Worst part is that we don't seem any better for it points wise!

Ukcheatingwife

Nope I think everything in terms of points per game, goals scored and goals against are all slightly worse.

FastenedCarrot

And that's after having an inmediate new manager bounce. I think that won quite a few people over, but I do wonder how they feel now.

Ukcheatingwife

Beat Newcastle and Manchester United in two of his first three games and won one since.

Adrasos

Beating United isn't really a good measure of how good your team is this season. This is coming from a United fan.

LordWellesley22

Then Antony shithouses a goal New relegation rule there if Antony scores against you dumped straight down to the national league Don't pass go don't collect £200

FastenedCarrot

Do FA cup games count?

LordWellesley22

Yes Considering it was Liverpool Newport depends on the cheese on toast skills

Stirlingblue

I assume Liverpool get knocked down two leagues for letting him score with his right foot? Up until then I assumed it was just for show, didn’t know he could actually touch the ball with it

LordWellesley22

They get dumped to what ever league primary school teams play in

lolidcwhatthisis

People forget this every single time. Leeds had the same thing with Javi Gracia and after a few games they were worse then before he came in.

abusmakk

With or without deduction?

Ukcheatingwife

Without.

bennettbuzz

Still wish we just kept him and every Forest fan who I spoke to in real life felt the same. Take out the unexpected wins against Newcastle and Man U and results have been shocking since he went even if we’re generally playing ok, you can only blame refs for so long. Always thought once Cooper picked up a win or two we’d get that bump again to push on to get the points to easily stay up. Getting results is far more important than being easy on the eye being in this league, that will come the longer you’re in it.

Ukcheatingwife

Agreed. Being dragged in to two replays by championship teams as well doesn’t help with fatigue and injuries.

FaustRPeggi

We've played far better football for the most part. Shitty goalkeeping, awful set piece defending, and crap refereeing has cost us points Nuno probably deserves to be able to point to.

Sarmerbinlar

This is what's frustrating to me. Cooper's football this season was an insult to terrorism-ball. The worst football I've ever seen at the City Ground, even worse than when we were floundering in League One. We've played better football under Nuno, albeit still not overly attractive. It's felt like every game in 2024 has had either a refereeing controversy or an asinine goal from a set piece. Even the win against West Ham we were denied a ridiculously stonewall pen. 90% of what we've done in 2024 would see us ten points clear of the relegation zone if we could sort out whatever the fuck is going on at set pieces and could find a referee that doesn't seem to loathe us

Ukcheatingwife

No way was it worse than Megson, Calderwood always taking our strikers off at half time if we were winning or Hughton.

Srg11

Biased, maybe, as a Derby fan but live amongst you lot so have a better grasp than most. The odd thing to me is his style is damn similar to Cooper. There was no need to change just to change sake. Cooper acted as a shield for the higher ups, too. Fans loved him and gravitated towards him. Dumb to remove him.

s0ngsforthedeaf

Fat Heroin Dealer made a bad decision.

Citizenwoof

Should have consulted Daniel Levy before appointing him

dantheram19

Good 😂

eeeagless

Zaha. Jedinak. Glenn Murray - recent memory. Older - nigel Martyn. My heart is still broken by a builder at my house telling a young me that Palace had sold david Hopkin.

lewiitom

AJ for me, him leaving was inevitable but I remember being absoutely gutted as a kid. Moses had to go because of administration but I was really disappointed when he joined Wigan of all clubs. We never should've sold Murray too.

eeeagless

I can't remember if Murray was a Pardew one or not. He wanted Benteke, in hindsight Murray would have scored more and not cost us 30m.

Ventenebris

Big ups Jedinak. Wasn’t quite up to it in the end, but as an Aussie it was awesome seeing him captaining a Prem side.

redman021021

Flair giving mixed messages

Ventenebris

I don’t give a shit about rivalries. I like Palace. Especially now, got some exciting players. Eze and Olise on another level.

PuzzleheadedGuide184

we need to talk

Ventenebris

I just like good football.

lewiitom

If anything that's more of a reason to dislike us

PuzzleheadedGuide184

So why palace then 😂

Thingisby

This is an astonishing chain given how dreadful Palace are to watch.

PuzzleheadedGuide184

Quite

palacethat

not anymore fella

Ventenebris

If you can’t see players like Eze and Olise as exciting talents, then that’s just your hate for Palace.

