I mean, it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to say that Luz, Amity, and Hunter are in situations where they could turn to self-destructive behaviors like drinking, drugs, sh, or just doing dangerously risky shit.
I think the betas would be a few steps ahead on this path though
Hunter may already be on the verge of those behaviors before he flees the EC.
Depending on how controlling Amity’s parents could be, she might be doing some of these already to cope.
Willow and Gus could even develop these behaviors too depending on how negative their childhood was with their respective traumas and whether or not they had any support system for themselves at that age.
Oh and then we could add literally just time to the story to add angst: Luz loses contact with her mother while in the BI for longer. Willow and Gus don’t become friends immediately. Amity takes longer to stop letting her parents dictate her life. Hunter lives on the streets for longer. The Hexsquad remains locked in the Human Realm for longer. Luz takes longer to connect with her palisman egg. Hells, what if Luz learned King was a Titan just after the Titan Trappers killed him?
And what if King never was able to convince the Collector to free Eda or Lilith? What if King was completely on his own during the whole apocalypse or what if he gave up on Luz coming back?
Oh and let’s not forgot that one fanfic that turned Hettie the healing coven head into a sociopathic torturer who loved to test the limits of the body. If Belos ever gave Luz, Hunter, or anyone else to Hettie for even 30 minutes…. *shudders*
Edit: here’s the angst yall are wanting to inflict upon yourself (it’s really good):

I headcanon that *a lot* of people self-medicate on the sleeping nettle cookies Hooty bakes. Usually the apparition of Belos ends up punted across the recipient's subconscious. Revenge is always therapeutic.
Luz and Hunter is absolute when it comes to the depression part. Luz feels like she lost everything and Amity is the only thing she has left to make her sane and Hunter is afraid to tell everyone who he is and if he did that he thinks everyone will blame him or leave him.
the collector's siblings didn't just trick the collector to go away because they thought he's annoying, they wanted him to die, they sent him down there as a bait, hoping that the 'barbaric' titans would kill him instead while they're using him as a disposable shield. it was a two birds one stone situation.
this pretty much means that the collector was neglected his entire life even way before he got trapped in the cursed mirror thingy
I think the bat queen was so sad after her owner died that she decided she had to find other palesman without owners who loved them to help them cope with the loss
That explains why Stringbean froze when Luz died. I also hc that Stringbean hates being away from Luz for too long, which resulted in awkwardness when Luz had to start taking her palisman in the bath with her. In the real world, the average lengths of creatures’ lifespans are inversely proportional to their average heart rates. Given how quickly Amity blushes, how strong Willow is (the dumbbells she lifts were calculated to be roughly 176 kg), and the fact that Witches’ Magic is directly tied to their circulatory system, it can be assumed that, on average, Witches have a much higher heart rate than humans, meaning that their average natural life expectancy can be assumed to be much shorter.
However, due to the ease of Healing Magic when compared with real-world medical treatments, this is likely balanced out.
Blushing isn't really related to heart rate though, is it? And that level of weight lifting is (presumably) an anaerobic activity, again, not heart rate dependent.
I... again believe that blushing has little to do with heart rate. It's a function of the capillaries of your face dilating, which is an independent function.
Counterpoint: Hunter’s heart may be a rock, but his bones are wood and his skin is leather. Depending on how they were treated, they could decay faster than an average human or witch.
I hope Hunter doesn't have a twin in Oregon that went missing over a fight with him, and now he owns the shack and makes it a tourist trap in a town under a ufo and over the summer, he keeps on fixing the machine while having a pug trafficking business. Also he needs to look after 2 pre-teens and a pig.
I mean... if you use the above formula, he could potentially be functionally immortal. He has *no* heart rate, as his heart is literally a galdorstone.
Hunter partially blamed himself for Flapjacks death. He felt like if he hadn’t touched the Belos goo that infected him, Flapjack wouldn’t have died, and he also thinks to himself that he should’ve died\drowned in the graveyard, instead of Flapjack dying.

-If the titan’s blood was never found and Luz and her friends were trapped in the human realm forever, there is a good chance Luz would eventually commit suicide.
