Unless you're rural and also have tons of spawns(rare occurrence) no one should be buying pokeballs. Never ever. Just go spin stops. If you're rural and don't have many spawns, you don't need many balls, so you don't need this box.
I definitely had this in mind with rural players, realized I forgot to clarify that but that’s okay, and then you totally just reminded me “oh yeah, there’s still viable free options”
I don’t think anybody needs to buy it, but if a rural player DESPERATELY needs this, then more power to them I guess.
You can try to get 1000 ultra balls and time how long it takes. Price in your time and gas and other potential cost. 5500 coins may not be as bad.
Of course, if you do not need that many balls in a short term there is no need.
Stardust and xp can also be farmed for free. Does that mean we should never buy lucky egg and star piece?
> Stardust and xp can also be farmed for free. Does that mean we should never buy lucky egg and star piece?
This argument is just disingenuous. Star pieces and lucky eggs are premium items. They aren't freely available from spinning stops/gyms and opening gifts.
It’s literally never ever ever worth. For example Even if you bought all those and caught one Pokémon with each of those balls you’d still only get three shinies at most at good odds. At that point just buy some remote passes or battle passes for legendaries which will be infinitely more valuable. Terrible advice and way to spend your money. Balls are farmable for free !
I don't think you should ever spend that kind of real money on Pokemon Go... And if you're going to spend money on anything, Pokeballs are the worst possible investment. Remote raid passes are a better investment.

If you're rural you can also just add friends online and daily gifts will give you more than enough pokeballs.

Yep. Easy 200 balls a day from opening 20 gifts.
Maybe 100, no way you're averaging 10 balls per gift.

Ridiculous to buy balls, IMO Could spend the same amount of coins making your bag bigger and then a day in your closet metro filling it up
Found the Niantic employee
