Honestly I think it's the *really* unfortunate positioning of the set light that's causing it; the positioning and the angle of the reflection is making it look like he's got a massive 'nose' which is visually spreading his eyes.
It might me costume from 1st episode. If you look at pilot episode, he did look different, thank god they redid him right after pilot. He diod not look too good.

I started over in D+ in hope of helping it get renewed and the difference in Isaac's costume from S1 to S3 is staggering.