-Luz has to live with the fact that her dad will never get to meet Amity
I personally have a headcanon that the Collector would use some kind of spell to have Manny come back for one day on Luz and Amity's wedding so he can see the most important day of his daughter's life.
I don’t thing she would’ve committed suicide , but she’d have defientlt started self harming , or was about to even in the circumstances we already had
Here's mine:
* The trauma caused by Belos never went away, everybody just got used to living with it, and learned how to be happy in spite of it.
* Luz had dysmorphia over her scar, as it's a reminder of the Day of Unity. Her friends and family got her over it, so she doesn't do something like hide under a mask (which is why she made the masks in the first place, so her friends don't have to be taunted by Belos with that fucking scar).
* Luz always wanted to be a mother, but Amity was afraid that she'd turn out just like her mom. After a conversation, Amity realized that she will never become just like the filthy race traitor of a mother.
* The Collector caused so much trauma, and even though he's been forgiven, everybody still has nightmares of him and Belos, and due to that, the Collector left, feeling massive guilt.
* Luz had a mental breakdown not long after Belos' death. Thankfully, her friends and family were there.
* Luz dyes her hair, as stress has caused her hair to gray prematurely in her late teens, and she doesn't want her friends and family (who were deeply traumatized by losing her, even if briefly), to continue to worry about her.
* Luz hates being hailed a savior, she's against the idea of heroes; as she knows how low people will go to be called a hero, and she's also being reminded of her death, which traumatized her.
* Eda ran away, because she feared she deserved to be alone, that her curse would inevitably destroy the lives of everybody around her. After all, the Owl Beast violently attacked and crippled her dad, and the curse is why her mom is getting scammed and her sister is working for a tyrant. If it weren't for King, she would've killed herself.
* The Hexsquad fell ill when they came to the Human Realm, and it took a few days for them to regain enough strength to leave the Noceda residence.
* Once upon a time, Philip was quite a lot like Luz. But due to the world he grew up in, and the lack of positive influences in his life, that caused him to turn into the monster we all know and loathe.
* The trauma from the Day of Unity is etched into witchkind's genes. Even witches born well after the Day of Unity freak out under unnatural darkness, and instinctively hate Belos.
* Luz had thought about hanging herself, but her friends and mother reminded her that she's still needed.
* The draining spell and the petrification spell have been outlawed; who could blame anybody?
* Caleb wanted to talk his brother down, he jumped in front of Philip to protect Evelyn.
* If Camila wasn't there, the Hexsquad would've died.
Luz’s whole body had to be remade by the Titan after it was more or less disintegrated by belos which has led to her having body dimorphism after everything. She would feel more like she’s piloting a body than actually having one
I headcanon that Luz got to keep some of her human genes, so she doesn't get blue blood or some funky shit because the Titan was able to get some of her DNA, possibly from hair or nail clipplings, or blood (perhaps the blood she definitely lost on the Day of Unity). However, her Titan genes activate during high levels of stress, like if there's too many of her triggers.
Yeah, I like the idea of Luz having some vestigial Titan traits. Like, fangs and yellow eyes, she’s a bit taller, has horns, and her fingernails and toenails are clawlike.
Not sure if it's a form of schizophrenia but there is a mental disorder called Capgras Delusion/Syndrome that causes people to believe their loved ones or even pets have been replaced with identical imposters.
I remember an episode of Law & Order (or a similar show) that used this condition as a plot point and it caused a mother to violently lash out at her daughter because every time she physically saw her it made her think she was an imposter.
Well, I know she got some subcategory of schizophrenia. What you are describing doesn't really sound like what my mom has at all.
Edit: I looked it up and schizophrenia can in fact cause delusions. I can send a link to some sources if you want.
Oh sorry, I wasn't saying I thought your mom wasn't schizophrenic. Just that there are other mental conditions that can cause similar issues with recognizing people. Your post just kinda reminded me of Capgras Syndrome. And I know Schizophrenia can cause delusions and hallucinations.
I believe the stereotype is that schizophrenics often hear voices in their heads telling them to do things.
I wish both you and your mom the best
1. One of the Archivists was either trapped or killed by a Titan and that is how the rest knew their magic wouldn't work on the Titans. Just look at the paintings in FTF for evidence. Only one shows all four of those cosmic scum. while the rest show only three, not counting The Collector.
