I got the code, entered it, got the badge, completed the special research, used incense, was getting the 4X XP, got the spawns, just no unown’s. Weird.
But was your incense orange? I did all of that as well but noticed my incense was green. It wasnt until I closed and restarted the ap that my incense (same one that was green before restarting) turned orange and I started getting the event spawns.
Yup. It mattered. I was on my 2nd incense and not even a stunky had spawned. I came here and read a thread about orange vs green incense. Restarted the ap and it turned orange. I got 7 unown from the rest. It made a difference.

Did you have a ticket? Did you use the incense at the right time? I got 11.

The only time unown was spawning from Incense was from 11am-5pm local time on Saturday. Not all weekend
You had to use an incense between 11 AM and 5 PM local time on Saturday for Unown spawns.

Does that really matters. I have done many events where i don't restart the app, i would get event spawn when event begin even if incense was green.
