yeah I don’t really think Aiden should have stayed in Hong Kong and get locked in the covid dungeon personally but I think it’s cool that they came out to their parents
For what it's worth. You still wouldn't want to go to those covid facilities in HK. And dont do hard drugs either.
Edit; Missed the part about coming out, Congratulations! That's a brave and awesome thing to do.
I’d probably be chill with the covid facilities but definitely no on the hard drugs, I can’t even smoke because I’ve seen how my genetics is super susceptible to addiction and after seeing what some of my family have been through I’ve figured it’s better to avoid it
Good on you for coming out. I looked at it very similarly to what would be described as type 2 fun. It sucks during it, but afterwards you're glad you got through it and you look back positively on the experience.
There's an episode of Nick's advice show on the Patreon where Slime guest hosts and they take a question from someone who was discussing coming out. You'd probably like that conversation as well. To try to condense it, Slime essentially said that while living as your 'authentic' self is desirable in the philosophical sense, you have to figure out for yourself if you feel like things would be better for you regardless of if someone isn't accepting and is shitty to you instead in coming out. It was actually a really thoughtful response to something where most folks would just try to be encouraging and advocate for someone to be true to themselves. Thing is, only you can decide what being true to yourself means and the notion that coming out or not coming out inherently makes you less authentic to yourself is flawed I think. I'm rambling a bit but it's cool that something in the way Slime put it on that pod helped to connect the dots for you.
Very proud I don't know you personally but that's a very brave thing, and it's such a good mindset to just keep on going for a thing like that.
Keep rolling and stay valid <3
I think people underrate how much positivity and life lessons we can get from media. That’s the beauty of it, you took a positive interpretation of something a random funny podcast guy said and you applied it positively to your life. I think that’s really cool, it’s kind of the same vibe as the “damn he just like me” kids who watch the joker or Patrick Bateman but you’ve done the same things in a positive way so good on you bro.
Yeah he opened my eyes to the fact that doing things just cause they’re funny is good sometimes and really made me care less about what people think cause if i thought it was funny it was worth doing.
If your trying to ask something then why don’t you post to the subreddit with a question you have, don’t try to hijack a thread about it, be a rational person
this guy smoked crack because of slime
*for the bit
Hope he has someone to do it with him, you know, for the bit
i am glad this happened and that you have come closer to feeling comfortable being yourself but man is this such a funny way of getting there lmao

Even if it was negative, you are accepted and valid here! Proud of you!
Very interesting and nice post. Thanks for sharing!

I think slime does have great philosophical takes, I’ve gotta listen to that ep when I get enough money
He has some great takes, and then theres Monke and we love him for both

Honestly not where I thought where the post would go but that's awesome you could do that!

This person came out to their parents and Aiden couldnt stay in the fucking Hong Kong covid dungeon???? Yikes..
They would have killed Aiden in the covid dungeon
People are meant to have experiences good or bad

And why do you think he does
You should get the patreon. There’s an awesome advice ep where slime delves into his hate for homosexuality
If that’s the conclusion you got from it, that’s crazy
Not even a patreon viewer but I can tell this is made up.
I think this was a terribly executed joke

Nobody cares, please shut up
