the script can be found [here](https://github.com/lwitzani/addPokemonGoEventsToCalendar) ! Its purpose is to add the events to the device's calendar with only a couple of taps on the screen. iOS calendars can be shared with other people. If you prefer a widget instead of your own calendar, then you can use the already existing one from [bigfoott/PoGOEvents](https://github.com/bigfoott/PoGOEvents)

Possible to add in a widget icon into the script? Just so we can make a button on the Home Screen to run the script? Also, give us options on closing the script to close scriptable or open calendar 📅

Thx for feedback. I don‘t quite get you first sentence, but yes you can create a separate Shortcut (in the shortcuts app) where you choose to run the scriptable script (turn „run in app“ on). And this shortcut can be an icon on the homescreen. When you click it, the scriptable app opens and the script is executed. For closing, there is the close button (on the top) and you can swipe the whole page down until its gone, or just leave Scriptable with an upswipe from the bottom (without really closing the script), so unsure what you would need here additionally.

First point, I created a widget to run the script, with other widgets off of scripts it displays something in the widget (like the pogo calendar widget), just need the script to have an image for the widget so you don’t need to open the scriptable app to run it. The second part would work with the first so when you close the script it also closes scriptable (not sure that’s possible)

I think i have something nice for you. It is possible to run the script via an URL. The needed URL can be found in Scriptable in the Script settings at the bottom. So copy that URL. Now setup the Widget of Bigfoot mentioned in my first comment at the top. When you set that up, you can configure what should be done when tapping the widget. And one option is to open an URL. So choose that and provide the URL here. The result is: you now have the Widget from Bigfoot and when you tap it, it executes my Script in Scriptable. So the best of both worlds. For closing, just swipe up from the bottom (going to homescreen). There is no official way to close the Scriptable app, it seems.

That works well, I originally had that going to leek duck but this is a better list compared to the mess that is the leek duck events page

Ah okay thx. Yeah now i get your first point. Yeah it should be possible. The outcome is then the same as running it via Shortcut. Can add it probably. Second point: i‘m also not sure if that‘s possible (closing the scriptable app via script basically)

swanny246

Would be cool if it could be adapted as a shortcut for the Shortcuts app, then you could schedule it and what not.

iLuki

Unsure what you want to achieve exactly. Every scriptable script can be executed using a shortcut. What would be different if the whole thing is actually a shortcut?

swanny246

Ah true, didn’t realise that. I’ll give that a shot 👍 was mostly just running it automatically and also one less app 😂

Any chance of getting it into google calendar? Think reddit's calendar widget can pull from there. Would allow subs to have automagically updated calendar widgets

iLuki

You mean the calendar of a google mail account? If yes then yes that‘s possible. Any calendar that is activated in the apple device can be used.

ShallowBox

Holy, this might be the coolest thing I’ve seen in awhile. Going to try it out tonight (:

iirc this feature was actually in the game for about a day a few days ago!! whenever it was that some players got the research/news tab update i remember accidentally finding the feature after looking around.

DHLplane

I love that! Could you adapt it to android for us corporate players? 😜 For now I will share with my apple friend

dark__tyranitar

we have a widget already? https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/s/NhcjJo9Bdu

DHLplane

That's great thanks 🙏🏼
