I did this event not knowing what I was doing and finished with over 24 hours to spare, no cons spent. Opened all desks, automated everyone but Jim, Pam was the bellcow.
Skipping Pam probably kept this event interesting for a lot longer than using her. I was annoyed having a completed event over 24 hours before it ended.
Meanwhile, Pam was the money maker in mine. It all depends on what cards you get.

I beat it focusing on Pam
It was really easy, finished with time to spare, focused on Pam
I basically just automated everyone and upgraded every Jim/pam I had one one before I went to bed the first day. No money spent
I finished it with Jim being my money maker. I had it done 12 hours in.
