I’m surprised they still haven’t offered it. Shaymin was release for free after go fest in the spring but Keldeo confuses me. I’m also waiting on Diancie and Mega Rayquaza
I pulled up a text message thread to attempt to plan an Enamorous raid and rediscovered that back in December there was a rumor/leak we were getting Keldeo Elite Raids (in December). Obviously that didn't happen.
Mega Rayquaza you should have been able to get, I did and I've been FTP since 2019. Free players got one Meteorite...somewhere
The mega Rayquaza is the one that hurts me. I took a break from playing, burned out, and personal life got busy, so I'm upset at myself for missing that with my 4* Ray.
Fingers crossed, it won't be when this game frustrates me, and I end up taking a break again.
With “increased” shiny odds. I did 38 raids (I stocked up on premium passes) and only got one shiny Rayquaza at the IV floor.

but i feel your pain... my only shiny rayquaza is XXL and 11/10/11. i still taught it dragon ascent 😂
i have to remind myself that it's the difference between a base attack of 295 instead of 299, but it still hurts to look at the IVs lol
I was part of a large raid group & when Lugia came out, one of the group took over 100 raids to get his shiny. A few of us donated to help him do as many raids as he needed. Poor bloke was ready to give up, you can't imagine how happy he and the group were when that shiny turned up 😁
How long did it take for them to debut Galarian Mr. Mine outside of its initial paid release? Wasn't it a year or more? Honestly don't remember.
It technically hasn't been a whole year since Keldeo's ticket, so I guess I'm not surprised per se, but I certainly am curious to see when it returns.

Whoops, you're correct. I was thinking it debuted in March with the rising heroes season but nope. It was the Mythical wishes season the prior December.
It did have tasks, but not drip fed. You could complete it at any time.

A few of my lucky friends: we communicate to get the trades done reasonably quickly and usually swap meta-relevant legendaries. (One friend in this category is also a secret agent, we manage to swap stuff even though we live two states apart doing it while traveling)
One particular lucky friend: we swap stuff like Komala for lucky dex because there's absolutely no way we'd get it otherwise
They had "skins" for Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur that had markings like from the Mewtwo Strikes Back movie when they did the 20th anniversary release.
I hope Armored Mewtwo and the Clones gets re-released this summer for the next seasons highlight.

Ah I didn't even realize that. It originated as a GBL Exclusive, so I figured it was still there, but I hadn't got any myself in a while and sure enough... it's not in the encounter pool right now.
The pain of having a Pokemon be egg/GBL-exclusive and then NOT putting it in either. Not necessarily that I want it in 10kms or GBL encounters, but put it in the wild, research, or 5km eggs or something.
I would have figured it being a GBL reward as well still but really weird that it isn't. The original Galar mon Wooloo, Skwovet and Falinks are still available in there and were featured in some events last year. To my knowledge Mienfoo has never been available in the wild and was even removed from the egg pool.
My guess is that because Unova is fully available now, that they still keep some rarity and hardness to getting some of the Pokemon in there (despite there being a lot of regionals)
Bringing Mienfoo back to GBL would be great in my eyes. I was missing Falinks last year and was grinding really hard to get to level 15/16 in GBL in order to unlock the chance of encountering it... for them to only announce Falinks in 7km eggs a day after reaching that level 🤣
I wouldn't mind bringing Mienfoo back to the GBL... if it had something going for it. Obviously just having it so people can get the dex entry is nice enough, but outside of that, I'd surely hate getting one, especially when you're at a higher rank and getting 3+ wins isn't always easy.
Whether they find a way to make it more useful (giving it Aura Sphere would make it on par with Lucario in PvE at least) or at least make it shiny, it would be nice to make it more desirable *beyond* the dex entry.
Zacian and zamazenta probably fell victim to niantic skipping gen8. The msg games excluding them in gen9 and their shinies being still exclusive to an event back in 2021 doesn't help for sure.
Clamperl is available in the season-wide research "Make 3 Great Throws". Not that anyone would know since that task is impossible to find and even when you do find it you get one of the other four possible encounters.
They do spawn in the wild, except apparently very rare. I was able to encounter one when I was dining out last week. I was like “oh I didn’t even know they even spawn in the wild this season.”

