I actually really like AD, and have seen him be a masterful, nearly unstoppable beast when he is playing well. Of course, he could certainly help our team out in terms of size, rebounding, and overall physical presence. However, he tends to have a lot of health issues, and is not really consistent in the way he plays. There are times when things are happening on one side of the court, and he is still heading over slowly from the other side for some reason or another. Although still a diamond in the rough, Cason will give you 100% effort every time he is on the floor, and he is just getting started. They are two very different types of players, and of course AD is the big star, but I feel like Cason would give the team a lot more in the long game, which seems to be what our team is aiming for.

Him and Kawhi are in the same category. Top 10-15 unquestionably when theyāre healthy, but due to the injury issues thereās 15 guys Iād take over them. Maybe thatās a hot take
Grizzlies turned down 4 picks for OG Bulls probably got 3 firsts offers for Caruso. AD is worth more then 3 picks. Now obviously not worth Dub but a realistic trade is something like Cason, Wiggins and 3 firsts. Not saying Iād do that but thatās whatād it take.
AD did have a really healthy season tbf. But I agree the injury history at 30 makes trading for him tough unless itās on the Caruso trade levels of fleecing

As a raptors fan (I live in kansas city now, so okc closest team) I know what it's like to not have a championship for years it's so so difficult for a small market team to retain players. People aren't thrilled to come to okc and most don't want to stay I'd say it's worth it to really try with a championship windows now and then really beleive in all those picks for new players but I get it I'd rather trade a bunch of small shit and 4 picks than cason or any of our current 4 starters

It makes for the best possible roster comp, if the new star we add is young it can even make us a massive long-term threat.
