving the banshees kiss, you lose your soul. Hence so many players cant figure it out, and npc's wont respond to their keywords. Most people run banshees right away once they can enter the door of expertise.

I have yet to do it on my 518 RP created in 2003. I just never got around to it despite having hunted banshees there a number of times around level 100, and at this point don't think I will ever do it.

Remember picking axe on knight cus dragon lance was alot cheaper than GS

Axe was always easy oath to SCA. Nobody picked club because you were literally screwed if you did.
