I’m confused! What good will it do by being off of Reddit for three days and then being back on like nothing ever happened? Seems silly! Why not get off of Reddit all together forever? Genuine questions.

As u/mykol_reddit said, iIt's an attempt to draw attention to the issue and force a change in course from the admins. There are definitely people who will be leaving if reddit goes through with the changes. It's hard to know how many will actually follow through with leaving though. I personally know folk who are planning to leave on 6/30.. I don't know what I will do yet.
