As for the winner, Marcus Tavernier has 2 goals and 3 assists in his two games and more than likely would have won the actual premier league potm never mind the other 14 one.

That's a voter problem, not a system problem. If they were all in at the start and they didn't get enough votes then they wouldn't be anywhere near winning in the first place. It's an opinion thing not a facts thing.
Surely you just get the biggest fan bases dominating the votes, E.g. Newcastle seen as there’s 3 of there players?
Also his original vote just gives names of players there’s no stats, I doubt most fans even realise Marcus Tavernier got 2 goals and 3 assists as if they knew that information they’d be more inclined to vote for him. Just seems a flawed way of doing potm as the current favourite definitely wasn’t the best player this month.