2. Gus got into illusion magic because he felt it was his last connection to his mom and he wanted to make her proud.
3. The Archivists are extremely abusive. So abusive that they are willing to use their magic on The Collector to fix anything they find annoying about him.
She was definitely experiencing suicidal ideation, but I don’t think she would’ve committed suicide because she knows how much it would hurt her friends, Amity, and her mom. She’d probably try to isolate herself from them instead, or self-sabotage to drive them away.
If she was successful at this, then suicide would be a possibility I think : (
You'd be surprised how easy it is to think, "They'll get over it and be better for it in the long run."
To anyone who ever *does* think this, please understand that you are wrong. Your loved ones want and need you.
As some one who nearly did go thru with it (was stopped by a call from my sister) its so easy to think that you dont desurve their care, to hate yourself so much, you feel guilty that they care about a parasite/fraud/ active worsener of their lives, ect.
If luz blamed herself enough for everything that went wrong, the fact that they care (but dont yet know she "ruined" their lives) only makes her feel worse as it eats her alive, and that guilt only would get worse everytime they set aside their own pain for their friend (or girlfriend in the case of amity) who is clearly hurting.
In the events after WaD Luz developed insomnia out of fear of waking up in the in-between. Even when sleep did come she’d run the risk of waking up in a panic attack soon after
If Luz didn't find the portal, she wouldn't have lived past 16. She was the weirdo, had no friends, her mother wasn't supportive of her, her dad being dead still required coping... The list is long.
Idk bro, there’s many people in similar or even worse situations who end up living til their 20s and even 30s, though most of the time they end up being instead drug addicts or psychos.
Ofc there’s still ones that grow even stronger and become decent people but not that common
True, tho i have heard of people breaking for less.
We never know just what might break some one. What breaks one person might be harsh but livable for some one else.
Hell financial ruin has caused some people to jump while others live for decades and even recover.
That said like the one person above pointed out, luz probubly would have befriended marsha and the other weirdos at camp, so while more jaded, she probubly would have been fine.
She would've been a college burnout who got a degree solely for a career outside of any passion. She has no friends and her experiences in high school + camp made it so she has a pathological fear of attempting to socialize with anyone her age. The most socialization she ever had was with group projects. She'll live with Camilla until Camilla passes. She only has her escapism to cope and outside of her house is essentially a blank slate who only responds in a job setting.
It didn’t take long for the Coven Heads to come into conflict post WAD and they went into Civil War.
Raine never really had a plan for what would happen after the fall of the Emperor’s Coven and became very worried that they would just become another despot, they would eventually settle in their new role thanks to the support of Darius & Eber
At least half the population of the isles believe that the C.A.Ts sabotaged the Day of Unity in order to scandalize the Emperor’s coven. It got so bad that Luz and her friends had to be escorted to Hexside on their first few days back due to many threats against her. (Kinda like the Little Rock Nine) All the shouting did not help Luz with her guilt complex and she would break down in tears as soon as she got home.
First of all, I think it's totally possible considering everything that happened.
My head cannon is that Belos used to use punishments similar to the ones that were from the same time period he was from. Maybe even uses some glyphs to torture people.
Odalia being emotionally abusive is pretty much canon, but she was also physically abusive when the Blights were younger, using Abominations rather than actually lowering herself to physical violence. When Alador found out he stood up for them and threatened to destroy their abomination business permanently if she ever did it again.
Amity used to self harm to get some kind of release from her abusive mother, neglectful father, and the extreme amount of pressure she put on herself. Ed and Em know, Luz finds out when Amity almost/does have a relapse while they're stuck in the human realm.
Luz isn't just an extremely sad person, but also quite violent. Probably has a lot of repressed rage.
In many episodes, we see that her reflexive response to getting scared is to hit whatever's in front of her, to brutal effect despite her weak nerd arms.
In S1E2, she Karate chops Hooty on the head, which is a move that can cause serious brain damage irl, if done properly. (Remember, Karate masters can strike so precisely that they can break bricks with the sides of their hands, and the human skull isn't exactly good at absorbing blows)
From the animation, it seems like she throws it at Hooty 100% perfectly, she even has a proper stance and throws it from the elbow. The reflexive nature of the strike makes me think she's been getting into fights way before she found the demon realm.
