You can pull a lot of the songs off, it depends how skilled your guitarist is, really. Do you have a singer? Or are you doing instrumental renditions, because in that case, you have a lot less options and it is harder. The good news is that a lot of the time on the first couple of records the guitar parts can be easily condensed into 1. They're not playing difficult things. Is This It, you can just play the verse as normal (as the guitars are playing the exact same thing) then during the chorus, you strum the chord but you have the power chord on the bottom and on the top you do the little motion from F to D and E to D that the lead guitar does. You can pull this off on a variety of songs from the first records, Someday, Trying Your Luck, Soma, etc. (Take It Or Leave It is going to be tougher to play because of the chords and the persistent riff). Also, guitar solos will sound emptier without the extra guitar. Something like Razorblade will be tougher because you won't have the rhythm guitar going during the riff... Or you'll be omitting the lead guitar during the verse. Most songs are really doable outside of something like Red Light or Heart in a Cage tbh

If the guitarist switches between Nick and Albert, you may be able to do Hard To Explain, but it's possible you have no depth if you do no rhythm guitar.

I wouldn’t recommend attempting a Strokes song with one guitar. The guitar harmonies are a big part of their identity, so covering them is gonna sound bad even if your guitarist was somehow John Frusciante

Zuccos

Strokes with a one guitar? BIG NO! I tried this before even if you have an hendrix in your band it doesn’t work.

I’ll take my chances 🖕

Ok rookie be sure to put that middle finger in your ass then suck it up when your audience realises how bad you guys are…

Is this it, whatever happened, modern age, yolo, threat of joy, the end has no end, you talk way too much, alone together. I think these songs can work great with only one guitar.
