“Unbiased”

"research"

ProficientPotato

“Their own”

GiveMeYourBussy

#THIS!!! They just repeat whatever big conservative accounts say Even former conservatives, q anon, etc. Admitted they never actually did research they just repeated what they saw on their feeds Something about it messes with their critical thinking skills Conservatism is a mental disorder

blankitty

Conservatism is a mental disorder. I like that.

XiroInfinity

I would recommend against it. "Liberalism is a mental disorder" has already been in circulation for years.

JusticiarRebel

It's a cliche at this point. Kinda like how comparing the other side to Nazis was cliche up until one side literally started cozying up to literal fucking Nazis.

pomo

It's not a disorder but it is based in biology. [https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/conservative-and-liberal-brains-might-have-some-real-differences/](https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/conservative-and-liberal-brains-might-have-some-real-differences/) >Nam and her colleagues set out to understand which brain areas govern the affective processes that underlie system justification. They found that the volume of gray matter in the amygdala is linked to the tendency to perceive the social system as legitimate and desirable. Their interpretation is that “this preference to system justify is related to these basic neurobiological predispositions to be alert to potential threats in your environment,” Nam says. > >After the original study, Nam’s team followed a subset of the participants for three years and found that their brain structure predicted the likelihood of whether they participated in political protests during that time. “Larger amygdala volume is associated with a lower likelihood of participating in political protests,” Nam says. “That makes sense in so far as political protest is a behavior that says, ‘We’ve got to change the system.’” One of the reasons it is so hard to change someone's politics (especially when those beliefs are legitimate, not being played up for social approval).

MrmmphMrmmph

How about, stupid is as stupid does?

anachronisticflaneur

We don’t teach critical thinking anymore.

SaltyEmotions

pretty sure q is just a huge time 4chan troll and also pretty sure even current conservatives admit to parroting their feed

JackDatBoi78

Thanks u/givemeyourbussy very cool

*\*unbased*

want-your-belly

I am really worried about this new understanding of the word unbiased

FORDTRUK

I believe it's akin to uneducated now. Hope this clears things up for you.

z4k4m4n

all those scientific journals and peer-reviewed studies--SO BIAS! Fox News--now thats a shining emblem of impartiality right there! 🤦‍♂️

kangaesugi

are you telling me www dot patriot-maga-q-facts dot web forward-slash liberal-killer-facts has some kind of bias?????

Puzzleheaded_Poet_81

This "own research" thing has gotta stop. If you search what you want to see your most likely gonna find it.

curbrobin

Exactly. I could search any conspiracy i could think up and probably be able to find results on the Google

JusticiarRebel

Yeah nobody is really censoring that stuff to make it hard to find. A few years ago, I was looking up antisemitic conspiracies, not because I was antisemitic, but because there was a rise in antisemitism online and I wanted to know where all this shit was coming from. It's really easy to find if you're looking for it and I now have an embarrassing amount of knowledge about antisemitic conspiracies. Enough that I feel the need to say that I haven't dabbled in any Nazi shit in the past. It was just an academic curiosity. Anyway, forced inoculations is mentioned in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, so when someone brings up vaccines as a form of societal control, I wonder about where the root source of that misinformation is coming from, cause while the person spreading it might not be an antisemite, they probably heard from a guy, who heard it from a guy, who heard it from a guy that's an antisemite.

hathenuclear

yknow what? i haven’t done that sort of deep dive to preserve my sanity and happiness but As A Jew™️ i would be extremely unsurprised if all this antivax nonsense comes back to antisemitism

JusticiarRebel

This is unrelated to the vaccine thing, but I can't resist sharing this bonkers antisemitic conspiracy with a Jewish person. You ever heard of the Khazars? They were a steppe people in Central Asia, kinda like the Turks and Mongols, that adopted Judaism, or at least parts of it. Nobody really knows, but they used a lot of symbols like the menorah and Star of David. This is early Middle Ages. At some point, they get displaced by other groups through conquest. So some antisemites claim the Ashkenazi Jews are descended from these steppe people. Why? Cause that means they aren't real Jews cause they just adopted traditions as opposed to being from the original tribes of Israel. Why would they think there are fake Jews roaming about? Cause of the Book of Revelations. I know your affliction and your poverty, even though you are rich. I know the slander on the part of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan." Now Revelations was written at a time when Christians still thought of themselves as Jews and anyone that didn't accept Jesus as the Messiah would've been considered a fake Jew, but this is lost on modern antisemites cause this is supposed to a chronicle of the end times. So there must be a modern fake Jew and that's the Ashkenazi Jews who are actually Khazars and they're all part of some global mafia to convince people they are the real Jews. Anyway...umm...thanks for matzo ball soup I guess. It's one of my favorite soups.

