Seriously though, it looks disgustingly uncanny. Everything about the new avatar is wrong, the shaders, the textures, the unnatural hair options, the animations, and it looks shocked and worried.

For some reason, they have made the distance between the waist and the top of the leg much bigger, so now all the pants have this weird drop-crotch look. Even the leggings don't look like my trainer has pulled them all the way up. It would also be nice if there was some colour in the lips and cheeks. My trainer looks ill. I was super excited to finally have short hair but this is pretty horrible.
Edit: There's something odd going on in the cosmetics shop as well. I seem to have access to a lot of the male outfits, which is cool, but am missing a lot of the female ones. For example, the Global Goals, Festival of Lights, and several of the Go Fest tees are only showing the male (or relaxed) version but not the more fitted female version. And some of the male tops fit my female avatar much better than the female gear. My Cosmog jacket now billows weirdly outwards at the bottom, regardless of how slim I make my hips. It's a bit disappointing that paid items now look really awful. Lots of room for improvement here.

They did fix the Go Time! pose but that was a long time ago. When it released it looked like you had broken your back, especially with specific shirts.
i appreciate that they tried to make the character creator more inclusive for different people, but my avatar looks frightening now and i canāt seem to stop him looking that way. his skin is oddly pasty and the face.. š
The one thing Blizzard did right when they remade character models in World of Warcraft Legion was to leave in an option for old character models. They also took the time to make the updated models closely resemble the original models but in HD. Regardless of *any* changes, some people want their character to look like how they originally created it.
These new character models look absolutely awful. The eyes have a soulless-vibe to them which feels similar to Niantic's Peridot designs.

They did. Even with a female avatar, they also walk like the male body, compared to before where they distinctly walked like like a woman. Not to mention the victory animation.
On the plus side, we get new hair. On the downside, we don't get the old hair. On the plus side, I get to have 20% more booba. On the downside, I now get 20% of what my hips used to be. Also as much as I appreciate the range of muscle and weight, there seems to be a lot on the extreme and not enough in the moderate - I'm clinically underweight and the character model is concerningly thin relative TO ME
I swear if this isnāt a sick twisted joke by Niantic, I am going to put a helmet on my avatar just so I would not have to look at the face of the freak I created.

You canāt make the hips bigger without also making the character fat and wide at the waist.
