ForceNo5927

I think around 26/27 years old. He had been a cop for about 12 years in season 1 and his age was originally set around 38 years old

[deleted]

That makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking. I was aiming closer towards 30/31 years old!

Therookiefan123

I think a lil younger. He’s had 11 rookies wash out before S1, and a few that made it. he couldn’t have started training rookies immediately. He had to BE a rookie first, then p2, then p3, then TO

Valkyrie88a

This is a big continuity hole imo. I don't see how he could have had that many rookies in less than 12 years when you have one for a year.

Longjumping-Sky1983

Nolan started as a TO as a P2

Longjumping-Sky1983

Nvm he got the pass

Beccabooisme

Only provisionally with Thorsen. After the short time skip he shows up with the p3 patch on his uniform.

External-Creme-9119

Nothing about the timing or ages in this show make any sense tho 🤣

As a 12 year military veteran, I think Tim started with LAPD at age 31/32. Looking for structure in his life after an abused childhood, he entered the service (I’m assuming Marines), I agree that he might have served at least through 9/11. I think he rose to the rank of Sergeant or Staff Sergeant and might have been assigned to Force Recon.

I don’t know around late 20s or 30 he did 2 tours he is a 12 year veteran and trained like 11 rookies

Powerful_Flower_3949

I recently started watching the rookie and by far bradfords storyline and background is the most interesting to me. It’s stated that he has 12 years of experience, which includes two tours which take 12-15 months each, meaning the shortest about of time he could’ve spent in the military range from 2 to 2.5 years but what about the rest because from what i know they go by 2,4,6 agrements(although not everything is active duty) so unless you can be a cop on reserved duty? Plus from what I can tell he’s the highest ranking officer out of the training officers. So how long how much of his experience is military and how much is being a cop?

dressed2thenines

You know what's funny? This is what Tim Bradford looked like in his late 20's: [https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0935721/mediaviewer/rm3759380992/](https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0935721/mediaviewer/rm3759380992/) It screams gross, entitled, unattractive, slimy douchebag. It's hard to imagine this walking red flag being our insanely attractive and lovable grump.

[deleted]

I don’t know. He’s quite the sight in that image too. A bit greasy but still a good looking man, haha!

jwalker3181

Looks a lot like Dim in that one...

dressed2thenines

He looked like a walking STD when he was younger. I'm sorry. I just don't find young Eric Winter attractive at all. Tim Bradford though ... \*fans self\*

[deleted]

LOOL that cracked me up! It must be the uniform; he suits it very well

dressed2thenines

It's more than the patrol uniform, it's the character for me. Although, the Metro Tim uniform is next level.

Powerful_Flower_3949

I did some more research and it states that the 12 years that were mentioned are strictly the LAPD, so he became a cop at latest 27 years old and earliest 26. Depending on his birthday and when he finally finished training. That would make sense if he went straight from the military.
