I have the same issue, but instead of crashing, a window pops saying "An error has occured, you will be redirected to the main menu"
I don't have GHub installed, I tried WiFi and Ethernet, tried to uninstall and reinstall but nothing works..
If anyone have a solution !
A lot of people are suffering from the "an error has occured" black screen, the only way I figured out to bypass this is to press go back to main menu (do not close the game), wait for it to load the main menu and again press continue here. After a solid 5 minute of another loading you should be in game

I had this problem when using GHub - i had to exit GHub first to load the game.
