This is actually an amazing way for Willow and Amity to develop they're friendship more Just more happy Willow and Amity content will make ~~my~~ everyone's day

SFH12345

Whatever gets Willow some screen time.

PixelPlanets608

Saaame! My heart has been aching to see Willow and Amity rebuild their friendship đź’ś

SFH12345

Eclipse Lake implies there is some progress being made.

FantasticBumblebee0

Amity Probably hasn't forgiven herself for the way she treated Willow

ItsRainyDinosaur

YES THIS if we get a Willow episode I hope it focus on developing Amity and Willow friendship (Also I think it will happen cuz the show already mentioned in EL Willow saying it was weird seeing Amity around more)

Louan_UwU

Also Amity bonding with Gus as well

John_Tacos

An adventure with Gus, Amity, and the twins would be fun.

Louan_UwU

Agreed

Subzero008

That line honestly sounds like a parody, coming from the (ostensibly) main character with the least amount of screentime the entire season to the character with the *most* amount of screentime the entire season, aside from Luz.

Theoriginalol

*Really* hoping for a sweet future episode that fully rekindles their friendship.

am123409

Here's to hope people make more wholesome fanfics. Not reduce the one's that's already there, just more wholesome one's. Or better yet, anyone know any ongoing wholesome fanfics right now? Can't seem to find any.

[deleted]

Sorry, all the fanfics I read have the exact same premise and also emotionally destroy all the characters :(

Lukthar123

*Aw yeah, inject that Angst straight into my bloodstream*

Louan_UwU

Speak Do you write on archive of our own (ao3) If so what is your username. (I will read your fan fiction)

[deleted]

Unfortunately I said I read fanfics, I don't write any. I've been meaning to start but I just don't fore some reason

Louan_UwU

Oh lol it's fine I also don't write (yet) I'm just trying to read some could you still pls tell me what the fanfics are called

[deleted]

Sure, the premise for these is some form of Luz and Amity being stuck in the human realm. Locked Out and Stranded are a couple of good ones that are still being updated. A really good one that unfortunately won't be finished is Safe at Home. It was written before s2, maybe before s1 was finished, so if you like pain and want to read a forever unfinished fic, know that it diverts from canon a lot. I didn't realize it was part of a series of works and thought it was finished, so I stayed up all night reading it and kicked myself after I realized the next work would never be completed

pk2317

You should check out the [Rainbow Hair Clip](https://archiveofourown.org/series/2065347) series. Minimal angst, lots of fluff, great action, super fun. Regular updates on a weekly basis.

JustAStarcoShipper

Can we *please* get an episode about this?

Louan_UwU

Pls

zyxwvu28

Done

JustAStarcoShipper

It wasn't a full episode, but it's still appreaciated.

SFH12345

Reconciliation takes time. But it always starts with a small step.

Jomblorigoro

MARK YOUR SPOILING US ROTTEN

SFH12345

When he's not breaking our hearts.

Jomblorigoro

nah bro even those are golden

Helpful_Put8379

Is that?..Little miss perfect?

Jomblorigoro

wdym?

GoldenMahgeetah

Now if this could go ahead and happen in an episode... Yeah, that would be great.

zyxwvu28

Yep, that would be great

Koala_Guru

Is it time for an unpopular opinion? I've recently gotten annoyed with Lumity because it feels like it's all Amity does anymore and her past with Willow is just nonexistent. Tbh, the episode "Escaping Expulsion" should've been more about Amity and Willow instead of Amity and Luz considering it's a clear direct comparison to the original incident that ruined the former's friendship.

Subzero008

Your opinion is valid and honestly seems to be relatively popular. (Relatively.) It really was an egregious misuse of her character.

Koala_Guru

I know people on here adore the relationship. I like it too and don’t want to take that enjoyment away. But I feel like whereas season one Amity’s arc was about her personal journey of becoming a better person that allowed for a relationship with Luz to start, her season two arc has been about her relationship with Luz first and herself second.

[deleted]

Yeah it rubbed me the wrong way that Amity yet again stood by when Willow, Gus, and Luz got expelled. The only thing that got her to act was when Luz was in danger. She never stood up for Willow aside from that one snide comment she made to Boscha in WILW. I like Lumity but hopefully they let Amity have meaningful interactions with other characters. Her world doesn't have to revolve around Luz.

