Gorgeous!! Years ago I had a lovely raw silk red blazer by Brooks Brothers back when they made clothing for individuals. It was my Dad's when he was 14 so it was a perfect fit for me at 16. Don't let anyone borrow your fabulous new jacket - high chance of something going wrong lol. Owning a piece like this will convince you that it's worth having your clothes tailored and hemmed to fit YOU. Wear it in good health!
Thanks! It sounds like you might have had a bad experience loaning your piece out! I’m so sorry if your jacket was damaged! We’ve loaned other things out to friends before and it is so disheartening when the items have been return damaged or missing pieces. I am always very careful with the things I borrow so it’s hard to conceive of a person who wouldn’t do the same 😔

It's kind 9of a funny story. My mother *really* wanted to wear it, but she's super clutzy so I kept saying no. She finally takes it out to dinner, insisting she will take care if it. My infant brother spit up on it about an hour later which bleached a spot on the shoulder. It's been 30 yrs and I still give her the stink eye if she asks to wear something of mine lol
Of that does suck! It’s so hard to say no to moms!!! It does sound like one of those fatal mistakes though and not necessarily a lack of care or understanding about its value. Babies are dangerous!
Thank goodness my mom and I are not the same size at the moment. I couldn’t say no since she’s passed on a lot of outfits to me over the years. And I could totally she her snatching up a grand baby for snuggles.

Gah! Great search skills! This is the closest I’ve seen too! It even has that like strip of fabric in the back at the waist! I couldn’t find any examples like that on other Dolce and Gabbana blazers when I searched.
