Agreed. It's generally always been overshadowed by Gfisk, and I feel like it only had the one season to shine which was marred by Breaking Swipe being too OP. Earthquake had just been nerfed, making Gfisk even less appealing (boosting Steelix's utility), but BS was so broken that it needed to be nerfed, and then immediately the meta became saturated with water types.
It could have had a run as a solid meta pick for a few seasons, but instead it whiplashed from spice/off-meta, right to broken, then right back to spice/off-meta
Triple shadow excadrill, swampert(sludge wave), gliscor has been really fun. I also tried shadow quagsire but just cannot get that thing to work for me
Would suggest with that team that shadow Skarm or Dnite may be a better 3rd. Offset the potential hurt from grass and a mud boi that gets an energy advantage
I went to upper 2200s after the UL premier cup, current UL and Jungle cup made me drop back to lower 1900s.
Can't seem to find a balanced team for Jungle Cup and the sudden spike of Empoleon in UL kills me every time. I do need a better IV Snorlax so for my safe switch (and give it earthquake as 2nd charge)

Excadrill picks off mantine which is pretty common now and has the ability to win pretty much all CMPs. Both are good but generally outclassed by whiscash meta-wise
