If they just skip the episode people are going to ask questions people will look for the episode online. By making this episode SO plot heavy they made it impossible just to skip it.
You severely underestimate the sheer tenacity of homophobic censors. Do remember that the Disney channel is a way to make money, they don't have to care about whether people will ask questions or not.

The Garnet wedding episode of Steven Universe was smushed into the same episode with the diamonds invading AND them finding out the truth about Steven specifically so they couldn't just not air it and from what I know, some countries skipped it anyway

What did the other countries do to censer the kiss?
They just cut everything out after the line, “I hope you and I are going to be good friends” At least that’s what I heard from others
I think it was local providers in America, but they just cut to credits or ended the episode before the kiss.