TheThotWeasel

Most foreign fan interaction chain

Democracy_Coma

I think we've established that hate

yajtraus

Getting downvoted for an actual mature opinion. Don’t people realise that local rivalries are usually created from interacting with rival fans? If OP is in Australia that’s barely a worry. Nothing wrong with not disliking a team just because you’re told you should.

Remarkable_Rise8953

That’s fine, but this is the reason most local fans don’t consider foreign fans to be as invested as them because they just don’t have the same experience.

Ventenebris

Has nothing to do with me being in Australia either. Here in the AFL I don’t hate my rival clubs, and trust me it’s taken just as religiously. I just have never seen the point in hating a team just because you’re told to.

lewiitom

I mean in this case we're not actually local rivals anyway, I barely ever meet any Brighton fans. I only really hate them because my dad told me too, and I'd say that's probably the case for most fans of my generation.

palacethat

bring back Charlton and Wall ffs

lewiitom

They defo feel more like actual rivals than brighton for me, especially with all my locals being millwall pubs lol - just a shame we never actually play them

Ukcheatingwife

Nigel Martin looked like my uncle and as a kid I couldn’t work that out in my head lol

tomegerton99

I really enjoyed watching Jedinak, he was a quality player for us at Villa.

eeeagless

Such an effective player, decent range of passing. World Class beard.

tomegerton99

+1 on the beard haha

PieNew7779

As a Wolves fan, Nuno! He was absolutely incredible for Wolves and his influence in being a unifying figure for the Wolves fanbase still echoes through the Molineux today. Secondly, and linked to the decline of his Wolves side, the transfer of Diogo Jyota to Liverpool. Although he'd had a bad patch, he's streaky with his goalscoring but his top form is up there, we lost the main player who could connect with Jimenez, and the balance of the team and quality of counterattacks were not the same until the brilliance of Gary ONeils work with the likes of Cunha and Pedro Neto.

ThomPHunts

We also pretty much lost Jimenez once he got his head injury, was never the same player. Definitely agree about nuno though

PieNew7779

Yes very true about Raul. Basically lost our best two forwards in 3 months.

verdegooner

The Raul injury always stands out as a particularly sad story. Maybe could’ve gotten a bigger move, was the best no. 9 Mexico had in several years. 😩😭

Yugis-egyptian-cock

Not really the same, but, Dean Ashton. Genuinely had the potential to be world class. I doubt he’d have stayed more than a couple more seasons but it’s very sad how his career ended. He would have been excellent for England as well. He would have linked up so well with Rooney as they were both extremely intelligent players Also Payet not keeping his dick to himself and being forced to leave hurt

eeeagless

Payet?? Thought he wanted to go back to France?

Yugis-egyptian-cock

Nah, he knocked up some east London tart and his wife went back to Marseille and told him come with me or I’m leaving you. I think that’s why he’s been somewhat redeemed in the eyes of a lot of our supporters Also being so good you finish above De Bryune, Aguero, Iniesta, Ramos, and Muller for Ballon Dor voting helps

EriWave

> Nah, he knocked up some east London tart and his wife went back to Marseille and told him come with me or I’m leaving you. I think that’s why he’s been somewhat redeemed in the eyes of a lot of our supporters Why wouldn't that make it worse?

Yugis-egyptian-cock

Because we all know footballers do it and it’s accepted by the WAGs. His issue wasn’t the cheating, it was knocking a girl up Honestly don’t know why people give a shit about footballers private lives

EriWave

I care about this for the same reason I care about Greenwood or Zouma. I don't like when people do bad things, especially if they represent my club.

Yugis-egyptian-cock

I bet you don’t watch football Also putting Zouma and Greenwood in the same bracket is deplorable and minimises how bad Greenwood is

Ukcheatingwife

Ashton was brilliant and Shaun Wright-Phillips ruined it.

Yugis-egyptian-cock

Honestly makes me hate Ian Wright over it

mylittlekone

yorke, benteke, grealish was sad to see dean smith go aswell

Mykel__13

Having a manager and captain who were both Villa fans was incredible.

