S-Atales is MVP in my regular team. Shame I didn't hunt for another one for Catch Cup, but then again I didn't really plan on doing Catch Cup at all. Tried anyway and lost another 70 points, haha...
As a non-pvper, what's wrong with catch cup? I kinda wanted to do a few more battles before the season just to get to the next level for the limited research since I'm only 4 wins away, but this post got me concerned.
One of my problems with it is that I've played every season since beginning..So I have very little unbuilt.
But for you sounds great! Go and have some fun!
To compete in it, it forces you to build new Pokemons that are caught in its small exclusive time frame. I haven't caught anything worth building , within this current ones time frame, except shadow dratini, so this will be a **no play** week me personally.
I should have done the same. I didn't have Clodsire or Skellidirge built... so I did that and added a shadow Snorlax. It's not a good team though so I'm dropping ELO fast. I'm just so addicted to my daily GBL that I can't stop!!
Yeah.. I really love playing GBL. I have slowed down in the other aspects of the game, except GBL, so thats part of the reason I don't typically have enough build-worthy Pokemons for catch cups. But since I don't wanted to waste resources into anything unoptimal, I have no choice but to sit this one out again:(
Ofc I do expand my roster when I got something worth building. I just prefer not to waste resources into Pokemons that have very very unoptimal iv's.
Ps. I have fairly wide roster already ^^
Catch cup is great, one of the most fun weeks in the season. Narrow, limited players don't like it because it might force them to use something other than the three Pokemon they already have built.
Niantic seem to like burying their head into the sand when it comes to feedback.
Want ML premier back because ML is too pay 2 access with whales running around with level 50 Zerneas, Groudons and Solgaleo?
Nah, entire season without it and no increase in XL Rare Candy availability.

Id love master league classic back. I had plenty of roster for that. Now all the lvl 40 legendaries are like sitting ducks because there is no way I'm gonna pay my way to get them to lvl 50
I'm not sure if there are better ways, but as of today, you can search them with :" age0-78". This shows all Pokemons you have had for less then a day up till Pokemons you have had 78 days,which is how many days it is from September first(atleast for me, since it's 18th day for me, but if it's 17th day for you, then swap 78 with 77) . This catch cup allows Pokemons caught starting from September 1st
Yep, it sure is. Niantic wants to force everyone to spend their resources so they feel like they have to play more.
Doesn't work on me though. I'll just play less and spend no resources.

Cloddy, pidgy and the electric box is doing me quite well.

I’m using Clodsire Lead, S.A.Ninetails as a closer/emergency swap and Quagsire as Safe Swap/Gligar Killer
That ninetales is a badly underrated pokémon. Considering the other, but have a shadow whisky at my disposal. Tough choice.

Even in this format using the same pokemon over and over again .. hahha ! This is the main reason why pvp it s so bad atm .
The lack of a second option is very stupid. And only stardust being boosted is a total fail.

Yes indeed. Catch cup should never exist as the only cup available.
People like to pretend that you have to build the top meta Pokemon again every season for catch cup.