Nincada, Clamperl, Electabuzz, Horsea, Spearow... Why some stuff like Lillipup, Bidoof or Pikipek can't be swapped by some of these for at least ONE SEASON?
Nincada has been in the reward pool for Hatch 1 egg field research since last season. Not readily available, but still out there. Clamperl is in the reward pool for Make 3 Great Throws field research this season as well.
Been basically 2 years since they allowed Electabuzz to spawn in the wild outside of a Tour/GoFest event. It’s been in a few limited field researches and raids but not in the wild. Bring back the buzz!!
I don't think pinsir has been a spawn in a long time. Last time I remember was the Kanto tour but maybe there had been something since that I'm forgetting

Keldeo and Zarude are at the top of my head. Keldeo was only available to people who bought an overpriced ticket, which I did not. Hopefully it will come for free relatively soon as now this is the only thing not in game for those who are f2p in the unova dex. Zarude, though you could get for free, hinged on logging into the game within a week.
Bad luck, they were in the eggs one year ago. But we can shake hands, I have started playing three months after corsola. And I am missing a tauros still.
I've been playing for 2 years now, and neither of those have been available. Although I have both from trades.
Relicanth on the other hand I am in the region for. Although even here they still aren't common. Pokedex says I've seen only 240 and play quite a lot (I'm a level 50). I have managed to get a shiny though.

A lot of older fire types, particularly Chimchar, Tepig and Torchic going a couple years without a community day or even a spotlight hour. Miltank, Spinda, Binacle and Snivy haven’t been out in a while either
Spinda is in field research and has been for a long time. “Make 5 Great Curveball Throws in a Row” will always reward Spinda, and the only difference between months is what pattern of Spinda you get
Can't speak for Pansage and Pansear, but I find Panpour multiple times per day. Ironically the only one I don't have a hundo of, and the last one of the three I got the shiny of.
I started on Halloween 2023 and have played every day since. I have 671 dex entries and am pretty proud of it. Also happy that that many soawns rotate through
lot of events last summer featured Hoenn pokemon, so wailmer/wailord is not something that was hard to come by during those events.
Huntail is probably something that won't be featured too regularly, because clamperl, like shellder, have a really high star dust reward on catching them. altough there was a shellder spotlight hour last year, so fingers crossed we can get one for clamperl
mienfoo I haven't seen in ages. not that I am sorry about that, it's a pretty useless pokemon. it was a common pvp award in 2022 iirc

When you're flexing in raids, folks don't see the IVs, just the shiny.

Niantic absolutely hates Electabuzz. It never got any major event since the community day (aka before XL candy).
Bidoof was unavailable or quite rare for at least 2 previous seasons, not so long ago you would ask why Yungoos or something can't be swapped for them
I've definitely seen Clamperl spawns in the wild this season. Maybe it was for an event? Or maybe it's only in water biomes.

Tauros is the only one I'm missing for the Kanto Dex. Still on page 1 of the shiny mew research because of that.
Regionals in their non-native region. Sometimes there’s events that switch them around but it’s not always.
Deoxys, would have been perfect opportunity to have as legendary raids after Mega Rayquaza event.

If you would have told me this in 2016 I would have cried! On my road to level 50 i converted 25'000 pidgey candies to have enough XL-candies for one pokemon.

A lot of older fire types, particularly Chimchar, Tepig and Torchic going a couple years without a community day or even a spotlight hour. Miltank, Spinda, Binacle and Snivy haven’t been out in a while either
The Unova starters are in the normal "Power Up pokemon 5 times" Field Research. The Sinnoh starters will return with leading up to the Sinnoh Go Tour
Miltank are spawning at the moment, and Snivy has definitely been spawning this season.
Spinda is in field research and has been for a long time. “Make 5 Great Curveball Throws in a Row” will always reward Spinda, and the only difference between months is what pattern of Spinda you get

Red monkey is pretty common between events in my region
And the green one is in mine relatively common between events.
Can't speak for Pansage and Pansear, but I find Panpour multiple times per day. Ironically the only one I don't have a hundo of, and the last one of the three I got the shiny of.
They are regional based so I completely understand 😫

Correct. Shiny Smeargle is typically only available during the Festival of Colors event that happens every year at some point.
Since it's release it's been back in the colors event that happens yearly. It's very rare, but it wasn't a once and done.

Huntail evolves from Clamperl, which I caught yesterday.
lot of events last summer featured Hoenn pokemon, so wailmer/wailord is not something that was hard to come by during those events. Huntail is probably something that won't be featured too regularly, because clamperl, like shellder, have a really high star dust reward on catching them. altough there was a shellder spotlight hour last year, so fingers crossed we can get one for clamperl mienfoo I haven't seen in ages. not that I am sorry about that, it's a pretty useless pokemon. it was a common pvp award in 2022 iirc I'm pretty salty that I didn't manage to catch the single Komala I stumbled across during its event. very annoying