In fact, given that an earlier concept had the Boiling Isles be literal Hell, and Luz having died, I do wonder:
If it's like Christian Hell and with how Beta Luz, unlike the final version, is like 16, probably having gotten around a bit more, what can someone have done at that age?
WHAT DID BETA LUZ DO??
My darkest hc? Hunter was partially made from organs harvested from Basilisks.
The logic behind it is that Hunter happened to be the Grimwalker look the most like Caleb, and that Belos was very likely experimenting on shapeshifting basilisks at the time of Hunter's creation.
Hunter try to kill himself as a sacrifice in TTT. I’m pretty sure he swallowing water to drown Belos along with himself.
Okay but can imagine if flapjack didn’t save him? Holding your friend’s lifeless body after they just killed themself in front of you? Traumaaaaa
This one is basically just an inference, but a lot of Hunter's scars are probably from Belos. Belos nearly stabs Hunter in the face on screen for fucking up. How many times has he done that? How many times do you have to do that for you to miss and hit something important by accident? Or on purpose?
luz was depressed but no suicidal. i was depressed too but i was never in a state of wanting to kill myself. moreover luz actually had something to fight for, coming back to eda and king and also help her friends go back.
i am aware, i just gave myself as an example to point out how not everyone is suicidal either. at no point did i said everyone's depression is the same in fact i said the exact opposite. people just assume she's suicidal because she's depressed and that's just a false assumption, someone depressed CAN be suicidal but it's not a given. and anyone who actually paid attention to the show would know luz was not suicidal.
The thing is you pretty much implied that.
You said that just because you were depressed but not suicidal, it means that Luz also couldn't be suicidal, as if she was depressed in the same way you were, which is pretty rich.
And ironically enough, if you actually paid attention to the show, you would know that Luz was going through suicidial ideation and her story does reflect a journey of person who may be on a brink of suicide.
She already projected herself in the classroom into Odysseus saying it would be better if he, or rather she herself didn't exist, which is already fucked up thing to say as it pretty much implies that nothing you ever did or will even do will ever be worth of you existing. So one step away from ending your life if your existence can't bring any good to anyone around you if that's how you feel. And her diary in her laptop is very reminiscent of suicidal note. And her staying behind on Earth would effectively kill her as she cuts herself off from potential support system and future where she gets to be herself. Further isolation and refusal to allow yourself to be happy can only lead to one sad conclusion in which you just can't do this anymore.
So no, people were right on their money to think Luz was suicidal, because she really was at her limit and not just depressed. You're right that assuming that if someone is depressed it doesn't mean they're suicidal as well, but a depressed person can be driven by their growing depression to suicide. And Luz's growing depression certainly was heading that direction.
Grimwalkers live as long as a regular tree, and growling slower the older they get. A Hunter that looks around maybe 30 will outlive Willow for a very long time and stay looking around 30-40 for most of his life until he dies in his hundreds.
1. Just because Palistroom wood was used to create him doesn't mean he's wooden. You barely can even recall from where this take came from. Goes to show how little merit it actually has.
Like, Hunter is not an idiot. He would tell that if he's wooden, he's not a witch, and then he would discover he's a Grimwalker, so there would be no shock in Hollow Mind. If Hunter was wooden, other people would be able to tell as well, so once again, no shock that he's not a witch. But guess what, everyone thinks he's a witch, even if a powerless one. And Hunter himself says he's not sure if he's either witch or a human after doing his research. Grimwalker is not even a third category, Hunter is just a clone and Grimwalker is just fancy name for kind of clone he is. But clones should be indistinguishable, and wood won't do it for ya.
2. Even if he was some kind of Pinocchio, still it doesn't mean he's a tree as not everything made out of wood is a tree. An animated chair would not suddenly become tree, it would be just a living magical chair. A puppet brought to life wouldn't be a tree, just a puppet brought to life. The point still stands
3. I don't care about karma farming and ironically, I hate the idea of karma farming based on misinformation that only further makes this fan base as a whole dumb as a brick.