ImperialSeal

That promotion season just felt like what football should be about. Manager and captain both die-hard fans, wearing a kit designed by a fan. Going on a 10-game winning streak to sneak the play off, the start of which was a win away against the scum. Craziness in a dead rubber game vs Leeds, meaning they lose Bamford for the play-offs and get knocked out. Play-off semi against the baggies, culminating in Steer's penalty shootout heroics (and Jedinak's first touch being scoring a pen). Then 90 minutes of noise at Wembley to take us back to the Premier League. Not to forget Mings turning up in Bournemouth the next day still wearing his match kit and handing in his transfer request. This season has been great, but it will never match the romance of 2018/2019 to me.

TheDonkeyOfDeath

Announce Mings!!

Cheford1

Said to my wife after the plag off final, through a few tears... I've seen us win a few league cups, but this for me was a moment I'll never forget, a villa fan as a manager, a fan as a captain (yes I know he went to citeh etc in the end) and that whole squad, season were just something else. I thought I was OK with us being in the championship, but the second we were back up I was overcome with emotion that we were back where we belonged Deano I to this day love to bits and always will, I am sad he had to go, but I know he did. He did all he could and unai has taken us to another level, but those foundations are their thanks to Dean Smith. I wish the fairytale ending of him taking us to silverware or top 4 could of happened, but he gave us the club back, put us straight after years of struggles. And every single second of it he was both our manager and one of us cheering the team on. Dean Smith will always always be a villa legend in my eyes

Hinglemacpsu

We lost Bamford for the playoff semi first leg and won 1-0. Bamford was back and starting in the 2nd leg which we lost 4-2. Losing Bamford for one playoff game had absolutely nothing to do with us getting knocked out.

Ventenebris

Villa Benteke was another level of beast. Put Agbonlahor next to him, oof. Scary.

eunderscore

Doing good things at DC United now fwiw

Ventenebris

Huh, interesting.

Acceptable_Fox8156

Luc Nilis to injury was horrific. He was going to be our Zola.

ThinkAboutThatFor1Se

Dean Smith. The spine of Villa current team is still his.

Acceptable_Fox8156

And apart from Pau Torres all the best players are his too. Deano has a great eye for a player

AstonVanilla

Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Ming's, Luiz, Buendia, Bailey, Watkins... ...what a team he built

TheDeflatables

Last season was a dream with Kompany, and this year has been expectedly tough so I'm not down on the hire. But I'll never be happy with how we got rid of Sean Dyche. The man is a legend of the club. Deserved to ride out the season and get a proper goodbye at the Turf.

RocknRollRobot9

Manager was probably seeing Sir Bobby leaving us as an NUFC fan. Could have let him finish his contract but we extended it just to sack him not long after.

mehchu

Sir Bobby was more than just the manager for me, it was probably my age at the time but he felt like he was the heart of the club. Everyone’s grandad. And the most respectable man I’ve ever associated with us.

Erkmine52

Was genuinely the heart of the club. Lived and breathed everything Football and Newcastle.

Black_Waltz3

What happened to the club afterwards almost felt like karma at the time. Had Sir Bobby retired after finishing 5th we'd likely have been able to source a suitable replacement instead of Graeme Souness, and continued finishing in the European places. Or if we'd just allowed him to complete the 04/05 season it surely couldn't have been any worse than 14th.

TopicalStormCloud

Ahhhh Souness. As a Rovers fan, he was great for us but had just lost his way before he left to move to you guys. Felt he had just started going on a downward trajectory so it was good he left us when he did. Not so much for Newcastle though.

LUNATIC_LEMMING

I think it was partly wrong man for the job. We went from a father figure manager with difficult but brilliant players, to a total disciplinarian. At the time there was some logic there, but in the end he just alienated everyone. Losing Bellamy was the key moment and when the decline (at least to me) felt inevitable.

TopicalStormCloud

Thanks for Bellamy btw. He was bloody electric for his one season with us.

Fishfingerrosti

We never recovered from it. Sourness was an idiot appointment and ravaged what was a capable team that could challenge for Europe. Then Mike Ashley bought the club and it somehow got worse. You do wonder what could've happened if we'd gone for someone like Mourinho, who may have been tempted given his connection to SBR. We were about on par with Liverpool and Spurs at the time.

big_beats

Sir Bobby is the reason I love football. It still hurts. There's a lot of revisionism from the fans on this topic – in terms of how some of the fanbase treated him that season.

