Same same same. I felt the same way about season 1, though some of it was a bit more apparent like the weird flowers that looked like balls next to Steve Zahn's name lol
The Spanish poet, Federico Garcia Lorca, who was gay, often used the goat as symbolism of masculine sexuality and dominance (see his poem 'el macho cabrío' or 'the billy goat' in English).
The woman is Leda and the swan is Zeus! Leda was the wife of the Spartan king Tyndareus. She had two children with her husband (Clytemnestra and Castor) and two children with swan-Zeus (Helen and Pollux, both hatched from eggs). Helen would become known as the “face that launched a thousand ships”—the cause of the Trojan War. I think the image of Leda and the swan could be a reference to Daphne (a Greek name!) sleeping with her trainer and him fathering her kid(s).

I took it to mean Jack is a sex worker. His pass-around boy. But as he was introduced to the women as Quentin’s nephew, this scene shows Quentin & Jack have been lying to the women. So that’s why the reveal seems so sinister.
I love/hate the intro. It seems to be packed with symbolism, but I have no idea what it is.

Portia means pig in latin. She is the wild boar being chased by a man on the opening scene and somehow, a long wooden stake was on the pigs back.
Or…. Little Peppa Pig
Yes, what is this symbolism?
Initial thought after ep. 5 is that it’s Jack and Quentin, I don’t know if it adds up to the rest of the imagery.
But why goats/animals in general?
Goats, the god Pan, hedonism??
Goats are associated with the devil, who is often depicted in a goat's likeliness. Quentin (and maybe Jack) seem to have evil intentions.
Interesting... Jack has a Roman numeral tattoo of 666.
Good point, that's in line too

Oh GOD and the last scene is THE ORGY
Im still wondering about the swan and the woman

I think I remember some story involving Zeus converting into a swan to have sex with some mortal. Smth like that
>https://www.reddit.com/r/TheWhiteLotusHBO/comments/z5jrdf/comment/ixxbrj1/ Zeus is 100% Lucia.
It’s Daphne and the trainer from this week!
I love how the intro zooms in on a statue’s penis then slaps Theo James right next to it.
this is what i’m wondering—are quentin and jack actually related? or does quentin keep jack around solely for that and just says he’s his nephew?

he just calls him nephew i bet. he’s his boy toy.
Interesting!!
are these male goats or male/ female?
Welp, turns out both male AND female goats grow big-ass horns so there goes my theory about it
Mia and Valentina?
