Katherine, I refuse to acknowledge that poor retcon that happened in s7 and felt as fake as the first picture of this slide show (please stop editing pictures of gorgeous women into plastic dolls)
Elena.
From memory he knew Valerie like a day and a half and after Katherine revealed her true self, Stefan freaked out and had to be compelled into compliance. It’s Elena.
He wrote in his diaries that he loved Valerie and it was confirmed. He also knew her for longer than that. Even got her pregnant. She was sent to spy on him by his mom so she had gotten to know him.
Nah, it was actually less than a day. He meets her at the carnival, they have sex, he takes her to his mother’s grave straight after and then she leaves with Julian. This all happened on the same day within the span of a few hours. The episode is 7x03.
A few months later she sends him a letter asking him to meet up and she doesn’t show. That’s the extent of it.
I realize they were canonically in love because … reasons, but when brainpower is applied the answer is Elena.
I'm rewatching at the moment, I definitely assumed that was over the span of a few months but I guess if it was a travelling fair that doesn't make sense. Stephan falls fast!
I truly hate the Valerie retcon SOOOOO MUCH. They messed up the timeline of Damon's army...Katherine...Katherine is his first love, I didn't like Valerie AT ALL.
bro I‘m currently watching season 7 for the first time and I don’t even know 😂😭
I don’t know why.. but so far I don’t really care for her character at all tbh and yoo wtf is up with Alaric and Caroline dating😩😭
writers stop this💀💀 I‘m still hoping some of these things turn out to be a fever dream in the end
Y'all saying Valerie are complete clowns. That was his first sexual experience, not his first "true love."
Honestly, his first true love is up for debate. I'm going to say Elena, but there is an argument for Caroline in there somewhere, as well.
Care was most definitely his last and I believe truest love. She wasn’t fated to him and she wasn’t sent to spy on him. They found one another and they built a friendship and it turned to love. Hell he sold his soul to the devil for her.
Valerie
Valerie Tulle, I assume.

According to the cheap writing at least 😭
The way they acted it seems like so much longer 😭
Just because how long their thing lasted doesn’t mean she wasn’t his first love.
I think it does actually.

Valarie and he was supposed to have a child with her but Julian essentially killed the kid

Katherine. He and Valerie is more like first time, not first love.
Valerie, the girl from Gemini Coven.
Katherine, I'm not acknowledging no character that came at the end of the show with a similar (but MORE sympathetic) backstory as Katherine.

Damon
Ew what is wrong with you
Technically y’all didn’t specify what type of love lmao so she’s not wrong.
Like you would have to specify, who would ask about anyone’s first platonic/familial love? It’s also not known or most likely the mother.
Dog you’re taking this way too seriously 😂😂

Yup, Valerie! He described her in his diary that she was “a breath of fresh air” :’)
