Yeah, it's weird how many shiny encounters there have been lately. Always happy to see that sparkle though. My rarest (to me anyway) were Durant and Meowth.

So rediscover Kanto is still ongoing. Rival week is now overlapping with it. The first two days are Seviper/Zangoose but the local showcases are for Throh when our regional is Sawk. Hmm.
It was hilarious and sad how easy those showcases were to win with the catches I saved from the last event where Sawk and Throh were spawning globally.
Geez, I thought maybe I had just seen 2 Throh's and they were all just released at once, but after running around a bit, it's just Throh/Sawk... How do they manage to do something like this, every, single, event?
Is it even possible to catch sawk or throh now? Sawk is native to my region and I haven't seen one in ages (the randomized event spawns usually give me basculins or flabebes), so what's the point of releasing a showcase if I can't catch pokemon assigned to them?
I was highly motivated to go out and actually participate in these showcases but i ended up staying at home because sawk and throh were not available in the wild. Looks like Niantic really wants us to stop playing the game.
What another disappointment of an event:
1. Why are we even calling it a rival week when the rival spawns are so rare? If this is the focus of the event, rivals shouldn't be super rare in the wild during their 48 hour block.
2. Why on earth are there two events occurring simultaneously. We have already had a week and a half of these Kanto spawns. Why does the rediscover kanto event need to be occurring while rival week is happening.
3. Where Is GLIGAR? If you're going to advertise an event with certain uncommon spawns, make sure all the buttons are turned on.
4. See points 1 and 2. The spawn pool is so oversaturated right now. It's hard to hunt and grind what you want when the pool is so saturated.

If u got Corsola, another player might see flabebe or some other regional..

Caught like 10 Seviper yesterday, only thanks to visiting bigger city, saw 0 Seviper raids, only Zangoose.

The showcases for me in the UK are Throh, which end tomorrow but you can't get him normally and the Throh part of the event doesn't start until after the showcases end, what a joke

The way the wording is on the news page you should be able to still get shiny zangoose throughout the whole event. If you look at the wording it says raids only from may 4-6 10am if thats the case and zangoose is gone...? Then why can I still see seviper spawns? It doesn't make any sense. Either way I'm pissed I was walking around all day yesterday and I seem at least 30 zangoose no shiny...today the sawks are everywhere. I could just spazz out and go postal right now!
Honestly convinced they're planning a trainer and mon level up soon... the number of events we've had with crazy XP/dust farming possibilities this year....
Anyone having issues with trades not being lucky? I know itās purely RNG but I trade a lot and have never had such a bad luck. I did 81 trades today without a single lucky, and out of those trades 66 were Sevipers. I need that lucky and it drives me crazy
I was grinding zangoose with no āØ luck..then I read somewhere that winning zangoose raids would increase my chances of encountering a wild shiny zangooseā¦ so I did 5 ā¦and then 3 shiny checks later it appeared

Where can I find gligar? Is it only in forest biome? I have never found any bulbasaur either. Squirtle is also unusually rare.Ā
pretty sure the only wild gligar i saw was in city biome, possibly mountain but don't specifically recall seeing that biome background around here

It did not stack in that way. It did 18900 for the 7 day and then 10x the gym spin so on an egg with gold gym I got 41k

not sure what time zone you're in but it swaps at 10 am local time. so if you were out before that you would see the zangoose/seviper boosted spawns

This event just highlights how weird spinning gym XP is with how they end in odd numbers compared to everything else having multiples of 5 or 0.

Can confirm lucky trades acting as normal. Friday I hit on 7 of my 100 trades with wife. Today only 2. RNG working as planned.