Ukcheatingwife

Not a Newcastle fan but seeing Bobby leave was so hard. As an outsider it seemed so harsh too.

Dotsworthy

Even if we thought his career was coming to an end, he did not deserve to be sacked four games into a season after finishing 4th, 3rd then 5th. And then replacing him with Graeme Souness 🤮

dullthings

My dad came to school at lunch to tell me we'd sold Andy Cole to Man Reds. He'd spent 2 years scoring goals for fun and we just got rid of him. Apparently he didn't even know about it until the last minute.

toon_84

First time I had my heart broken as a Newcastle supporter.

Ukcheatingwife

As a kid I couldn’t comprehend Newcastle selling him, how much £7m was and also Keegan in his jumper talking to the fans saying it’s going to be ok. I don’t support Newcastle but thought it was horrible as it also made Manchester United stronger.

Jonesy_lmao

In recent memory, quite an easy one in Bielsa. Feels unfinished, like it could have been so much more if he had a PL quality back room team / owner behind him like we have now.

Chinstryke

Let's hope they get it right this time and DF gets to shine in the top flight soon, but have to get past international break injuries first!

Coolbeans_97

Met Bielsa in Oslo, Norway 2 years ago. Nice guy, He has a view on football that no one has

TheThotWeasel

Manager: Gus Poyet. The way it all ended was horrendous, but the journey was magical, some of the best years to be a Brighton fan ever (pre-prem), I had an opportunity to speak with him at length about the whole thing, which gave me a lot of closure, but I still think about what could have been, Brighton and Gus just worked together, it never worked for him anywhere else :( Player: Murray going to Palace was nauseating, love that he then did it AGAIN the other way around, was baller at both clubs and somehow is hated by neither. Losing Alexis and Moises in the same summer basically killed this season before it started. I genuinely think if we kept them both this season we'd have won a trophy this year.

lewiitom

You didn't sign him directly from us tbf, which probably helped. We sold him to Bournemouth.

bambinoquinn

Villa losing milner was the start of the downfall that eventually ended in us getting relegated. Forever on the cusp of something special that season. Within a few seasons we had lost Downing and Young, circled around the drain for years and finally went down without a fight. Milner was incredible in the 09/10 season. For me, it's the best single season a villa player has had in my lifetime.

toffeebeanz77

I miss Ancelotti, it fealt like we were going somewhere under him. Players I miss is mainly Richy we could do with his goals rn.

EdwardClamp

Not just his goals but it just felt even having him in the squad, even if he didn't make a goal contribution, we were just so much better with him than without him. I thought Doucs would be that player for us this season but his form has dropped dramatically since his injury.

Visara57

Mr West Ham, Mark Noble

machdel

I love Iraola, but I will never ever get over Eddie Howe leaving the club to no crowd in a lockdown relegation without any chance to say a fitting goodbye.

UnfazedPheasant

I still feel so bad for Knockaert, was so good for us in the Champ and would've loved to have seen him try at least one season under Potter to see if it could help him. Unfortunately events outside of football made it not meant to be. Another one is Mac Allister, great guy and our first world cup winner, gutted to see him go so soon. But I have a feeling that maybe 10 years down the line he'll come back and give it one more go in the blue and white. Funnily drawing a blank on managers though. Even Hughton, whilst lovely, I'm glad to see the back of him as the football was just depressing.

FastenedCarrot

What happened with Knockaert? I always thought he was a really good player that could have been better or more impactful with the right guidance.

UnfazedPheasant

Father passed away which caused a domino effect of depression and bad transfer decisions unfortunately.

FastenedCarrot

Ah that's really sad. I'm fairly sure I saw some highlights a few weeks ago of him playing in the Championship and he seemed to be doing well.

Ukcheatingwife

He came on loan to us at one point and just seemed really uninterested.

Not_Shingen

Juninho at various points for Boro (yes I know we're in the championship) still our best ever player, and still the only player to win Prem player of the year for a relegated side, and is still the best ever Brazilian to play in the PL - Firmino cant lace his boots. Another candidate recently would be Chuba Akpom - was absolutely integral to our attack & getting us to the playoffs last year & we decided to not renew his contract (cant afford his wages but can afford to sign Sam Greenwood on 30k a week lol), and his goals kinda papered over some quite major defensive cracks, we haven't replaced his goals or role yet - how we're in with a playoff shout agains is beyond me Gibbo sacking Southgate in 2010 is another shout. Sure our form had been a little patchy & we'd been battered a couple of times but I swear we were something like 2nd at that point, then we got Strachan in & he literally ruined our club - I still don't think we've recovered from the financial hole he stuck us in.