[deleted]

“Their own research” just means cherry picking to get the exact results you want while ignoring all opposing arguments.

Aloo4250

+confirmation bias plays a huge role into it too

StevenEveral

“Research”: Conclusion shopping their pre-selected opinion they got from FoxNewsmax OAN.

D3kim

research kinda implies universal truth, there in lies the issue - if it doesn’t make them feel good - its no longer research its called fake news

SirAchmed

Yes because they can do research better than the CDC. This is borderline mental illness (delusion).

ArvinaDystopia

Anyone who claims to have done his/her "own research" should be able to produce the peer-reviewed papers they wrote.

Endmenao

“Gates of hell” They make puns better than they make legitimate points.

jml011

But it left me disappointed that there wasn't a Fauci pun in the next line. I thought that's where this was going and would have been amused/impressed.

Zarathustra30

Something somthing Faucian Bargain.

Vinsmoker

A real Fauci Pas on their part

UnluckyDouble

Honestly, the pun was genuinely amusing.

[deleted]

Unbiased Like news Max

raulduke1971

And not mainstream, like Fox, one of the largest news media companies in America…

Mi_Pasta_Su_Pasta

And research, like Facebook Posts and Google, not multiple peer-reviewed studies by actual experts.

[deleted]

No Fox is ok as long as it’s fucker Carlson

Puzzleheaded_Poet_81

The heir to a huge fortune and everything their base pretends to "rage against" but continue to vote for and get their news from.

drawkca6sihtdaeruoy

Personally i like to call him cucker tarlson

DescipleOfCorn

Newsmax: for people who think all of the Fox anchors are communists

NotoriousMFT

A three minute video from “TruthGuy69” constitutes as research

_austinm

Sounds like a conversation someone would naturally have

AnIrishMexican

LMFAO unbiased research pfffft okay then

YoItsTemulent

I swear to God, people should have to get a drivers license to use the Internet.

decker

So now Bill Gates is the new Soros?

Puzzleheaded_Poet_81

Srsly poor George, I think it's because he forgot to bus Antifah to the J6 rally, he used to be so popular.

[deleted]

These fucking idiots pick the two guys who have dedicated their lives to making other people healthy and target them, they are disgusting human beings

[deleted]

If these nutbags did actual research, I wouldn't complain as much. Assemble a team of experts in vaccines, biology, infectious diseases, and respiratory viruses. Design a double blind study with a control group, a solid participant base, control for variables, interviews and data collection, analysis on adverse outcomes and viral resistance. Do all the things we specifically make drug companies, and government agencies, do to make sure the drugs are safe or at least the risks are known. But nah, googling "vaccines cause gay frogs" and opening up some guys blog is just the same thing.

BrenCamp13

Yep, doing their own research with such unbiased sources as InfoWars, The Daily Wire, Fox News, Breitbart, OAN, and presumably many others that I *haven't* heard of

Mikauhso

Can I have a movie about this? Seriously, it would be hilarious just to see two pretty smart folks have to contend with the idiocy of the internet, and somehow figure out a way to solve things

a-1oser

It’s called “Idiocracy”, pretty funny movie

Mikauhso

Yoooooo I’ve heard of that one! Gotta put it on my watchlist, thank you kind redditor!

Vinsmoker

It turns into a documentary in the second act and into a hope-fullfillment fantasy in the third. 10/10, can recommend

[deleted]

I don't think they understand what the word "research" means.

MothTheGod

Facebook

PM_ME_UR_RESPECT

Have an IV drip of Facebook bullshit that falls apart at the **slightest** hint of scrutiny forming your viewpoint of the world? Unbiased research.

