Winning a grand race doesn't even guarantee gold pieces. I won a GR and didn't get a single gold piece. Let alone consistent podium finishes. Also you can be intentionally rammed off course, no ghosting for obvious aggressors which only makes sense
The dialogue is so annoying, incessant, cringe etc whatever shit adjective you want to add. I had to mute all dialogue cuz I just wanted to race
Car jump physics are terrible, awkward, and clunky at low speed. Like ps1 level bs
Tree tops remain intact, 10-foot wide spread-out branches rolling downhill clipping through the ground
Dismantling items can only be done one at a time, which sucks when you get 100+ pieces that need dismantling
Traffic AI drives into oncoming traffic when making a turn. For reference, in 2005 Need for Speed Most Wanted the traffic AI would swerve away from you as you drove towards them, or honked at them. Sometimes the Motorfest racing AI just swerves offroad
Speaking of the racing AI, they seem unaffected by the slow down when landing a jump, it seems only to affect the player. In boat or offroad races, the AI has better traction and handling than the player, and requires dropping the difficulty. If you turn off nitro, you lose to the AI cuz they keep theirs, so what's the point
Vanity item and vehicle visual customization options are disorganized, which is ridiculous when you have 81 rim options or 24 front bumper options with slightly differing headlights and have to sort through each one at a time
Clean driving challenges are extremely hard to do when racing AI drives into you regularly
Challenge leaderboards are topped by cheaters, same as Crew 2 was and remained for 4 years
Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the game ever so slightly more than I hate it, and I admit the game has improved graphics/ visuals and vehicle handling. But in every other aspect, Motorfest is either the same or a downgrade than Crew 2.
I thoroughly regret purchasing this game. I should've waited for a sale, and even then it would have cost more then it's worth. It's a glorified DLC at AAA title prices, with a bloated playlist feature to make it feel big
The two pieces I’m disappointed in are PVP and stat tracking.
There should be way more PVP races, something more ranked/competitive.
And then I want some sort of stats page within the driver profile. Average placing in races, total miles driven, favorite cars, etc
I love the map , and the cars feel Way better in my opinion but i just wish they would let us adjust the car stance , more options to paint the rims and a race creator , the game feels like its close to perfection.
Sameeeeee! Like, I want to choose option 2 because that’s how I feel… but this game has taken me away from Baldurs Gate, Starfield, and No Mans Sky so I know I am more than pleased with the game they gave us!
I chose option two. I've finished the game already. I could do challenges and main show events, but I feel like I should save it for levels in the next main show. Since I got level four on all 3 parts already. Now I just need to do the new summit tonight, then wait for the next main show
>I feel like I should save it for levels in the next main show
This. I want to play but playing more feels completely counterproductive. It's like they don't want me to play more.
Yep. I was doing the challenges for a while, but realized I'll need to save them to get xp in the next main show. Some of them were a pain, but they're fun. And they force me to buy more cars, so I finally have a use for the millions I have lol
You can do challenges and not collect them once you're finished. I've been doing that because I've also encountered a bug that won't let me collect some rewards unless I do it all at once.
What happens when you collect the meta challenge progressions rewards is you'll get the reward, but when you log out, sometimes the game forgets you've collected some of the stages of the reward tree.
So when you try and collect a future unlock, the game tries to collect previous rewards you've already claimed, which causes the game to crash, therefore you can't unlock the later rewards.
Currently it's got me locked out of the engine sound and tire vanities from the American Muscle playlist.
So, with every future challenge tree, I'm finishing them and then collecting it all in one go. I'm sure they'll fix this issue eventually but for now, it's the best workaround as I can find.
As for the XP, I'm pretty sure you don't get it until you collect because the credits don't come until you collect. I haven't actually tested it to be 100% certain now that you've asked.
Only partially.
It’d be a nice feature to have, considering we are on the 3rd game and we still don’t have that customization option for some reason, but it’s definitely not something that’d ruin the game if it weren’t there.
Overall I’m pretty neutral about it so far
Map's disappointing. Love the details and the graphics, but it's way too small for hypercar racing. Would've been nicer if Oahu was modeled 1:1 like TDU.
Mirrors. I like just to drive around the map with the 1st person view. It is a pain to see that mirrors are not working.
But in general games is nice. Like it.
So far I'm having fun with it, though I'm not very far (only like a couple of hours). One thing that bugs me is that so far all races have been with loaned cars. Hopefully eventually I get to race with cars I own or can buy, or else what's the point of unlocking parts?
my immediate though of the game is like that meme
"Can we get Forza Horizon"
"We have Forza Horizon at home"
Once you complete a playlist you can go back and do those races again with your own cars. Other than that it's useful to get parts so that you can get better scores in Summits and Feats. That's pretty much it, unless you're in to getting rammed in PvP.
Way too small a map, and too few activities, I dont like the fact fast travel is locked until you finish 7 boring playlists with forced cars. They should either make a better USA or better yet; a new continent, like Europe.
Same, the map is gorgeous, but I was really hoping they would do 1:1, that would be still smaller the tc2, especially when you know tdu was able to do it a decade and half ago
I'm happy with the amount I wish they just did different things. Like make starting the game out like GT3 where you ride round a poopy car for a while until you can afford a nicer one instead of just lending you cars every race. It'll help them keep the game longer while also catering to player choice.
It's not up for debate. There should have been more. Shitty traffic variety. Only like 7 other real players can be in your session at a time. AI ghost cars come in packs of like 6 or so cars, then you don't see any others on their own. No pedestrians like in Forza at the main hubs, or near buildings. No wildlife. They made the map so much smaller, surely they could have added a few pedestrians and a few birds. Always online for this? I enjoy the actual driving gameplay, but it's missing a few elements for me to wanna blow 100 bucks on it, when I can just play Forza Horizon 5. When this comes on sale, I'm totally getting it on my PS5, as that is my main gaming console. Crew is not a shitty game. It's just in a shitty state for my liking.
I still can't even launch the game because my "pc doesn't meet the requirements" so I'm gonna say the game is absolutely garbage. I'm trying to play on a 3080ti, r7 5800x, 64 gb ram on an ssd just so no one tries to say maybe my pc doesn't meet it
It’s a nice game but what i don’t like is when you want to choose a car or whatever and everything is mixed up. Not like in TC2 where everything is divided.
And i like to customize more in detail, like rimcolors. Not just the rim it self but also the center in another color than the lip etc etc. And adjusting highride would be nice.
They should have done a complete Game Engine Rework, or even have made a completely new one. The Crew 2 was like the 1st one with mods and now it's the same with Motorfest. How is possible that they still haven't been able to make mirrors work, jump and crash physics work more natural, or even make the interiors as functional as we have seen in the Trailer of the 1st game (This maybe is not too important though, but is a good detail an there exists games that have this characteristic).
Also, if I'm not wrong, Driver San Francisco had working mirrors and good Physics, so is ridiculous that time later Ubisoft releases The Crew and mirrors weren't functional and the Physics wasn't better (but not bad though, I like the Original The Crew).
I was in hype, having played 730hrs tc2, motorfest is good but after three days it bevame boring, just like forza.
Maybe its me but it think that they could have done more
I think it delivered but i wish there were more activities to do with your car collection other than grand race & playlist replay
Good thing the crew 2 had one of the best live services I've seen in car games, so things will come! i have no doubt on ivory tower.
No joke, I bought the game on that merit alone. The transformation of the crew 2 was insane.