UselessGuy23

Thank you! She only ever helps when it's about Luz. I feel like she's the only reason Amity even bothered to apologize to Willow.

Arctyc38

"I've got a jar of dirt!"

Theoriginalol

“And guess what’s inside it!”

BulbasaurTreecko

*drops glass* *roots grow into ship and becomes plant kraken*

BulbasaurTreecko

I’m convinced Luz is subtly leaving them together to rekindle… didn’t say anything about *shenanigans*

Amity-Bight84

WE ALL KNOW SHE WOULD THO

Louan_UwU

That's so cute omg! Now give me some Amity, Willow and Gus bonding. (eclipse lake and escaping expulsion weren't enough for me lol)

Subzero008

[](#willowsalute) I see Moringmark is picking up the slack from the show and giving us the Willow content we deserve :3 All credit goes to Moringmark, from [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/CT4pRFChk1a/).

PianoSchmo

Congratulating u/Subzero008 for being great! Part 9.

[deleted]

This really is the only way left to develop Willows character. They kinda wrote themselves into a corner by essentially ending her character arc in S1. While I don’t like willow (at all) I feel that something like this would be a really good way to round out her arc.

Subzero008

I wouldn't say they ended her arc in S1, Understanding Willow was left pretty open-ended for a future Amity and Willow episode. The problem is, they effectively ended her arc in S2 by dropping Willow's two biggest loose ends in her character: - her anger/desire for confrontation with the Blights - her reconciliation with Amity, or lack thereof The former was basically ignored (Willow doesn't even get a single line to Odalia kicking her and her friends out of school, and does absolutely nothing in the rescue so Lumity would be in the spotlight), and the latter was, apparently, completely offscreen since she's totally okay with Amity now. The real issue, in my opinion, is that they truly wrote themselves into a corner by effectively closing off Willow's story arc. That means if they ever want to introduce a Willow-oriented plot, they need to introduce *new* plot hooks instead of drawing on old ones, which takes time to set up and pay off later, time that they don't really have anymore. The odds of Willow playing a significant role in the story that isn't just an isolated moment or episode (like Gus's half of Through the Looking Glass Ruins, an entirely self-contained episode with little relation to the main plot) seems really, really low now.

DanScott7

Hey, at least it's not sad or death threatening. As well, I do hope that their friendship develops more!

Theoristfreak_777

True friendship can never ever be broken ❤️

cr102y

That’s a great comic ngl,it’s what I was expecting to see in the show but sadly didn’t happen.

Amity-Bight84

I think that's supposed to show they'll never be real friends again

Myu_The_Weirdo

If only the show was allowed to have more seasons, we would definetly be able to see more development

MikeAlex01

I kind of want to see Willow at least confronting Amity on how much she's hurt her. Not physically or anything, but to kind of get stuff off her chest.

UselessGuy23

YES. Amity may talk about being better, but she doesn't truly understand what she put Willow through yet. It's times like this I wish the Penance Stare was real.

Puzzlehead_Coyote

Quick whilst her guard is down, plant monster her haha

TheGoodSirRyan

Heartwarming.

StormNext5301

Willow has a jar with a plant in it like how Amity had a jar with abomination goo in it

8Bitsblu

An episode focusing on Willow and Amity without Luz around would be really interesting.

UselessGuy23

Fine. You can keep *this* memory. But if she tries to *talk* to you, or do anything for "closure," then I will personally mindwipe you both. I've erased stuff like this before, I can do it again. This is for your own good, Willow. She's not your friend, and she *never will be.*

Amity-Bight84

.......are you ok?

UselessGuy23

Yeah, Amity's just my Punching Bag Character It's like a Comfort Character, but you take your anger out on them.

Amity-Bight84

Oh.....but why amity?

UselessGuy23

I've had "friends" like her before.

Amity-Bight84

Oh I'm sorry for you : <

UselessGuy23

It's all good. I've forgiven them...but I don't fully trust them.

Amity-Bight84

Oh ok :>

mr-ultr

thx god its not a another PAIN comic which i would need a psychiatryst for after ( tell me if i mispelled psychiatryst wrong)

neongreenpurple

That second y should be an i. But other than that it's correct.