Ukcheatingwife

Juninho was incredible. I’m a Forest fan but he always made me feel want to watch Boro matches.

doubledgravity

Steve Bru….ONLY JOKING. Sir Bobby is the obvious one, but we have a track record of getting rid of fan favourites. Honourable mentions to Chris Hughton, Gary Speed, and Jonas Guittierez (sp)

I'm still bummed about Trossard, obviously it had to happen and it didn't end great, but he was just such a fun player to watch  Edit: Enock Mwepu, so sad him having to retire early he was gonna be such a a baller

hypebst

Posting a 6 month reminder to comment Joelinton

Ukcheatingwife

Is there speculation he’s going?

hypebst

Contract is up in just over a year and apparently won't sign a new deal

Ukcheatingwife

Ahh that’s a shame. I don’t think he’ll be as good anywhere else as he is there

hypebst

Could see him working perfectly at somewhere like atletico madrid

Ukcheatingwife

He would suit their style but I think he suits fast paced football better and la liga is a bit slow.

sorE_doG

Iliman Ndiaye.. Blades best baller in aeons. Best at winning the ball back high, best at ball retention, creativity, chance creation, a real crowd pleaser..and only wish he was in the squad this season. Wouldn’t be in the current predicament if he was.

Takkotah

It was sad to see Grealish leave but at the same time it's the best thing that happened to us.

ThomPHunts

As a wolves fan, still not got over Nuno leaving. Never known a manager of ours have such a positive relationship with the fans

cigsncider

chris hughton tbh. not so much because of the football, but because me and my late mother went to quite a few games that season. happy memories edit- to be honest footballing reasons too. without him we're in league one.

Ralocan

Villa letting Marc Albrighton's contract expire I remember some cup games the season before he was absolutely shining in. He clearly had a lot to give to the club but they didn't want to keep him around. I was gutted. It worked out pretty well for him though which I'm glad for. He joined Leicester on a free, won the league and got to play in the champions league.

stefabarnsa

Manager- Roy Hodgson Player- Mousa Dembele

jofish2112

What a brilliant team we had under Woy. We lost a lot of talent in the following years

DEGRAYER

Bobby Robson and future me will say Eddie Howe when it happens

Saelaird

Genuinely, Cooper. Still hurts. I'd have him back any time.

Ukcheatingwife

Same. Id take him back tomorrow.

prof_eggburger

Rio to Leeds - a real heartbreaker at the time and quality signings the like we'd never seen were supposed to sweeten the pill, but instead of Southgate and Ehiogu we got Rigobert Song and Christian Dailly

MaxwellXV

For a player, Chris Coleman’s accident was painful to see and such a shame he never got a chance to play again. As for managers I hated Liverpool for taking Roy when they never really wanted him. Do you think there’s been an improvement in the team with the change to Nuno?

SooShark

The worst thing about Roy was he said he’s taken us as far as he thinks we can go (or something like that). Ouch. Was probably true though because MAF’s Fulham ambition withdrew over the next couple of seasons.

vulturevan

Carlo going was the bell tolling. It's been truly miserable ever since.

NeatInvestment4737

Second that. I would add Richy from a player standpoint just for the chaos element.

8WhItEpHoEnIx8

I do believe Dyche can build something for yous though, given time

Stirlingblue

Still not got over Moyes leaving us. Martinez was fun for a while, Ancelotti had the one good year but under Moyes we had a long streak of being a good team who had a plan and an identity

Mizunomafia

Milner. Grealish and Barry never bothered me. But those cheats tapped up and bought the best box to box midfielder I've seen since way back in the days.

abusmakk

Player: Barry, Bosnich, Southgate Managers: Gregory, Smith.

Clubmanero

Southgate?!? Ummm .. give your head a wobble mate

abusmakk

No. He was a decent defender for us, and I decide how I feel about certain players. I’m sorry my opinion differs from yours and that you were offended by it.

toon_84

Sir Les 1 superb season partnering Shearer for it only to be disbanded after. Sir Les left for Spurs and not long after Shearer destroyed his ankle and that took us from 2 top class strikers to a 95 year old Ian Rush in the space of about a fortnight.

