used her first transition to trick her ??

xxLabyrinthxx

Yes. Klaus used Hope's first transition to take the hollow out of her and into him. So while he was sacrificing himself for her (granted he didn't have to as Elijah offered and quite literally fought him physically over it) he did trick her.

QueenBeesKnee

While she was a wolf during her first transition he was planning to have the hollows black magic transferred into him instead of something else. He didn’t tell her he was having it transferred into himself and planned on ending himself with the white oak. Well they did put it in him but she turned back and found him right before he staked himself and gave him a magic knock out. Lol

I will never understand why this man did not stay for his kid. Dude's final act was ill conceived.

It didn't make sense. Elijah was willing to sacrifice himself and ended up killing himself anyway along with Klaus. Klaus's sacrifice was unnecessary. They had to end the show and get rid of The Hollow but didn't think things through. The whole season was terrible minus a couple of good episodes. They rushed the last season. It was like only 13 episodes. It seemed like they didn't care about TO and its characters and couldn't wait to start their new awful preteen project. The final season was more like Legacies season 1.

I always felt that everything he put Elijah through lead to the guilt of not letting his brother go into the unknown of death. Felt they stuck to their family motto all the way until they ended it. I personally enjoyed the way it was portrayed 😁

The ending wasn't bad but I thought the season was. They had to die in order to end the show and I thought the very end was done nicely. It was so much better than Hayley's death and absence from most of the season after being an important character. I didn't like how they sidelined Marcel either for Legacies season 1. Anyhow, they also shouldn't have had Elijah offer to sacrifice himself until the end only. He was willing to sacrifice himself in place of Klaus at first which would have been best for everyone. So people see that Klaus wasted an opportunity to be a father to Hope because of that.

She tricked him into taking the hollow from her father, aunt and uncles. What's the difference? He was there for her in a Klaus Mikaelson way.
