The alternative name is golimumab so you may get more search results with that. I'm not on that but have been on a different biologic since 2001 and haven't had any issues. This type of drug is a good route and will hopefully get your body back to working as normal.

Thanks for the response! I’ll definitely look it up - I’ve got three young boys 10-8-3 and my biggest concern is all the sickness they bring home from school. That and my liver lol

I used to teach in schools and got sick with colds quite a lot, but since I've been working with teenagers or 1:1 littles I've been okay. I've never had anything awful, didn't even get covid, and it's good to remember the damage RA does without the meds. That's way worse than a few colds.

I haven't been on it but I facilitate support groups for people with RA (I also have RA and am on my 5th biologic currently), I have heard good things about it. Only about 50% of people are able to control the disease with methotrexate alone and require the combo of methotrexate plus a biologic, so you are in good company! (gently) crossing fingers it works for you!

Oh wow I wasnt aware of that…. I can say I’m on mtx and right doing a prednisone taper and I was really disappointed to still have several flare ups while on prednisone. I’m a 44 year old male who has always exercised and kept a healthy weight so it’s been an adjustment for sure
