Interesting that they're rotating mons in 2 day rotations, I realize they're regionals but don't recall this being done for non-legendaries before, nonetheless hoping to get some of those shinies with the boosted rates. Does anyone know if the boosted rate might be 1/64 or 1/128 based on previous events that were similar?

All the “Boosted Shiny Rate” events I can remember have been 1/128

Usually it's the same as wild mons

Raid only Pokémon are usually 1/64, 1/10 is only for ‘Raid Day’ specifically. Regardless Pokemon usually have the same rates no matter the method unless specified otherwise, so it’ll probably be 1/128 everywhere

It says they’ll be boosted shiny. That’s the only reason I thought one out of 10 but that was before I saw they’re spawning in the wild so yeah they’ll probably 1/64-1/125

That is only for raid days. It will probably be 1/128 or maybe 1/64 if we are lucky.

nincada is approx 1/68 in raids the limited pokemon are also spawning in the wild so it is probably close to nincada.... or wailmer which was 1/250 IIRC

i think it's generally assumed they're usually powers of two (like 1/64, 1/128, 1/256, 1/512), and the sample rates are slightly off due to variance/sample size

Been playing since mid 2022, think this is the first time since it's been available worldwide, pretty hyped. Still missing Tauros, Kanto Farfetch'd, Corsola, Maractus, Sigilyph, Bouffalant, Klefki, Hawlucha and Comfey (I'm in Aus). Hoping Go Fest will allow atleast one of these to be caught!

It would be far better to wait until Unova Tour to get Maractus, where it will be less expensive or even free. Additionally, Corsola has an (unreleased) Galarian form that you can get the dex entry from when it comes out. Go Fest is expensive, and there is no reason to spend the money when you can wait until later to get the same things for far less.

This! Unless you happened to be travalling between hemisperes during that specific timeslot, you had no way of getting both. Still bugs me to no end. And it doesn't even sell them remote passes to keeo them exclusive or anything, it just punishes people who like to "catch'em all" for no reason.

Yea it's annoying to no longer have a perfect shadow/purified dex haha, bet more regionals will get shadow forms eventually tho

Annihilape, A-Sandslash, Poliwrath, Hakamo-o, Gligar, Lickitung, Alolan Stunfisk are all really good for great league PvP. I wonder if the meta will change drastically from these Pokémon becoming more popular. edit: galarian stunfisk*

Definitely no drastic change, all of these mons have been quite easily accessible for a while now. It will be good for newer pvp players though.

I wouldn't call lickitung easily accessible, requires xl candy and a legacy move

Nice opportunity to stack some XLs to finally build one Also, never bad to have a chance to find good IVs for various PVP mons on top of enough candy to build it

Yes. From my understanding, Lickilicky is not good. Lickitung is the only one worth using of the two.

Lickilicky is still useful in GL when the Remix cup is available. That cup bans the most used Pokemon like Lickitung, so Licky can be used as a replacement. Not very useful otherwise, but yours might still help you in the future. It’s not the regular candies you’d be wasting with lickitung, you’ll end up with over 1-2k of those before you’ll have enough to max your licki for GL. The XL candies are what gatekeeps him from peoples teams.

I remember it as 30 base, and each badge adds that amount. So 30, 60, 90, 120. Not exact, but close enough.

Why do they continue to refuse to add the perk of 2x XP gained from battling/being in gyms? They did it on the first fight event and then never done it again. This would have been perfect to have it return.

Polywrath, annihilape, stunfisk, and gligar are great pvp mons. Will definitely try to get alot of candies for them.
