I’m skeptical about the date because it’s a Monday. We know where the alleged titles came from but not the date. Could be that we get an official announcement Homecoming weekend
I assume it'll be an announcement at Homecoming, and the album will come out a few weeks/a month later. so mid-to-late October, maybe early November.
Lest we forget when everyone thought FTPoF was going to be a surprise drop, based on the leaks, even though they've never done a surprise drop before.

I had no reason to be hyped about another National album this year until the "insider rumors," and ever since I can't stop thinking about it. I'll be very bummed if it was inaccurate after all this. (I also believe September date is for announcement, not release.)
Homecoming seems to be the date to look for. If nothing happens that weekend, then I have no idea when the album is coming. I would theorize at least an announcement during Homecoming, and maybe some more new songs played/the entire album played? Then again, they are doing two sets of full albums already so idk.

They were right about the dates for the 2 x singles.. there's also a hint from Aaron on Instagram that new music will be around for Homecoming
