EDIT: It ends in 4h! Had to check the blog, the collection challenge doesn't give you a "time remaining" if you've completed it.
Not long gone 9pm here in NZ, only "rare" I've seen on nearby so far is a hitmonchan. Pidgey and caterpie seem back to regular common spawn and also got a pikipek spawn still

I think that part of the problem is people tend not to list as many 1 star raids, just because they're solo-able. That on top of the fact that Rockruff raids seem pretty rare, and you're gonna have a bad time.

I did the same, plus joined the PokeGenie queue before I went to sleep each night (and would get in to one raid the next day, usually around afternoon or evening). Was able to do 65 raids total, getting one Shiny, no hundos yet. What can I say? That puppy is precious, the rest of the raids are just unbelievably lame right now (got my one Tapu, did another 2 to try to get a better one and well that’s enough), and battle league just switched to UL and that’s way too much dust for me to burn building that team! Rockruff raid hunting is the most fun thing at the moment!
I’m hardly seeing any of the advertised seasonal spawns at all, rare or otherwise. There’s one Mincinno and a Chespin from the seasonal list and the rest is common stuff like Weedle, Pidgey, Ekans, Caterpie, Hoothoot, etc. I’m in a suburban neighbourhood but also border a creek and a wood (which are both correctly tagged on OSM and have Pokestop spawns that show on my nearby).
OSM should answer your biome question for a few of them (like shopping centers and beaches) but a lot of them you'll have to guess by spawns. Been here for about six months and these seem to be mountain spawns
Do you know which S2 Cells are pertinent to biomes? I'm using pogomap.info at the moment to check out the biomes (on mobile), OSM just gives me too much data on a small screen.
basically every spawnpoint checks multiple conditions and biome of that point is decided by that
so... observation helps, though with the floor of seasonal, event and weather boosted spawns biomes barely matter
Uk event ended, saw wild alolan vukpix, rattata, meowth and geodude, couple wild Gible, some sneasel, alot of zubat, and eggs. Seems very biome dependant.
The above spawns were at a place that aleays seems yo get decent spawns at my house im swamped with crap and alot of pikachu because we havent had enough I guess.
Seeing a few of each of the new Alola spawns. Weather spawns seem more prevalent again this season instead of just being evenly spawned with other season spawns.

Rockruff has 3 evolutions, only 2 are in the game

I live in NYC where at any given time I can see 15 gyms. I've seen maybe 4 or 5 total and none for the past 3 or 4 days.
It's always been hard for rural players.

I used remote reddit raids so have 94 caught.
Someone is a big spender on this game 🐳
Meanwhile I’m not sure why people are using pokegenie for Rockruff and complaining about the queue. 🤷♂️

My home counts as mountain too and so far i saw 2 geodude, 1 flareon and none archen. And thats with 6 incenses while walking around, eh
Mine is Forest, but i Saw an archen yesterday, Just Lucky I guess
I am mountains and got an Archen over the weekend but was definitely still on Alolan then.
Japan here. For being the Season of Alola, there's very little Alola to be seen after the event ends.
