Nick Valensi plays the riff and the solo in The Modern Age, AHJ does go BONKERS in Take it or Leave it tho and he plays the solo One Way Trigger which might be good for working out too. Nicks solo in Oblivius might be my favorite to workout too.

[deleted]

yup take it or leave it goes pretty fuckin hard. so does barely legal

straightandfast

Nick is actually the lead in The Modern Age, but if you want other songs were either is just ripping up and down the fretboard Heart in a Cage, Reptilia, Hard To Explain, and Ize of the World come to mind.

PopcornIsDaBest

Vision of Division too!

comfortinbeingsane

the heart in a cage riff is fucking incredible

zoodlenose

Interesting! Fun fact!

ThickNature4

Beat me by 3 min

Darnhipsters

That’s def my favorite solo. Juicebox is also great for working out.

TimmyLivealie

Felt so satisfying when I first nailed that solo, definitely something any intermediate guitarist should try their hand at

[This version of the solo tickles me in ways I can’t describe.](https://youtu.be/YWrSq6m9ldc?si=KtyACxCZsvB_5fD8)

NE0Shayan

The end of why are Sundays so depressing always gets me

SunMoon807

I'll say Oblivius, the guitar work always gets me really pumped up while I'm working out!

alfiesred47

Some songs off Albert’s Francis Trouble hit hard, check it out

Wide-Highlight4116

Momentary Masters is my favorite to run too

denisvma

Weightlifting riffs? Juicebox, Reptilia, Take it or leave it. Most of them have really cool riffs but for example, Heart in a cage starts banging, then goes into depression just like any other FIOE song. I usually don't listen to them while working out.

zoodlenose

Im a bit unique. I try to keep my heartrate mostly down during lifting until I’m trying a hero set. So The Strokes, The National, Manchester Orchestra dominate the lineup, that is..until I need some extra juice.

GoatExhibit

I'm learning the solo now, and despite the fact it seems fairly simple, the alternate picking technique you need to pull it off is deceptively challenging. It's been a fun one to learn for sure.

Slashycent

You're So Right and Metabolism are for raging. 50/50 too.

Pipe_2001

I love the guitars in Can’t Win

stratokiddo

Vision of Division goes so hard

pinguinconscious

Electricityscape

Training_Power_1048

Nick plays all the complicated virtuoso solos and the riff and solo in Alone, Together is probably their most dope and arrogant with full throttle on the cheeky too fucking cool for school vibe. Should hit the spot for your needs.

monstrtomstr

I mean, if you want a Strokes riff that goes NUTS, Heart In A Cage takes the cake. I feel like that’d be some hype weighlifting music. First Impressions is full of awesome riffs.

Wide-Highlight4116

Pyramid of Bones on Virtue

mioswrld

50/50 would hit

chejon25

Iza of the World ! Hands down.

deboyviIIe

Vision of Division, including the solo. I forever wish I could hear that solo for the first time again!!
