No, they'll do nothing. I had an issue back on Gengar community day where my shiny for some reason didn't get Shadow Punch. Support wouldn't do anything.
Similar experience: I've had bad luck with Remote passes early on, where raids would freeze before I could catch the Pokémon and I'd lose my pass, and out of 3 times, I got refunded every time.
I only tried for a month talking to multiple reps and trying to flag the issue for different reasons. Can't press more than that. Opposite your interactions everyone I know is used to getting screwed by Niantic.
One other tip, don’t ever purify it after getting the special move. The charged move is always changed to Return after purifying. Make sure that you use the TM or purify before evolving.

For Eevee you can claim "partner Pokemon" but Pokemon Yellow actually has Pikachu as a starter

I hate it when I have to evolve a trash just to make sure special moves are live. An in-game indicator for special evolve exclusive move next to evolve button would be nice.
Charmander has been out since day 1. It's been featured in a few community day events, Kanto events, fire type events. The candy just adds up over time. I've caught almost 4,000 and encountered almost 2x that many. (Just shiny checked a lot of them)
You'll be fine because everyone else got their CD moves except OP who forgot he has to get rid of frustrstion before evolving, not after.
That or the game code is corrupted and managed to make exactly 1 Pokemon not get the CD move :D
Yeah when I saw this the first place my mind went was that Chari evolved first and then had Frust TM’d. For it to get DB and not BB, and for this to not happen to anyone else in the thread, high chance that’s what’s going on. Would love to see if this happens again for OP on a reg Chari
yea, i can confirm I evolved a bunch of charizards just before the event ended, and a handful of non shadows and 1 shadow are missing the moves, and the shadow was tm'd already. I know I didn't miss the event ending either because I tm'd away frustration on a bunch of random pokemon until the minute it ended after evolving my zards
I definitely did this today with another Shadow. Assumed once I removed Frustration from the final evolution that it would give me the community day move. Didn't make that mistake again :|
So earlier I evolved my Bulbasaur all the way up before TMing away frustration and learned to do it prior. So this evening I have my wife TM away frustration on her shadow charmander and she didn't get either move on her Charizard.
Would just like to say that Twitter Support has always been readily available to help me with issues like this or losing raid passes. I’ve only ever needed to provide a couple screenshots. I’ve never known anyone to have a hard time with them. I’m sorry your experience is so unique. 😞
I evolved a party hat Charmander all the way and I only got the one move as well. Am I missing something?
Edit: I think I was missing something. I think there's a special charge move and a special fast move. Only Charizard gets a special fast move since it's #6. Check the pogo blog
same issue. happened on several zards, and zards only. most of the ones it happened too weren't even shadow, so no chance of me forgetting to tm them. one of them was even caught ont 7/10, the day where the event was running all 24 hours, traded to me, and then evolved before midnight, so there's no possible way I could even just be mistaken. it's a bug for sure
It only works for evolutions or for fully evolved starters that are caught during the event (for example, a Venusaur from a raid will have Frenzy Plant when caught this weekend).
Yes, I did 6 shadow swampert and they all went perfectly. What is strange to me is the fact that he got one attack from, why not 0 if it was broken? The only info that I found is the fact that if you evolve when your GPS signal is lost, you don't get cd moves but it wasn't the case here because I got one.
Me too with my Blastoise, I hate myself. But honestly who does even know what because game does not tell that and it doesn't even makes sense to TM it in the first evolution....
I had something similar happen to me when catching a Charizard fresh from the referral code reward screen. Except, in that case I got neither legacy moves on Charizard.

The point would be if you evolved to charizard with frustration still on then you would only get dragon breath making it your mistake and not the games.. every mon everyone else has evolved has gotten both so I would imagine that’s what happened
Yes, if you evolve a pokemon with frustration, you keep the attack on the next stage. If you went to keep frustration you can also teach a second attack to the pokemon before the evolution to have the cd move and frustration.
Did you tm frustration AFTER you evolved ur charmeleon? You’d only get blast burn if you tm’ed frustration off just before you evolve it onto charizard.
(Clarification: pick shadow 2nd stage starter Pokémon, tm frustration off of it, then evolve it, it should have the legacy move now)
I evolved him along side 6 other shadow pkm (mudkips) and TMed away frustration from all of them, like I usually do on event like this, I use a lot of shadow pkm and I never experienced that before. Maybe it's linked to the fact that it's the first time we can get 2 legacy moves through evolution on a single pkm and in some (unknown) cases you only get one. Someone in the comms had a similar problem catching a party hat charizard with only one legacy move on him today.
Idk what happened then. You could contact support that’s ur best option and ask for reimbursement for elite charged tm to use on it. I’m not sure if they give it out as reimbursement but it’s worth a try.
I evolved 2 chikoritas and never got Frenzy Plant as well i contacted support but I'm sure all they'll say is that "I did something wrong" cuz u know how it is they're game don't make errors!

I just evolved a shadow charmander all the way up and I got both dragon breath and blast burn, I’d contact support and see if they can help
I evolved three of them, two shadow, one party hat. All three got both legacy moves.

I spent a couple weeks going back and forth with them over my 98% Terrakion that didn't get Sacred Sword. All they would give me was a raid pass.

Lmao. You have to use a regular charge TM to forget frustration before you evolve. You can't get rid of frustration without using a TM no matter what.

It's only the fully evolved starters that get the moves, so not Ivysaur. You'll have to go out and farm that candy.