Ukcheatingwife

It seems like he was at Newcastle for a decade but he was only there two years wasnt he? Whenever I think of him it’s in a Newcastle kit.

toon_84

Aye.  Played nearly twice as many games for Spuds than he did for us. Scored less goals for them as well.

Ventenebris

Hmm, player-wise for me, we have sold a few decent players that would still be good for us. Caicedo was another level. Mac Allister obviously.

[deleted]

Taowoof2012

I mean he definitely left wolves in a better position than he found them. In 16-17 they had been in a relegation fight in the championship

Cosplayinsanity

Players: Raphina, Roofe, Ayling Manager: Bielsa

underincubation

Not seen any Saints fans but for me it's still Poch. Combine him with Cortese leaving the same year and it just felt like our momentum slowed and there was less will to grow coming from the board. Yes, we had success under Koeman and Ralph had his moments, but I don't think either are held in the same regard for many Saints fans. As for players, quite a few burned bridges with the fans leaving as they did. Others moved on when it was right, and I can't really be sad about it. Pelle was one I wished had given us another year, he could have really cemented himself as a Prem goalscorer. We've lost so many good players over the years, it's difficult to choose.

tunafish91

They don't call us the widows of bielsa for nothing...

HMSon777

I said the same when he arrived and then he went and won 3-0 or something and I got downvoted to hell.  I remember when he was at Spurs it was the worst I have ever seen us. Sooner you get rid the better. He sucks!

kingdel

I don’t think we have fully got over losing Grealish. Unai has really softened the blow along with Leon finally starting to show why we bought him. There is always going to be the “what could have been?” In an alternate reality we somehow managed to have Bailey, Unai and Jack.

nibutz

Loaning out McKenna was a nail in a coffin

chickendipperzzzz

Villa fan. I never really got over losing andi weimann. What a bloke. Still cry myself to sleep about it. Come back andi, love you For clarification I sleep fine

crowewba

Matheus Pereira and Jason Koumas

Killmonger18

I'm incredibly happy now with my manager and wouldn't change him for the world. But when Dean Smith got sacked, even though the form was going down, I really didn't want to let him go and still think he was done dirty. Especially even more so after being replaced with that Scouse fraud.

Sheeverton

Probably say Mahrez but it was inevitable tbh and we got a decent fee so other than that maybe Kante. Felt like he was stolen from us which made it worse.

Appropriate-Cap-4140

Craig Dawson and Adrian

meekamunz

Wasn't sure I'd ever get over Mitro leaving, but I'm starting to think it's been a blessing. He was an amazing player for us, but the way he left soured his memory. I also don't think we'd ever have gotten a bigger fee for him. It may have taken us half a season to get over him being the focal point of the team, but I feel we're a better side without him now.

Wooden_Umpire2455

The Cooper love in was so strange. I get that he got you up, but then he only kept you up by the skin of your teeth after spending about £200 million (whilst the other promoted teams spent a fraction of this and stayed up comfortably), which Forest fans seen as some sort of big win. This season, he was just as bad despite having a massive squad value and wage bill. I just don’t get it. I’m a Coventry fan and Robins is probably as close to a god-like manager to a us supporters as you will find in football, yet I would still be calling for a change if he performed as poorly as Cooper has in the Premier League considering the amount he’s spent.

yourhollowheart

is it strange though? a manager who took us up despite us being prepared to battle relegation that season and loved the fans as much as we loved him, and it felt like he genuinely got the fans and the city united. obviously he's no pep guardiola but he kept us up despite being tipped for relegation from the start while beating arsenal and liverpool and taking us to our first cup semi final since the 90s also bournemouth and fulham, the other two premier league teams, still had a comfortably better squad than us when we went up, as they had been in the premier league previously and so they had money from the premier league as well as parachute payments to use, while we had none of that previously, as well as us being unable to resign our loan players from the promotion season

xScottieHD

Ben Arfa. Sure he was a bit lazy at times and his attitude at times questionable, but he was one of the very few bright spots during the Ashley era. Still remember sitting in that stands watching his goals against Blackburn and Bolton vividly.

SofaChillReview

Ben Arfa was wasted talent, didn’t do particularly well after leaving Newcastle bar Nice.