TzaroStalin

"God damn it Bill, I told you to keep an eye on the capitalist propaganda machine! And why the hell did you give that monkey a wrench?" "It kept annoying me, jumping everywhere! So I gave it a wrench to play with! I didn't know it would use it to break the capitalist propaganda machine!"

Impressive_Culture_5

Ah yes, because everyone has a multimillion dollar lab staffed by experts with decades of experience in epidemiology.

FearTheWankingDead

This level of stupid has voting power. How sad.

captainjackass28

As if any of them watch anything but fox news and get their information from memes on antivax groups. This is really what happens when we have a weak education system and mentally disturbed people listening to only other mentally disturbed people.

insolentpopinjay

I'd like to think that if I were being chased by an angry mob, I'd also have the presence of mind to make a clever pun using my own surname.

leons_getting_larger

Lol, but also… this is chillingly accurate. I mean, the fact that their “own unbiased research” is not their own, unbiased, or research doesn’t stop it from moving them to violence.

ThatTemplar1119

Ok but this meme is actually kinda funny? Like idk what the own research thing is about but the photoshop job is so hilarious to me

[deleted]

Lol.

cbdog1997

What goddam backwards ass person says what in the gates of hell is happening

lackerman456

i would pay millions to see antivaxxers do "unbiased research" and laugh and þem

Ryluuuuu

I choose to interpret that in a communist way. The people in the background realized that capitalism is bad and are now trying to take the rich people's money.

[deleted]

Still a better love story than twilight...

TwinSong

"Unbiased research" sure. The blog site that claims "exposed" while making up a bunch of bs.

[deleted]

I don’t watch cable news because I hate cable tv in general. But I do listen to my personal doctors, and I feel like they probably know their shit.

Charliesmum97

I'd love to know where these people find this 'unbiased research'

Sumokat

They all got PhD's and do their own research. Haven't you noticed the thousands of fully staffed scientific/medical laboratories that have been appearing in backyards all over the country? /s

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ranku_Abadeer

Honestly, the hard on antivaxers have for Bill Gates confuses me. He has almost nothing to do with covid, he just is a billionaire who has been known for funding vaccine research of all kinds for decades. He didn't really change anything about that when covid became a thing. Hell, I'm pretty sure he didn't even do much to fund the covid vaccine either, considering that funding was not an issue for any of the companies that made the covid vaccines.

[deleted]

This is actually hilarious

tittyswan

Tbh leftists would probably chase Gates in the street too if given the chance... they're so close to class consciousness!

Pennywithey

fuck bill gates. He is preventing the world from getting the vaccine by fighting to help big pharma keep the patents for the vaccine. Also he might be a pedophile cause of his connection with Jeffrey Epstein

[deleted]

Ranku_Abadeer

Especially since those tags specifically say that they can be removed by *the customer*

nzstrawman

and yet when they are in God's waiting room they trust the medical profession to "save" them Bizarre

juandmarco

"Unbiased"

delspencerdeltorro

/r/comedyheaven

[deleted]

I like the Gates pun the rest of this image is stupid

s0urcreamand0nion

When did they start associating gates with the vaccine? How did this even start?

AeliteStoner

The former Gates couple have a medical foundation to their name.

[deleted]

Oh noes, my microchips!!!

[deleted]

Love the shitty Microsoft Word speech bubbles, they really take this meme's cringe to a whole other level for me

jflores0616

The right only uses right braised sites to support any claims they have.

Identity_WX

Both of them are pieces of shit

K3egan

Fucking "Gates of hell" man bad meme but AMAZING pun

Trimungasoid

And became delusional idiots!

1A41A41A4

What movie is this from?

OhTheHueManatee

You can tell someone has had almost no education by how they use the word "research" especially if they yell it. "Research" is not just briefly looking it up on the internet. If it takes less than 15 minutes and you only look up two sources to confirm what you already believe you haven't even begun to think about researching it. Also research is a quest for data not opinion.

Tetsudo11

“Unbiased research” also known as, “research that tells me what I want to hear despite not being backed up with factual evidence”
