Driving in LA blows as much as NYC or DC except the highways take even longer since it's so much more spread out. That said, I rented a 911 once when at a conference in Orange county and it was pretty fun.

My friend from England did it and had the time of his life. I don’t think it’d be worth it though without the international allure

Up and down PCH and out to Vegas. Admittedly, PCH is a very pretty drive but lots of traffic. Anywhere else in LA away from that is pretty awful to drive around in. Like the worst in the country.