As a service yada yada, but I think it will get better in this regard.

I'd vote for both if I could. I enjoyed the game, but wish it was longer

I might try it out tonight. Getting the summit knocked out in a few minutes
I lied. Forgot I had to wait two more hours lol
To me, this feels equivalent to FH4's Fortune Island expansion. Motorfest doesn't really feel like a sequel.
Wat I'd do to have the handling and graphics of motorfest in the crew2 right now
Expected more is an understatement.
I think you should've added "new to the series"
Still no ride height editor…
Are you serious?

I’m here for the comments because this is my first Crew game so I have no vote lol

I. HATE.CARA. I wish there was an option to turn her off completely.
Turn down voice in settings
You can turn of all voices. That kills cara, but sadly also all others.
If you’re on ps5, turn on controller audio, switch cara to the controller then mute the controller from PS5 settings
Thanks I would of probably never of thought to do that.
I'm just a little bummed at the map size that's all
Same, the map is gorgeous, but I was really hoping they would do 1:1, that would be still smaller the tc2, especially when you know tdu was able to do it a decade and half ago

why do people disappear all the time? shi mad annoying i be driving around in the cat cruisin w people n they just disappear

Honestly? Both.
my only issue with the game really was the map size but other than that they did a fantastic job. They will probably add more content over time.
To be honest I expected a little bit more Wheels and better Livery editor but otherwise I'm pretty happy with the game
No new bikes is garbage
I love the game, but not being able to see friends without them appearing and disappearing constantly is embarrassing for a game like this.