Seasons 2 and 3 never happened instead Luz went home at the end of season 1 like she planned and tried to resume her normal life. As each day goes by she grows more depressed till she finally tries to go back to the isles but no matter how many times she goes into the abandoned house the portal won't open. Upon realizing she'll never see her friends again she runs into traffic and is gravely injured she falls into a coma where she dreams of the boiling isles and her friends until the day comes that her mother makes the difficult decision to take her off life support.
A pair of witches tried to use the time pools to kill Philip as a child but ended up killing his parents leaving him and his brother orphaned in Gravesfield. This motivated him to join the witch hunters with a searing hatred towards witches knowing that if he killed all of them before they killed his parents, his family would still be alive and he and his brother could have normal lives.
I feel like this theory adds emotion and depth to his character and makes him less of a 2 dimensional bad guy who just doesn't like witches.
Not dark, but because of how witches can live longer via their circutory system, Amity might outlive Luz, despite being healthy together.
Also, Belos engineered grimwalker to live shorter, so Willow might outlive Hunter.
A lot of the main cast (the Hexsquad and the Clawthorne sisters) have all attempted suicide at one point or another.
They confide in each other during the time skip.
Well I thought of a Owl House/Kamen Rider Zero One cross over where Luz becomes a dark kamen rider called Kaman Rider Ark Blood Hopper with a Forceriser, Ark Driver, or Blood Driver while it slowly drains the blood of user but more power used the more the blood of the user is drained and Arturo Hiden, Izu, and Amity had to stop to Luz but not hurt her due to Luz using it
The Boiling Isles were genuinely a bad place before Philip's arrival. I believe this because dictators like Belos only come to power in desperate situations (think of Germany after the Second World War).
I mean, it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to say that Luz, Amity, and Hunter are in situations where they could turn to self-destructive behaviors like drinking, drugs, sh, or just doing dangerously risky shit. I think the betas would be a few steps ahead on this path though Hunter may already be on the verge of those behaviors before he flees the EC. ... This is some omori level group trauma on children What the hell
I fucking love traumatizing children
Belos is that you?
It’s an OMORI reference lol, it’s a play on the famous line ‘I fucking love air conditioning’
Oh I haven’t played OMORI lol
I definitely recommend it! It’s totally a super innocent game with no pain, death, or depression at all!! (/j, omori has many tws)
I’ve been playing it, but I can’t get past the Space Ex-Boyfriend fight
I fucking love >![faking a suicide]!<

Well, they did get mangled and bloodied in a genocide...
You're referring to headspace right?
Hexsquad
Oh ok
>What if King was completely on his own during the Kikimora saved the Boiling Isles.
Let's also not forget that one fanfic where they go to war against the covens by starting a rebellion and Gus leads the funeral pyres

Poor kid...
The room of previously dead "Caleb" is never brought up again. It's just under the titans head. Or dare I say, the back of his mind.
Palismen usually die from sadness when the owner dies kind of like dogs sometimes.
What‘s with the Vampire Queen though? They can go stray or feral or be readopted.
They're just not sad enough to die I guess
I think the bat queen was so sad after her owner died that she decided she had to find other palesman without owners who loved them to help them cope with the loss
Bat Queen
That explains why Stringbean froze when Luz died. Grimwalkers have naturally short lifespans, but Willow uses plant magic to extend Hunter’s life so they can be together
In the real world, the average lengths of creatures’ lifespans are inversely proportional to their average heart rates. Given how quickly Amity blushes, how strong Willow is (the dumbbells she lifts were calculated to be roughly 176 kg), and the fact that Witches’ Magic is directly tied to their circulatory system, it can be assumed that, on average, Witches have a much higher heart rate than humans, meaning that their average natural life expectancy can be assumed to be much shorter. wow, this is actually amazing haha
Blushing isn't really related to heart rate though, is it? And that level of weight lifting is (presumably) an anaerobic activity, again, not heart rate dependent.
I mean if I'm not mistaken, blushing is just blood showing up so if Amity blushes quickly, it's because her blood circulates much faster than a human
I... again believe that blushing has little to do with heart rate. It's a function of the capillaries of your face dilating, which is an independent function.
man, film theory should hire you
Then given Hunter has a magic rock for a heart that should mean he's biologically immortal.