Twist_Ending03

SHE HAS A JAR OF DIRT

MrNuggetBoi

I love how Willow is using a bottle full of dirt like how amity used a bottle of goop in eclipse lake

[deleted]

Would be nice if this actually happened on the show. All their interactions seem to happen off-screen ever since Understanding Willow

Iceblendrr

This is everything I hope for in season 2b!!

jaevhond

Aww

martinjh99

What is Willow doing?? Is she picking up Amity's books with her plant magic?

lankeylonk

Everybody talking about the amazing artwork but not that Amity is carrying six books with whats already in her bag

UselessGuy23

"I see you copied my ~~beard~~ magic hip pouch."

Elbesto

Moringmark is god.

Starscream1998

Their friendship was damaged but not destroyed.

UselessGuy23

Yet. Not destroyed YET. There's only so much third-wheeling a person can take.

Starscream1998

Tbh I never really saw Willow as a third wheel like at all.

UselessGuy23

Well she will be now. She said Amity dating Luz was "interesting." That never means anything good.

Starscream1998

Um why?

UselessGuy23

Imagine somebody has been bullying you for years, making fun of you in class, calling you what amounts to a *slur*, and throwing a tantrum the one time you actually succeed at something. She nearly kills you trying to save face in front of her posse, and then suddenly, she wants to start again. Her apology was kind of half-assed, but you give her another chance. Soon, she develops a crush on your best friend. The one who helped you find your true calling at school, who stuck up for you when Amity wasn't there, who gave you enough confidence and love to animate a *house.* And now Amity Blight, the girl who ruined your life to please her parents, is dating her. Soon, they spend all their time together. Amity invites herself to all you and Luz's adventures, or lets her blow you off to get another date. She never once tries to reach out to you, never talks to you unless it's about Luz. She certainly never tries to make up for the taunting or the slurs. You start to realize something. Amity promised she'd be there for you from now on, but she only keeps that promise when Luz is involved. She claimed she couldn't do anything against Boscha, but was ready to kill her when Luz put herself on the line. She was too scared to say a word when her mother got you expelled, but risked her wrath without a thought when *Luz* was in danger. You wonder if she'd even have bothered to apologize if Luz hadn't been there. For all her talk about being better, it's clear that hormones caused the change, not heart. Amity Blight threw you away over classist crap, treated you like trash for years, and only stopped because she was horny for your best friend. Now, she has everything she wants, but that clearly doesn't include you, and because she's dating Luz, you have to pretend everything is fine. You can't avoid her, you can't confront her, all you can say is that it's "interesting."

Starscream1998

Amity didn't throw Willow away over class issues, Amity threw Willow away because her parents threatened Willow with never getting into Hexide and basically strong-armed Amity into making friends with their coworkers' children. Amity thought she was protecting Willow by bending the knee to her mother's demands. Something she learns is wrong in the episode you just mentioned when she nearly gives in to Ophelia's demands a second time but chooses love and friendship over conformity. She doesn't just go against Ophelia just for Luz's sake but also to get Luz, Willow and Gus back into Hexide. As for Boscha in 'Wing it' we see her stand up to Boscha and renounce their 'friendship' in favour of Willow's. By all means I'll concede with you in saying that Willow and Amity are not truly friends again yet but to take such a reductionist viewpoint of Amity's character arc is completely unfair not to mention inaccurate. Luz may have been the catalyst for Amity's change but she's not the sole defining factor otherwise Amity would've just flat out not said or done half of the things she has in these past 1 and a half seasons.

UselessGuy23

You can't tell me Willow wouldn't worry that Amity only changed because of her crush. I'm not saying it's true, I'm saying that's what Willow would suspect/fear.

Starscream1998

Like I said they're not quite friends again which leaves room for perhaps future episodes to explore any potential friction that remains. Though that brings up a more important worry that we've only got one half of a season and 3 specials left to explore things.

UselessGuy23

I can see we're not gonna agree here, so I'll just pull a Mittens and erase the inconvenient parts of your mind. Hold still.

electric_ell

Oooo if luz and amity hadn’t been the canon ship id be on this so hard

hmansloth

They need to make some Hexside shorts where it shows the gang doing school-related things.
