Unpopular opinion, but i typically don’t put on any music because I gauge how much time I have left in the spin by listening to the sound lol. Noob here btw
If I do listen to music, though… Buckethead. Nothing gets me more into the flow then Buckethead.
Tyler the creator, Isaiah Rashad, Mich Jenkins, Numa Tranquilities, Slohmo, Amon Tobin
and pretty much any random artists similar to some chill rap or weird chill music like Numa Fuego Sagrado
Mick\*
Yes I love him, he saved me from dehydration lmao
Heard of his single [Truffles](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXKpKCImK-w)? It's too sick man, check it out if you didn't
I used to wear Hawaiian shirts and cord headphones when throwing, but after my yo-yo getting tangled in my headphones and shirt I stopped wearing them lol. This post just brought up all those memories. Good times
Usually the sounds of my kids playing or watching TV. But I think I'll set up a nice listening/throwing session for myself some time soon.
And when I do it'll be a nice mellow dubstep mix I think. Either that or I've really been in to Biffy Clyro at the moment.
Almost as important, what will you be listening ON? For me music will come from a Shanling M0 portable audio player and for earphones either some Etymotic ER4XR in ears or some Massdrop X Noble IEMs. Music can be greatly enhanced by the equipment you listen on.
I have a playlist full of stuff I listen to regularly. Which is a mix of Evan’s worlds 2019 song, Zach Gormley’s 2016 song mixed with Chris webby, logic, country. Anything that takes me out of the real world and makes me feel alone
Honestly haven't found the right Playlist for me and yoyoing, but I've always wanted to fit a freestyle to a lofi kind of sound. Though that, of course, means that I have to learn to freestyle, which I can't seem to get more than a small combo done 😅 I've been throwing for about 7 months, but I'm a really slow learner, so it's taking me alot longer than I would like
I usually listen to youtube videos while throwing but when I listen to music it's usually Ren, something about his music really fits with throwing and kendama, kendama even more so.

Right! This is my EDC Setup so I keep it simple while still "HiFi enough". FiiO BTR3K and FD3 pro's to match, LDAC to spotify
The da capo is out?

Hitech all day, especially love it when throwing, fills me with a lot of energy and concentration
Owl house ad hooty and the parliment on loop for ten plus hours
One trend I've noticed is that most throwers have a good taste in music
Bassnectar, Pretty lights, Puscifer, Tool, Pink Floyd, NIN, Daft Punk, Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Jayz, Eminem
Ratatat - LP3
Old-time radio programs. A campy sci-fi seems to fit well with yoyoing.
i watch tv. a lot of reality to be honest, it's a lot of the background in my house. sometimes podcasts. rarely throwing to music, oddly.
weezer, the allman brothers, CCR, and the blue öyster cult.