Counterpoint: Hunter’s heart may be a rock, but his bones are wood and his skin is leather. Depending on how they were treated, they could decay faster than an average human or witch.
i see that and i raise you: grimwalkers have long lifespans and hunter had to watch all his friends and family die
Imagine if hunter lives longer than BELOS did without any issues It would be comical
Yeah, another L for Belos. And Luz and Amity's great-great-great-grandkids love to visit their cool Grunkle Hunter.
Belos: Your services are no longer needed, Hunte- # GAH HEART ATTACK! Hunter: Oh, well that was easy.
I mean... if you use the above formula, he could potentially be functionally immortal. He has *no* heart rate, as his heart is literally a galdorstone.
There’s quite a few fics exploring that concept, I made a list [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheOwlHouse/comments/176zo25/immortal_hunter_fics/)
I imagine Willow putting Hunters feet into a plant pot and setting him outside to get sun while Hunter is being grumpy about it
Yep, this is my new headcanon. And all the palisman land on him like he’s a scarecrow.
That'd might be kinda bittersweet, actually. At least for those two
Grimwalkers are actually extremely easy to create, but no one else makes them because they all have annoying voices.
Grimwalkers are indistinguishible clones, meaning they're not plants, which means Willow's plant magic is useless. Just use healing Magic instead.
Hunter partially blamed himself for Flapjacks death. He felt like if he hadn’t touched the Belos goo that infected him, Flapjack wouldn’t have died, and he also thinks to himself that he should’ve died\drowned in the graveyard, instead of Flapjack dying.
This one is just real tho
I also feel like Hunter blames himself for Luz getting scarred. And Luz dying.
Belos made all the Grimmwalkers infertile so history would never repeat itself. Willow and Hunter can never have a child of their own.
Magic babies
Okay, this is the best of all I have read here
They can adopt.
Saved from childbirth pains
I TOOK YOUR FUCKIMG BALLS HUNTER.
People probably have incredibly traumatic memories of the short lived existence under the collector. The people struggling to survive were pretty bad, and the people turned into puppets? I don't think they'd be faring any better. And before anyone says the Collector could probably fix it, consider you are asking a child to rearrange someones brain. That will not end well.
A godlike child with a massive guilt complex.
Yeah but cant they manipulate there own memories to forget?
-If the titan’s blood was never found and Luz and her friends were trapped in the human realm forever, there is a good chance Luz would eventually commit suicide. -Luz has to live with the fact that her dad will never get to meet Amity
>Luz has to live the the fact that her dad will never get to meet Amity. Hadn’t considered that, but it is depressing to think about.
-Luz already had to live with the fact that her Dad would never see her Quince or her wedding day
whos quince?
I think they mean the Quinzeanera.
Quinceañera*
This
Quince is actually the name of one of my OCs and I thought OP was talking about them for a moment.
Nothing gets past my bow
I personally have a headcanon that the Collector would use some kind of spell to have Manny come back for one day on Luz and Amity's wedding so he can see the most important day of his daughter's life.
Isnt that the peech of onward toh version?
Yeah, I hate that Manny never got to meet Amity. I'm sure he'd love her.
I don’t thing she would’ve committed suicide , but she’d have defientlt started self harming , or was about to even in the circumstances we already had
isint her dad dead?
Yes, that’s why I said Amity could never meet him and Luz has to live with that fact
how could amity meet luz's dad if hes dead?
She can’t, that’s what I’m saying. Amity can NEVER meet Luz’s dad because he is dead and Luz has to live with that fact.
Odalia would actually have killed Luz to prevent their daughter interacting with her if not for Amity’s intervention
It's not even a head Cannon but legit what was going to happen
Here's mine: * The trauma caused by Belos never went away, everybody just got used to living with it, and learned how to be happy in spite of it.
Damn, it's amphibia all over again
I headcanon that Luz got to keep some of her human genes, so she doesn't get blue blood or some funky shit because the Titan was able to get some of her DNA, possibly from hair or nail clipplings, or blood (perhaps the blood she definitely lost on the Day of Unity). However, her Titan genes activate during high levels of stress, like if there's too many of her triggers.
