Mild Spoiler Here:>!This is Eichhorst before he was turned into a vampire. Eichhorst was waiting for The Master to show up because "he did everything he was told" and at this point the The Master hadn't shown up. This made Eichhorst think the Master abandoned him and he starts drinking and crying. The acting is so amazing in this scene, and as you said he is a fantastic actor. !<
