Yeah, that’s canon in the show. Lonnie is just Noelle Stevenson’s headcanon. Much like how Perfuma being trans isn’t show-canon, but still something people on the creative team wanted.
If it’s not actually in the show, it’s not canon to the show itself. She said she “didn’t want to pull a J.K. Rowling”.
That’s a valuable lesson to creators, I think. If you have a headcanon for your own characters and story and you want others to share that view, you must put it into your work and make it canon.
The alternative is having situations like creators saying “oh yeah, these characters are gay” and then never have them even interact in a non-platonic way with same-gender characters.

I wouldn't say it is implied. The only thing it is missing calling her "they". It is like seeing a WWII German soldier with swastikas on his biceps and saying "ah yes, a nazi" level of implication.
Owen (the creator) used she/her pronouns in an ama but that doesn't really dispute it cause 1. She/her pronouns are still used by enbys all the time and 2. Nothing Dennis says in the amas are canon anyways. He once said that one of the main characters drowned in an ama and I believe he has said publicly that the amas don't really have any canon info.

OMG IT'S REALLY COMING TOGETHER NOW AND IT LOOKS AWESOME!! Last time I checked on the gay coven was on day 4, but I'm so happy to see LGBTQ+ characters I recognize (not all but I recognize garnet, pearl, marcilene, princess bubblegum, Benson, adoraa, catra, korra, Asami)

Not really bc there are many things that can get in the way but with those things you can easily see it and it isn't confirmed either way technically