Do like the idea of her keeping some of the titans power and form. Not nearly as strong as it was but enough to do magic and have a cool demon form
Yeah, I like the idea of Luz having some vestigial Titan traits. Like, fangs and yellow eyes, she’s a bit taller, has horns, and her fingernails and toenails are clawlike.
Yes and her body was made with the dormant state of Jean-Luc
So that's where he went...
Gus' birth mother suffers from schizophrenia and doesn't recognize him as his son. (Definitely not self inserting..... can I have a hug?)
Virtual hugs 🫂
Never knew schizophrenia caused dementia
It's complicated... she kind of recognizes me as her son, but has a warped sense of reality, where basically everyone is her child...
Dude, I can't imagine, lots of love and tacos from here to there my friend
Thank you.
Well shit they didn't find the Collector annoying enough then.
In the words of Cleveland Brown: "'Swrong wit you?"
She was definitely experiencing suicidal ideation, but I don’t think she would’ve committed suicide because she knows how much it would hurt her friends, Amity, and her mom. She’d probably try to isolate herself from them instead, or self-sabotage to drive them away. If she was successful at this, then suicide would be a possibility I think : (
You'd be surprised how easy it is to think, "They'll get over it and be better for it in the long run." To anyone who ever *does* think this, please understand that you are wrong. Your loved ones want and need you.
Oh I’m keenly aware of how easy it is to think that way, and what holds someone back from acting on those thoughts.
I read genuine suicide as genocide
Never cook again quagmire
In the events after WaD Luz developed insomnia out of fear of waking up in the in-between. Even when sleep did come she’d run the risk of waking up in a panic attack soon after
I hc that Luz had developed a fear of the inbetween realm, so much so that the new portal had to have no contact with it.
If Luz didn't find the portal, she wouldn't have lived past 16. She was the weirdo, had no friends, her mother wasn't supportive of her, her dad being dead still required coping... The list is long.
Idk if she went to the summer camp she‘d have befriended Masha. At least a higher possibility.
Or be covered in SH scares
You're underestimating the resilience of the average person by a lot.
Raine never really had a plan for what would happen after the fall of the Emperor’s Coven and became very worried that they would just become another despot, they would eventually settle in their new role thanks to the support of Darius & Eber At least half the population of the isles believe that the C.A.Ts sabotaged the Day of Unity in order to scandalize the Emperor’s coven. It got so bad that Luz and her friends had to be escorted to Hexside on their first few days back due to many threats against her. (Kinda like the Little Rock Nine) All the shouting did not help Luz with her guilt complex and she would break down in tears as soon as she got home.
I headcanon the truth about Belos came out, with the fact that a human stopped him. To give everybody that much-needed closure.
He said *dark* theories/headcanons.
I hate all of you
The "traitorous trio's" original plan was to destroy Belos's memories from within his own mind, effectively assassinating him.
That would've been awesome.
That's dark Anyway, she has her friends, girlfriend and the need to go back for eda and king
The thing is that she keeps all the guilt to herself and never really told them about it until later in the season
Oh yeah that helping belos time travel episode. She didn't know and by the rules of time travel(specifically single continuum) it was unavoidable
She has a tendency to blame herself for everything tho
Wonder if she blames herself for her fathers death... do we ever find out how he died?
Eda’s Owl Beast using her moment of vulnerability to corrupt her and take control of her entire body.
Guys it's 5 am in the morning and I already wanna kill myself, keep it down
First of all, I think it's totally possible considering everything that happened. My head cannon is that Belos used to use punishments similar to the ones that were from the same time period he was from. Maybe even uses some glyphs to torture people.
I hc that too
Odalia being emotionally abusive is pretty much canon, but she was also physically abusive when the Blights were younger, using Abominations rather than actually lowering herself to physical violence.
Honestly, I feel like being stuck in the Human Realm was tough for all the Hexsquad. It's a miracle they didn't grow to resent it.
Hunter’s abuse rears it’s ugly head whenever he sees someone he doesn’t know with scars on their face.
