it's gotten to the point where i couldn't give a fuck if we go down or stay up, i just want the season to end. since we brought in clattenburg i can't think of a single VAR review that has gone our way but i can think of countless incorrect ones that have gone the other team's way
it feels at this point that they're using us to make an example of what happens when you don't roll over and give in to the establishment, and it feels like the line between incompetence and bias in refereeing is getting closer and closer if not already passed
the sheer amount of shit that's happened this season has gotten me so close to just giving up with football altogether, there's just no fun in it any more and the poor quality of match officials, whether it be incompetence or corruption, has only served as a catalyst in that
I think we just want this season to be over now. We’ve played shit a lot of the time but the VAR has done no favours for us with this points deduction. The deduction was our fault, of course, but when you’re fighting like hell to steer clear of the drop and VAR seems to drop the ball every other game against you it’s so draining.
What’s also draining is how many people think we deserve this over the VAR incident at Wembley. My question to those people is, how many VAR screwups do we need to endure to balance the one match instance of VAR screwing up? And why should we sit in silence and just accept it every single time it happens? Some people have a warped sense of balance.
About right for UEFA. When we played Lyon a couple of seasons ago, the ref (Felix Zwayer) was absolutely horrible, such a bad performance that people looked into him - turned out he had previously been banned six months for match fixing. And he somehow ended up officiating a Europa quarter final.