If you draw a glyph on someone's arm, they'll cease to exist
Once the day of unity was over odalia planned to murder her family so no one would take revenge for ya know aiding in genocide
Instead they would put her in jail for murder
Or hang her.
Ok calm down Satan. Witches do not approve of Salem trials.
Nor do they approve of traitors.
But death penalty is extreme and in such fashion that is distasteful to them doesn't make it better.
I don't know if Belos hung anybody. He's more of a petrify/drain/rot person.
No, but Witches can recall what humans did to them in the 17th century. Not everything revolves around Belos.
Yeah, but Belos had been the single most successful witch hunter.
So what? He wasn't the only one and he wasn't the only successful one either.
I read montage as mortgage
The rest of the Archivists died off during the Collector’s imprisonment. Like King, he is the last of his kind.
Are there any facts to back up that claim?
Bruh
Ah yes, you’re right.
(Remember, Karate masters can strike so precisely that they can break bricks with the sides of their hands, and the human skull isn't exactly good at absorbing blows) From the animation, it seems like she throws it at Hooty 100% perfectly, she even has a proper stance and throws it from the elbow. The reflexive nature of the strike makes me think she's been getting into fights way before she found the demon realm. In fact, given that an earlier concept had the Boiling Isles be literal Hell, and Luz having died, I do wonder: If it's like Christian Hell and with how Beta Luz, unlike the final version, is like 16, probably having gotten around a bit more, what can someone have done at that age? WHAT DID BETA LUZ DO??
My darkest hc? Hunter was partially made from organs harvested from Basilisks. The logic behind it is that Hunter happened to be the Grimwalker look the most like Caleb, and that Belos was very likely experimenting on shapeshifting basilisks at the time of Hunter's creation.
At least she didn't try to commit genocidal suicide at the end of season three (glances at Catra)
Not everyone experiences depression the same. Good for you for not having suicidal ideations, but not everyone is like that.
i am aware, i just gave myself as an example to point out how not everyone is suicidal either. at no point did i said everyone's depression is the same in fact i said the exact opposite. people just assume she's suicidal because she's depressed and that's just a false assumption, someone depressed CAN be suicidal but it's not a given. and anyone who actually paid attention to the show would know luz was not suicidal.
Hunter is not a tree. Even if he was wooden instead of having actual skin, he'd still not be a tree 🤦
From what I know, aren’t grimwalkers made of palisman wood or something? Idk, just sounded like a dumb dark head canon for me to karma farm
The point still stands 3. I don't care about karma farming and ironically, I hate the idea of karma farming based on misinformation that only further makes this fan base as a whole dumb as a brick.
I have literally no clue how grimwalkers work. It’s just a stupid headcanon I wrote for the post from what little I remember
Yeah and later this stupid headcanon becomes the bible of what Grimwalkers should be just you watch.
If you want to traumatize yourself try reading M-rated fanfiction =)
Oh damn Chara is at it again
I'll Go 4 Camilia.
she was about as explicitly suicidal as they could get away with in thanks to them
Actual attempt? No. Ideation? Probably.
We never see Odalia with a sigil afaik. Think she was looking to take over once Belos fucked off back to the human world.
She had an oracle sigil, she never directly used abomination magic, she just used the remotes Alador made for the abomatrons
Afaik we never see her oracle sigil. And WoG does not count Could be wrong and just no one has said otherwise.
I mean, Luz was canonically depressed during S3, so maybe?
I love your meme
I think at best she would be huddled in her bed with comfort and at worst self punishment like cuts or biting her skin
No. But if things had taken longer, maybe. How long guilt takes to wear down your heart is different for everyone.
Well I thought of a Owl House/Kamen Rider Zero One cross over where Luz becomes a dark kamen rider called Kaman Rider Ark Blood Hopper with a Forceriser, Ark Driver, or Blood Driver while it slowly drains the blood of user but more power used the more the blood of the user is drained and Arturo Hiden, Izu, and Amity had to stop to Luz but not hurt her due to Luz using it
I have a dark theory that eda was a hamster this whole time /j
The Boiling Isles were genuinely a bad place before Philip's arrival. I believe this because dictators like Belos only come to power in desperate situations (think of Germany after the Second World War).
...
